Chapter 10
( Ten chapters- woah-
also this is kind of bad and rushed-

"There's a lot of weird noises in here.." Poppy shivered and looked around, confused on what they've been hearing.
They'd been out there for two days, to stressed to think common sense. They tried clearing their minds to figure out where the bOyS could possibly be.
"Yeah, but we should ignore them." Guy said, just as confused and scared as she was.
"What if it's Branch and Biggie? What if they're in danger?" Poppy froze and began to tear up a little at the thought of something eating them.
Creek patted her back with his dIrTy purple hands. "Don't worry! Branch is an expert survivalist, with him out there along with Biggie they're very likely to survive."
"But what if he-"
"Shhhh..." Creek and Archer calmed her down before she panicked more than she already was.
Guy looked around, tapping his glittery chin. "I remember Branch saying we were going north to Misty Meadows, so that means if we find our way there finding both of them will be a piece of s'more."
"S'more? That's specific." Archer did that classic 'BAHAHAHAHAH' laugh.
"We ate s'mores our first night. Branch made his first s'more- horribly and we had to teach him how to make them. Biggie took a picture of it." Guy searched through his hair, remembering that Biggie handed him the picture right after he took it.
"Aha!" He took the picture out and showed it to them.
Poppy admired it- or rather him. "He looks so cute! Did you guys have fun besides them getting lost?"
"Can we keep moving, mAtes?" Creek started to walk away from them.
"We had a lot of fun." Guy sighed at the memories.
"Baiiii-" Creek continued.
Archer walked with Creek, wondering too if they were going to notice.
"Maybe once we find them again we can go on another trip!" Guy grinned, already hYpEd.
Poppy blankly stared at him, then silently prayed for no more storms so if they left she would have to look for them again.
Guy's grin faded as he noticed something. "Where did Creek and Archer go?"
Poppy looked around. "Creek? Archer?"
"I think they felt excluded from our thirty second long conversation for plot purposes." Guy stroked his chin and started walking around, wondering if he could figure out where they wandered off too.
"HmmmMm.." Poppy wondered what could get them back over to them.
She tried singing like a princess calling animals- though failed, because Branch is the true princess of this forest, they ain't gonna listen to Poppy.
A squirrel threw it's nut at her and stuck it's tongue out.
Poppy tried throwing glitter in the sky- failed and only ended up with glitter in Dinkle's eye because he's here too I forgot to mention.
"meOW!" Dinkles cried the glitter out.
( A/N - I watched the trailer a million times- I can't b r e a t h e )
"Sorry.." Poppy hugged the worm and spun around, hoping to catch a glimpse of one of them.
"How could they disappear so fast?" Guy sniffed the air and walked in the direction he could sense something.
"What are you doing?"
"Branch taught us a little bit on how to track someone in case we separated."
Poppy gasped. "GUY! WE COULD USE THAT TO FIND THE bOyS AND THE BoYs!"
"oooOoohhHhhh- WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS BEFORE?!" Guy face palmed although of course the real reason is plot purposes because I'm rushing this story a bit.
Poppy ran where Guy led, both squealing in excitement, knowing they might actually find the bOyS within the next hour.
They found themselves by a lake, where Creek and Archer were staring at the ground, completely still.
"ARCHER! CREEK! DON'T RUN OFF AGAIN!" Poppy shouted and jumped on them into a hug.
The two shushed her, then pointed by the water, where two cats were sleeping peacefully.
"Oop- sorry." Poppy zipped her lips and mimed putting it in her pocket, locking it, and throwing away they key.
Creek covered the ground, and quietly explained why they left before revealing what was there. "When you mentioned all the noises we've been hearing I thought investigating where the sound came from would be a smart thing to do. Of course you were too busy to listen to me so I dragged Archer off to find it ourselves. We looked over here and found.." Creek bit his lip and showed her the ground. It was stained with dry blood.
Poppy gasped, horrified by the sight. "M-Maybe it's a defenseless critter's? Not the bOyS'?"
Guy sniffed the dry puddle and looked down, "Branch and Biggie were here."
Creek stared at the sleeping cat's. "They must've been attacked."
Poppy dropped to the ground and felt like crying again. "They could've been eaten.."
Archer shook his head. "Nah, kitty critters don't eat trolls. They just play with them until they get bored. Maybe they're severely injured, but death isn't likely. Besides, do you see any dead bodies around here?"
"No, but-"
Creek put his finger over her lip and held her hands. "Relax."
( *vomiting sounds*)
He led her through some meditation to calm her down.
Poppy took a deep breath. "Sorry, Biggie is one of my best friends, and I love Branch with all of my heart."
Creek rolled his eyes at the last bit. "I don't get what you see in him."
"Creek," Poppy narrowed her eyes at him, "Branch is in serious danger, now is not the time to say these things about him. You'll regret them later."
"I know he is, but I know I won't regret anything." Creek smugly grinned and walked ahead.
"Stop worrying, Branch and Biggie can handle themselves." Guy assured and followed after Creek.
Poppy smiled. "You're right, then can handle this!"
