Ultron and the other avengers waited in the infirmary for Toni to awaken.

Hours turned to days, days to weeks, and weeks to months.

She was on life support. In a coma unable to awaken due to complications in the O.R.

The bullet traveled further upward than anticipated. The bullet and it's fragments proceeded dangerously close to her heart. That resulted in Tony installing an arc reactor in her chest.

The blood loss was so extreme that she flat lined twice. A respirator in place as she lay motionless on the table.

Everyone had left and was seemingly trying to move on. Everyone but Ultron.

He had never left her side, not even for a minute.

Here he sat caressing her cheek while rubbing his thumb against her cold hand.

The doctor put in charge of her care stepped in and asked to speak with him in the hallway.

"Ultron, sir, forgive me for saying this, but it's been three months since Ms. Stark has slipped into a coma" the doctor said nervously.

"Yes, I am well aware of that. What are you getting at?"

"My colleagues and I feel it would be best if we disconnect her from the life support. In other words, let her go"

This made Ultron's nonexistent blood boil.

"How dare you suggest such a ludicrous idea. If you so much as touch the power supply keeping her online, I'll-"

The conversation was cut off by the sound of the heartrate monitor's alarm going off.

In a flash Ultron was back in the room witnessing as the young female was wide-eyed and clawing at the tube going down her throat.

He put his hand over hers and softly spoke.

"Toni, my love, calm down and I will remove the respirator" within a moment she had calmed enough for Ultron to assist.

Slowly she sat up and in a scratchy voice asked-

"What happened, where am I?"

"Sweetheart, we're in an infirmary, about three blocks from the tower"

"Where's Uncle Tony and the others?"

"Back at the tower. I'll give Tony a call and let him know that you're awake"

After some time following the call, the gang arrived in her room. The doctor discharged her.

Toni slowly and easily stood up to get dressed in the clothes Pepper had brought.

She had slipped on her leggings and as soon as the hospital gown fell to the floor, she was hit with a sense of terror. Her chest was covered by the gauze but it still exposed the arc.

there in her chest was a star shaped reactor that lit up a brilliant gold.

"TONY!!!" she screamed.

"What is it-oh....uuummm" he looked at her unsure how to explain why the arc was there.

"What h-happened? w-why? I-I don't understand"

"Toni, the bullet you took, the fragments embedded themselves too close to your heart and was inching closer. It was a literal life or death situation. I either installed it, or watched you die. I've lost too many people that I cared about and I'll be damned if I lose you too"

Toni accepted that she now had to live with the reactor. Tony accepted that his niece was in love with Ultron.

Tonya had graduated school and now worked with her uncle aside from the avengers business. She happily lived with Ultron in a nice place that Tony had build for them.

Finally all things were right. Ultron proposed to his most cherished femme and was married shortly after (Fury officiated).
