A cracked gaze
"How am I gonna clean all this up?" Dolan asked himself. The studio where he did S.P.D looked as if a hurricane occurred. In the latest video, D.M.B crashed the video, and screwed everything up. "How could he just but-in like that? All the trees are gone!" Dolan said, as he stared out the window. No trees in the area at all. Although, there were no trees there to begin with.
'He broke everything. The trees, my peppy attitude, my brain, the alternate universe mirror, the....wait a second!' He thought. Dolan glanced over to the cursed mirror, seeing a punched hole in it. He never planned on using it again, but Dolan couldn't stand it being so carelessly shattered. "I'll need help fixing this." He said.
Dolan walked over to Shima's office, where she was uploading a blooper video on her channel. When Dolan walked in, she turned her head. "Hey Dolan. What's up?" Shima asked. She noticed the shy look on Dolan's usually bright face. "What's wrong, Dolan? Is everything alright?" She asked, concerned.
"Sh..Shima," Dolan began to say, "you remember that alternate uni-"
"Do Not Bring It Up!" Shima interrupted. "We swore we'd never speak of it again! So, why are you bringing it up?" She yelled, furiously. Dolan's face began heating up, not wanting to continue, but did anyway.
Finally, he spat out, "D.M.B broke it in the last S.P.D video." Shima's eyes widened. Although she hated the looking glass, having D.M.B get away with destruction infuriated her. "Can you help fix it?" Dolan shyly asked.
Shima pondered for a while, sighed, and replied, "Alright fine. I don't like broken glass on the floor." Dolan did a derpy smile. Shima grabbed a bottle of clear super glue, and they headed to the studio. Once they got there, Shima took in all of the destruction. "Why didn't you tell me he wrecked the WHOLE STUDIO!?" She shouted. Ignoring her, Dolan walked over to the shattered mirror. The glass bits on the floor weren't really tiny, but still as sharp as a knife. Only about 20 pieces were on the floor, and they could be held in your hand.
"Good thing I carry gloves in my hat!" Dolan exclaimed. He reached into his hat, and pulled out two pairs of protective gloves. The duo began carefully gluing the mirror back together. After about a few hours, all of the pieces were on, and the glue was almost dry. "Now we won't bring it up again." Dolan announced. Shima rolled her eyes, not believing this would be the final time. Her prediction was correct. Soon after Dolan said that, Hellbent came into the studio.
"Hey guys, I can't find my dia- I mean I can't find Melissa's diary. Yeah, let's go with that. Uh, Melissa asked me to look for it and uh, have you guys seen it?" Hellbent asked, trying to cover his slip up. He then noticed the mirror with cracks in it. "Where did that cool mirror come from?" Hellbent asked. Shima put her head in her paw. Dolan began regretting making the new promise.
"It's nothing. Also, I haven't seen 'Melissa's' diary. Go and, uh, narrate stuff." Dolan said as he shooed the demon away. Hellbent didn't move. Whether he was now interesting in the glass, or the diary, he wasn't going.
"If you must know, it's an alternate universe mirror that Dolan and I got trapped in once. D.M.B broke it, and we fixed it." Shima explained. Hellbent began smiling and shaking a little bit.
"That's so COOL! What is alternate me like? Can I go in it? Does it still work?" Hellbent asked. Dolan nor Shima have ever seen Hellbent so excited. They didn't want him to go near it though. Shima put a sheet over it, and shook her head.
"I'm not sure if it still works, but if it does, I don't want you near it. Please don't tell anyone about it. I don't need them getting trapped too." Shima said.
"And if ye do tell, you'll walk the plank!" Dolan yelled, while wearing an eyepatch. Hellbent knew right away what Dolan meant, and nodded. "Just kidding man, but still!" Dolan said. He didn't have the heart to fire him. Hellbent exited the studio, still curious about the mirror. Just then, he bumped into Dolan's bro.
