AN: The title is a pun, not a typo...sorry, if you're going to read my stories, you have to deal with my puns!

Lol, in all seriousness I want to thank and apologize to my readers! You guys have been so sweet with you're comments and votes! I've been so busy and I want you to know that I really appreciate every word and every vote and every view each chapter gets!

Anna was always the kind of person who enjoyed learning. That didn't mean she liked homework or the more taxing and boring parts of school, but she loved to learn. She had loved almost all of her classes when she was a child.

Except Divination.

Yes, it is possible to see into the future, but it is very rare and she saw no point in it. When she was in school the Marauders would try and see who could make up the most dramatic vision to tell the teacher in order to get an O. That was how you passed that class, with lies. All you have to do is make up a story. It certainly helped improve the Marauders' acting skills but she hated it because it had no real use.

Not to mention Divination teachers were usually weird, nutty, distant, over dramatic hippies (no offense).

Professor Moorwood was an eccentric man who had taught Divinations when Anna and her friends went to Hogwarts. He was bald with graying blonde hair on either side of his head that stuck up in a clown-like style. He had wild green eyes, old wiry round glasses, and a wrinkles that showed his age and laugh lines. The man always smelled like stale, burnt, popcorn. Padfoot used to joke that it was because his brain was fried.

The professor wouldn't have been so bad if he hadn't been so darn crazy. He was so unfocused, random and ignorant and just too illogical for her. She had had to hold her tongue to keep from getting into an argument with that man. Even Lily had had a verbal quarrel or two over his logic. He was also very obviously a fake. His predictions he got right were usually very generic and could apply to anyone or just plain wrong. She enjoyed pretending she could see the future though. It was fun to put a hand to your head and shout that you could see that Jeremy Parkinson was going to die of blood poisoning. Ugh, she hated Jeremy. His daughter, Pansy, was just as annoying, too.

She remembered how freaked out her good friend, Alice Longbottom, had gotten when Moorwood had told her she had "THE GRIM!" in her tea cup. Anna had been pretty sure it was just a blob of leaves of no discernible shape(she had been Alice's partner since Lily and Sev had already paired together), but the manic man had snatched the cup a way too quickly for her to see it clearly. Poor Alice had nightmares about a black dog coming to get her. Sirius had dramtically exclaimed how offended he was that "THE GRIM!" looked almost exactly like his animagus form. James had laughed and told him he should follow Alice around to scare her but Anna and Remus had warned them that if they did that they would shave both of the pompous Gryffindor's heads. Needless to say, Alice was left alone.

This was why Remus had never expected Red to get along with Sybill Trelawney. But, in fairness, the woman had went a little too far.

Trelawney had come to their classroom early that morning to introduce herself and asked if the couple would like to have a nice cup of tea with her. The Lupins, never ones to turn down a nice cup of tea, of course, agreed. The three had made some small talk and Anna had begun to think maybe she had been too quick to judge Sybill. But then she and Remus finished their tea and they quickly realized what this meeting was really all about.

Trelawney snatched the teacup off of the table before the redhead could even finish setting it down. Anna's irritation level rose but she allowed it.

The sorceress looked up at Anna, "The comb, you will be betrayed. The Vase, a friend will come to you in need. Finally, the branch, means-" Anna rose an eyebrow, "Wait a minute. You are saying those clumps of brown stuff are a Vase, a comb, and a bloody branch?! That's preposterous!"

The woman sighed with a sympathetic look at the Gryffindor witch, "It's okay to be frustrated, dear. Not everyone has the gift." The bug-eyed professor turned to Remus' cup, "Ah, the wolf! I see jealousy in your future. And here is the scythe, one of my favorites, it represents grief or pain. Not sure which! Now the snake is lies, deceit, secrets. Hmmm...dear me. Are you hiding something, Remus?"

Remus looked down at accusation, ashamed. That was the last straw for his wife.

Anna stood up angrily, "I think it's time for you to leave now Ms. Trelawney. Pun not intended." Sybill looked surprised, like she could not imagine why Anna would be upset about anything she had said. The woman huffed, grabbed her materials and stalked out of the room, leaving the red head seething.

She growled, "How dare she?!" Remus stood up and put his arms around her waist, setting his chin on her shoulder, "I doubt she knows my secret, Anna. And plenty of people know Sirius was our friend. She just made something up about friendship and betrayal. Just calm down. Today's supposed to be a good day. It's our first day of teaching."

She kissed his cheek, "You make a good point, Moony. I will not let some silly soothsayer ruin this day!" He patted her shoulder with a grin, "That's the spirit!"

And it really was something to be excited and anxious over. Their first period was going to be a group of first years and she couldn't wait. She could remember being in her first ever Hogwarts class and just being in awe.

She just wanted to be a good teacher. They hadn't had a DADA teacher at Hogwarts for years and they were there to change that.

*Time Skip*

The first years were nervous but excited for what was, not only their first class in magic, but also what is rumored to be the best class. They had heard rumors about the not-quite-famous Anna Lupin and her escapades as an auror among many things. They couldn't wait to see what the strange looking couple at the feast would teach them.

When they filed in, they saw the scruffy looking man writing on the chalk board "Professor Lupin and Professor Evans" in big neat letters. He nodded at them with a friendly smile as they found their seats. However, the other professor seemed to be no where in sight. This disappointed them tremendously, but they supposed it didn't matter.