-
"I CAN'T HANDLE THIS! I CAN'T HANDLE THIS!" Biggie cried, backing into a tree, hiding his wound with his hand.
Queen Rose was trying to reach him, holding a damp leaf in her hand. "COME HERE YOU!"
Branch sat back and watched, mildly entertained. "Biggie, she just needs to clean your wound to prevent infection."
"But that's going to hurt!" Biggie dodged Rose's attempts to reach him.
"It'll hurt more if it becomes infected." Acorn added as he checked Branch's arm. "Where does it hurt?" He poked different spots on the arm.
Branch pushed his hand away and winced from the pain, "Kind of everywhere, but definitely on my humerus the most."
Acorn looked at the area above his elbow (that's where humerus is-) and could see the swelling. "I can't confirm without an x-ray, but that's where the break must be."
Rose climbed on top of Biggie and successfully put the leaf on the wound. "Now chill big dude."
Biggie sighed, relaxed by the cooling more than in pain.
Acorn adjusted Branch's arm to ninety degree angle and wrapped it up with a large leaf, while using a twig as a splint. "This will do for now."
Branch looked at the temporary cast, already annoyed with it. "Thanks.."
"Just be careful, you don't want it falling off." Acorn warned, then went to help Rose with Biggie.
They wrapped a leaf around his wound and pressed their hands against it.
A purple troll fell out of a tree right in front of Branch, "Oh, hi-"
Branch jumped from the sudden entrance and was about to punch them, but arm pain reminded him he couldn't fight. "What if I need to fight?"
Acorn helped her up and smiled at her, "Hi honey- and you can't fight. Neither of you can."
"Who are these two?" Verdana (his honey bunny :)) asked, before staring at a tree weirdly.
"Branch and Biggie. They got lost during the storm." Rose introduced them.
"Can we keep them?" A pink troll dropped from the same tree.
"No, Mandy," Rose shook her head, "We're taking them back to Troll Village when we figure out how to get there."
"Troll Village?" Mandy sounded nervous at that mention. "Are they still mad I left?"
"Nope! Actually, no one really talks about you at all!" Biggie started, just being honest.
"Good!" Mandy grinned and shook his hand aggressively. "I'm Mandy, that's short for Mandevilla, former queen."
"I'm Biggie!" Biggie excitedly shook it back. "I'm honored to be in your presence."
Mandy gasped and smiled at him, no one has ever enjoyed being around her besides Verdana, Acorn, and Rose.
Acorn held his wife's hand and started walking towards a glowing light in the distance, "Come on, let's head back to our cozy home."
"You have a house?" Branch followed behind the couple, staring at their hands, thinking about Poppy again.
"More like a grove." Verdana pushed some leaves aside, revealing one of the most beautiful sights anyone will ever see in their life.
Even with the light damage from the storm, it still looked like an enchanted forest. There were bright flowers hanging from trees, leaves piled on top of each other to create beds, and a small area of soot from a fire.
"Wow, this is beautiful!" Biggie stared in awe, nearly shedding some tears.
Branch looked around, his jaw hanging open. "How is this still standing after the storm?"
Verdana smirked, "My excellent building skills."
Biggie curiously investigated every detail of the area. "I'm not going back to the village. I'll live here forever!"
Picture something like: I got this off Google- if the creator wishes for it removed- I'll do so-
"You'd rather live here than return to the village? Where Mr. Dinkles is? Where your friends are? Where your love is? Where your children are? The place you call your home?" Branch sat on one of the leaf piles and sighed.
They all stared at him.
"That was deep." Rose patted him on the back.
"And dark." Mandy put her hand on his shoulder.
Biggie sat down next to him, "Branch, are you okay?"
Branch pushed the girls off of him and hugged Biggie with a single arm, "No, I'm not okay, at all. I'm beginning to doubt we'll get home, and if we do.. I don't know if they survived.. I'm just scared.." The storm really got to him. He's never been so nervous.
"You've been so brave this entire time, though. You had the confidence to keep us close to the storm for that long. You knew exactly when we needed to run. You had us split up. You knew we needed to go in the ditch-"
"Technically that was you-" Branch corrected.
Biggie shushed him and continued, "You showed us how to stay safe in the ditch, you saved our lives, and you wanted to keep us safe from that cat! You've been such a brave leader this entire time! Don't be scared now, the scary part is over!"
"That was really moving." Acorn blew his nose with a leaf.
"Wow, Biggie- that was really inspiring. I needed that, thank you." Branch leaned against Biggie, still hugging his arm.
"You two must be really good friends." Verdana found the scene adorable.
Biggie nodded, "We are!"
Branch looked up at him, "Really?"
"Of course! You're my best friend- besides Mr. Dinkles."
Branch smiled and sighed, now feeling more relaxed. "Thanks, for everything."
Rose, Mandy, and Verdana were wiping tears from their eyes. "How heartwarming.."
"How do you plan we're going to get them back to their village? We have no idea where the village is now." Acorn whispered in their ears.
"We'll figure it out." Verdana whispered back, kissing his cheek to shut him up.
The four exchanged nervous glances. They wanted to promise that they'd get the bOyS homes, but were they really sure they could keep that?