"I heard a little bit of that conversation, but I'm not sure what it was about. Could you tell me?" D.M.B said out of nowhere. Remembering what Dolan and Shima said, Hellbent shook his head and tried to walk away. Unfortunately, D.M.B blocked his path. No matter where he tried to go, D.M.B was in the way. "Please?" He asked. Hellbent continued to refuse. "Fine, I know what will make you talk." The mysterious brother said. Hellbent was confused. D.M.B then pulled out a little black book with the abbreviation "H.B" in red ink in the corner, and red hearts across the cover.
"My diary!" Hellbent shouted, then covered his mouth. "How did you get that?" He whispered. D.M.B began to taunt Him. He motioned the book to Hellbent, then pulled it away, with him falling for it every time. The more he was taunted, the more anxious Hellbent got. "GIVE IT BACK OR ELSE!" Hellbent finally yelled.
"I'll hand it back if you tell me about your talk with the feline and my brother." D.M.B replied. Sometimes it seemed like he was more of a demon than Hellbent, and that says a lot. Hellbent started to shake with anxiety and fear. He wrote a lot of personal stuff in that little book. He had no choice but to tell D.M.B about it.
"The mirror that you broke last week was actually a portal to a different dimension, and Shima and Dolan just patched it up." Hellbent quickly said. D.M.B nodded, and handed back the diary.
"Thank you, Mr.Hellbent," D.M.B started to say, "by the way, I already knew," He smirked, and walked over to the S.P.D studio. Hellbent was speechless. On the other side of the room, PringleTheOne and Melissa were peaking in the corner.
"Dude, did you hear that! A magic mirror in the studio! Man, we gotta check it out!" Pringle exclaimed. Melissa shrugged.
"I don't know. Hellbent looked worried about telling D.M.B. Maybe we shouldn't check it out. Besides, what if it's dangerous?" Melissa asked. She didn't really like dealing with magical objects or anything that could be harmful. Pringle rolled his eyes.
"It'll be so dang cool! C'mon! Or do you wanna be a square?" Pringle said. Melissa crunched up her face. Nobody called her square, especially a fellow square.
"Let's do this," she whispered, hesitantly. They too, began to go to the portal. The duo grabbed Hellbent on the way there. He tried to stop them, but it was no use. Once they arrived, they could hear arguing going on.
"Just let me see it Dolan!"
"No! I'm not letting you do more damage!"
"You are so stupid , Dolan!"
"Take that back, you...you...jerk!"
"Guys! Stop! This is getting out of hand!"
The fighting went on for a while. Since the danger brothers and Shima were distracted, Melissa and Pringle were able to slip passed them with ease. They approached the glass, not caring that it was a little cracked. "This is flipping cool! So many cool vibes are coming from this. I can tell." Pringle said in amazement. Melissa was very impressed too. Eventually, the arguing dwindled down, and Dolan noticed his yellow and purple friends.
"Guys! Get away from that! Hellbent, you told them!?" Dolan flipped out, now turning his attention to his red friend.
"I only told D.M.B, apparently he already knew. I didn't know they were listening!" Hellbent responded. D.M.B tried to give an innocent look, but everyone could see passed it. Shima was sweating like crazy. She didn't want to deal with it anymore, but now everyone knew!
"Why is this happening? I just wanted to upload stuff." Shima mumbled. A few tears began to run down her face. Dolan noticed this, and began to turn red. Everyone started to feel guilty.
"If I didn't ease drop, this wouldn't be happening." Pringle said.
"No, it's my fault for letting you drag me into it." Melissa mumbled.
"Why did I give into pressure?" Hellbent asked himself.
"I'm sorry Shima. I shouldn't have asked for your help. I should've let it stay broken." Dolan said, meekly.
Shima noticed everyone blaming themselves, but it was no one in particular's fault. "Guys, it..its okay. This was a..a group problem. I should've known this mirror would come back to bite me in the butt."
"Well, at least I'm in the clear," D.M.B said smugly. They all glared at him. Dolan walked over and shoved him. He then headed over to the mirror with Pringle and Melissa. Hellbent soon followed, as did Shima, and D.M.B. They all were eventually glancing into the cracked mirror.
"Y'know, I wonder if the other world still exists..." Dolan said.
The mirror suddenly switched sides, showing Reverse Dolan glancing in the mirror.