They were more intrigued with the fox sitting at attention on the teacher's desk. Perhaps it would be part of the lesson?

When the bell rang, Remus turned 'round to them with a big smile, "Hello! Welcome to Defense Against the Dark Arts or just DADA if you want. I'm Remus Lupin, you can call me Professor Lupin and this is my lovely wife, Anna Lupin, you may call her Professor Evans-"

One of the students, a grey-eyed girl, interrupted shyly, "Professor Lupin...where is Professor Evans?" He smiled and pointed at her, "That's good! You're asking all the right questions! Four points to Slytherin! Anna's in this very room! Can you find her?" Each student looked around curiously but one particularly clever Gryffindor boy quickly made the connection, "Is she the fox?" Remus looked him over calculating but not cold, "You, what's you're name?" He cleared his throat, trying to keep the nervousness out of his voice, "James, sir." Remus faltered for a second at the name of his deceased best friend but luckily he was saved by Anna's friendly voice as she appeared behind her husband, "James, that's a good name." The class hadn't even noticed the fox had left the desk. They hadn't even seen her turn human.

James smiled, feeling welcomed and more relaxed under her kind smile, "Thanks." Anna grinned, "Four points to Gryffindor." He grinned proudly and his friend patted him in the back. The ginger professor clapped her hands together, "Now, in this class is where you will learn one of the most important uses of your magic. Defense. What you learn here could mean the difference between life and death in your future. Even if you don't plan on becoming an auror, this class is crucial. It's fun too, so you should have no problem paying attention."

The day went on similarly. All of the other students seemed thrilled just to have a competent DADA teacher for once. She sighed at that. It really was quite tough trying to teach students not knowing what they had already been taught or how they had been taught. She was pretty sure Lockhart had completely stunted their learning. In fact, they probably knew less after having to listen to his stupidity all year.

She had made sure not mention Gilderoy to Remus ever again in their conversations. He had, unfortunately been told about the love potion incident. Her wolf was as possessive and protective as he was sweet and intelligent. Every time that ignorant phony professor was mentioned she could here a low growl rumble in his chest and feel him get ever so much closer. She could feel his very aspect shift. He was like a scale: one half wolf and one half man. When it wasn't a full moon his human side was stronger and allowed him to look and think like a man, but when he felt particularly emotional (angry, happy, sad), that could sometimes tip the scale the littlest bit, causing some of his more wolves instincts to seep through. Nothing serious, just little changes. Sometimes he had sharper senses (though he could sometimes do this on purpose) or he would feel instincts that made him a little more...protective and aggressive (not really physically though) to an opposing threat.

Honestly? She thought it just made him seem that much more attractive, but that could just be her.

Of course, Lockhart hadn't been the only man who had given her unwanted attention. Nowadays, when they went out, her husband stayed so close to her side that they were practically joined at the hip whenever they went somewhere. A part of her also felt bad. He was so insecure. He was so worried someone would swoop in and steak her away.

But he wasn't the only one who would fight for his mate.

Women had, of course, made advances on her Moony. It always surprised him when it happened and it made him immensely uncomfortable. He once climbed out a bathroom window when a muggle waitress had continuously made advances on him, not caring about his marital status. He had just been picking up he and Anna's togo order! Anna had went back and "talked" to the woman. He'd later told her that she looked good in green.

*Time Skip*

After classes Anna went to the Gryffindor common room to talk to Harry and his friends about their first day of classes. When the fat lady let her through, she frowned. Most of the Gryffindor's in Harry's year looked bummed. She plopped down on the couch beside an unsuspecting Harry. He jumped before sighing in relief, "Oh, hey Anna." She patted his back, "What's wrong kiddo?" He looked at his hands that were flooded in his lap, "It's stupid." The professor shook her head and ran her fingers through his hair soothingly, "It's not stupid if it troubles you this much Harry." He sighed, "First, I fainted from a stupid dementor. Then, I got the grim in Divinations-"

She cut him off, "Wait, she gave you the grim?!" He nodded slowly, "...yeah." She scowled, "The nerve of that woman! She was probably just ticked off because I made her leave after her outrageous predictions she gave me and Remus this morning!" Harry shrugged and continued, "And Malfoy disobeyed Hagrid and got himself a minor injury. Now, Hagrid could be fired and Buckbeak could be put down!" Anna gasped, "Buckbeak?! They can't do that!" He shook his head, "That's for the ministry to decide." She narrowed her eyes, "Fudge and Malfoy will no doubt vote against Hagrid no matter what he says, and their followers will do the same."

Hermione spoke up from the chair from across from them, looking sad, "But who will be our teacher in his place." She smiled at her reassuringly, "I'm sure Albus will find someone, dear." She sighed, "I'll have to see Hagrid later, maybe tomorrow. I'm going to have a shift to patrol the outskirts of school later this week too." Ron spoke up, "Why? Is there something we need protecting from, Professor?" She stood up, "Something's coming, Ronald. There's danger on the horizon. I can feel it. I'll not sit around and wait for it to happen." She said a quick goodbye before heading up to her room. Ron raised an eyebrow at his best friend, "Ever notice she can be a bit paranoid?"

AN: Sorry for the wait! I had so much homework! I hope you guys didn't hate the beginning! I had a lot of trouble coming up with a good starter.

I'm always happy to hear your thoughts about the chapter! Was it good?! Anything you'd like to see in the future? Any ideas for lessons that Anna and Remus could teach?
