Chapter 5

A look of awe was plastered on the faces of the entirety of 1-A, including me.

We had arrived in a large clearing, surrounded by looming trees covered in thick green foliage. Set back from the clearing were two buildings. One was long and flat, the other was thin and tall. They were made of deep brown logs and gave off a cozy, rustic vibe.

"That one is where all you cool kids will be sleeping." Mic ran in front of us and pointed to the tall building. "This one here has the kitchen and a big hall where you guys can eat and hang out." Who was more excited for this trip, us or my dad?

"Here is the list of rooms and who will be in them. Me, Present Mic, and All Might are going to our place now. We'll come back once we've settled down to see how you all are. And you might want to think about lunch." Aizawa stepped out of his sleeping bag and started walking away from the clearing. A part of me wanted to call out about his raggedy state, but I thought against it.

Tenya and Yaomomo were looking over the list, humming and nodding about the rooms.

"Some rooms have three people in them, some have two." Yaomomo informed us.

"On floor one we have Sero and Kaminari, Todoroki and Midoriya, and Tsu and Ochaco," Tenya read as Yaomomo handed everyone their keys. "Floor two is Aoyama, Sato and Mineta as well as Yaoyorozu and Jirou. Floor three has Tokoyami, Shoji and Koda, as well as Ojiro and Kirishima with myself. Finally, on floor four you will find Hinami and Mina, and... Bakugo. You're alone."

"Good." The blonde snarled. I peered around Tenya's arm to see the plans for the building. Some rooms were medium, some were large, and one was very small. Next to the small room, Katsu's room, there was a big empty space that was blacked out. It was probably for the boiler, fuse box, storage space... Stuff like that.

"What an odd layout..." Mido muttered, having the same idea as me.

As we all hauled things up to our rooms, Mina and Yaomomo went to the kitchens to prepare a big lunch for us all. I put Mina's suitcase on one bed, then put mine on the other.

Our room was a decent size, the wooden floor had a large rug in the middle, the identical beds were also made of wood, and had thick spongy mattresses with burnt orange covers on them. We had a window, but the view was mostly blocked by leaves. There were also two sets of drawers for us to put our things in. I put a few sets of clothes away before deciding that it was too much effort.

Already bored, I decided to go see how the others were.

Knock knock knock.

"What the fuck do you want?"

"Katsu-kun? Can I come in?"

"Why should I let you in, shit head?" That wasn't a no, I thought, shrugging as I opened the door. He was on the floor, his trunk open and a few clothes on the floor.

"Did I say you could come in?"

"You didn't say I couldn't." As I looked around his room, I sat down on his bed. It was almost identical to my room. When I sat, Katsu stood up, explosions popping from his hands as they usually did.

"Don't sit on my bed!" I kicked off my shoes and swung my legs so that I was laying on my side, propping my head up with my hand. A cheeky grin crept onto my face as Katsu looked like he was about to pop a vein. He stormed over and towered over me.

"Why are you even here?"

"I wanted to check up on my favourite little gremlin." I giggled.

"Do you not have shit to do? Don't tell me you've already sorted out all of your stuff already." I nodded, even though I had put about two tops in my drawer and put my toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom. Shaking his head angrily, he picked up a pile of tops and bent over to put them in the bottom drawer.

No, I did NOT look at his butt!

For long...

"Did you just look at my ass?"

"Do you squat? You look like you squat. I bet you squat."

"Say squat one more time!" He dared, holding his exploding hand near my cheek. For some reason, his actions didn't scare me. Maybe I was just used to his violent nature already.

"Squ-"

"I hate you! Why are you so insistent on being near me?"

"Do you want the truth, or should I make up something that won't make you angry?" When he stormed away from me without answering, I mused for a second before saying.

"I like being around you."

"You what? That's a shit lie."

"It wasn't a lie. I do. I think you're funny when you get angry."

"You do?" His voice was quiet and his brows were furrowed in confusion.

"And... I don't know. You're just intriguing."

"I am?"

"Yeah. Like, you're always so loud and angry. But occasionally, just occasionally, you let that slip a little. Like on the bus this morning, and you're doing it now."

"No I'm not!" He yelled, curling his hands into fists. Why did I have to say that? Now he was going to put up extra walls around me, and I'd get no chance to get to know him better. I should have just stayed quiet.

"Do you really think that?" He added, only slightly calmer.

"Yes. Of course I do. Why would I say it otherwise?" There were a few moments of silence.

"Nobody's ever said that before..."

"Guys! Lunch is ready!" Mina yelled up the hall. I jumped up and walked out of the room. Katsu followed quietly.

I sat down next to Todo and Ochaco.

"The rooms are super cute!" She said through a mouthful of rice.

"Yeah. How are your roommates?"

"I haven't spoken to Tsu much in the past, but she seems super nice!"

"My roommate is very talkative..." Todo was watching Mido, Katsu and Kiri walk along with each other. It seemed as though Mido was talking at a hundred miles an hour. Katsu slammed his bowl down opposite me and, much to his frustrations, Mido and Kiri sat on either side of him. Ochaco and I giggled.

"Shut it up." He sighed.

"Midoriya."
"Y-yes Todoroki?"

"Pass me the sauce please." Mido picked up the bottle of sauce next to him and handed it over the table, blushing furiously. I turned to face Ochaco and raised my eyebrows. She simply nodded gravely.

But Todo's trick worked, and Mido stopped talking.

As we were finishing off lunch, Uncle Toshi burst in, followed by my dads.

"We are here!"

"Hey hey hey!"

"Listen up class. The rest of the day can be used to relax, prepare for training tomorrow, and explore the surrounding area. Do not stray too far from these buildings. Does anyone have questions or concerns? No? Good. I expect you to be up early tomorrow. I want a class jog for an hour before you start training." There were several groans around the room. Aizawa started walking out. Mic waved at me.

"Hinami. I need to talk to you for a moment."

"Great." I mumbled under my breath. "What have I done now."

We stood outside the hall, where we couldn't be overheard.

"Is everything okay so far, sweetie?"

"Yes. What did you need?"

"I just thought I'd ask you if you told anyone about that League of Villains stuff?"

"No, I haven't. I didn't think you'd want me to."

"No. Good girl. I didn't think you'd go telling everyone anyway. But you know how paranoid your father can get..." He reached out and ruffled my hair affectionately.

"Yeah, I know. Was that all? Ok. Talk to you later, Dad." He smiled.

"I miss hearing you call me that. It's strange to hear you say Mic and Aizawa in front of your class."

"It's hard not to slip up." I laughed. "Love you Dad."

"Love you too, sweetie." I reached up and kissed his cheek quickly before walking back to the hall to finish clearing up.
