Saying goodbye hurt too much. I felt like I was choking on my own sorrow. Even though I knew walking away was keeping him safe. I stumbled trying to keep going. I tried my best to hide it and not feel this way, but it was clear, My world crumbling and I'll never seen him again. So I kept on running to what seems like forever, away from everything without any direction.

I blacked out. I'm not sure when by I blacked out. The next think I knew I woke up in a dazed not sure of my surroundings 
When I came to I realized I was in a hospital bed. I started to freak out.
An elderly guy and two nurses rushed in

"It's okay you're in the hospital now." One of The nurse said trying to calm me down.

"Is she going to be okay?" I heard the elderly guy ask the nurses. He had a thick accent.

"Yes Mr. Vivian." I swear I heard her say. I was probably mishearing thing But strangely enough I was calming down

"Ms. what is your name so we can contact your family."

"Call my Avô."

"That means grandmother."

"Thank you sir but we'll need you to step out for a moment. We got this under control." He left and I told the nurses my grandmothers contact info before I went back to sleep.

I was awake but I couldn't pen my eyes. That's when I heard my grandmas voice.

"Julia? what are you all doing here."

"I'm here to see my granddaughter."

"Sometime happened to Ella?" He asked sounded panicked.

"Oh Rafael. I've been wanting to tell you this but I didn't  know how to.

" It's Angel we found her."

"What are you sure? Where is she?"

"Rafael please sit down."

"Did something happen to her is she sick? Is she in the hospital?"

"Rafael...."

"Mom we hear you found Azi is she okay?"

"Vovô?"

"Ella? I thought Julia said you were hurt in the hospital."

"Rafael she's the not granddaughter I was talking about."

"What are you talking. About we only have one granddaughter."

"No Rafael we don't Aziza is our granddaughter as well she's Angels daughter."

"Ohh you're telling him about Aziza we'll just leave you two alone."

"She's Angel's daughter."

"She's Angel's daughter and we didn't find her she found out it was fate. After she had met Daniel Morton she met Leonardo and she started to connect she dots. She showed him a picture of her mom taken during her wedding day and asked him if he knew her."

"Why a picture? where is Angel does she not want to see us?"

"Rafael... Angel died seventeen years ago..."

"Died?...How?"

"From what Aziza tells us she went to sleep one day and never woke up again."

"It's all my fault if only I hadn't pushed her away..."

"Rafael you shouldn't speak like that."

"And non of you thought I should have known about this too?"

"She's my Daughter too. And you kept that from me,"

"Rafael calm down Aziza needs us now."

I hadn't meant to overhear any of that but if I'd opened my eyes now the situation would have gotten more intense. My grandmother consoled him and had told him I was in danger and everything about the stalker and that I was married. When they were done speaking is when I had opened my eyes. They both rushed to my side at that moment.

"You're okay. You're safe now ." My grandmother said holding my hand and kissing it as the rest of the family rushed in. I use my other hand to touch my mother's locket but  had realized I had lost it. That was the breaking point I was in such an emotional mess. I felt useless all I was doing was crying and I hated that no matter how hard I tried I couldn't stop myself from crying. That locket was the only tangible connection I had to my mom and now I lost it.

"The stalker was caught last night." I heard Alex voice say trying to sooth me

"She was caught?" I asked through my sobs as I hugged myself

"Yes, she made a mislead for coming to the ball. The Artois caught her before she could escape." Alex smiled at me I couldn't help smile in in my tear face mess back in relief that it was finally over through 

"I want to go see me dad." I told them when I calmed down.

"Yes, that's a very good idea. I'm sure your father misses you dearly." Avo agreed.

Once we got out of the hospital we drove back to the place I once called home. I knocked the door with the rest of my family behind Baheera answered I didn't waste a second to hug her.

"Didi you're back." She squeaked hugging me tighter than I was hugging her.

"God I miss you." I said laughing in joy.

"I missed you too come on come on in, Baba! Aziza is here!" She shout the last part.

"Aziza!" Baheeja came crushing at me, I almost went tumbling down. But luckily Alex was right behind me so I ended catching my fall.

"Baba!" I greeted him enthusiastically kissing both his cheeks and hugging him
"Salaam alykum beta." He smiled wildly greeting me as well kissing both my cheeks

"Wa alykum Salam Baba I missed you so much."

"Me too beta."

"Potii you're no going to Salam me?" Daadi playfully scolded.

"Daadi you know I missed you to." I told her as I hugged her to. I looked around wondering whereDaada and Ami were."

"Ami went grocery shopping and Daada went to Chacha's place yesterday." Baheeja answered noticing I was looking around.

"Oh... Avo, Alex Leonardo, Emilio, Gabby, Aline, Emilio Rafael come on in."I gesture for them finally noticed that they were still standing behind me and I introduce them to Baba Daadi and my sisters. When I introduced Rafael as my grandfather Avo my cousins and uncles were surprised.

I was glad that my cousins and sisters got along we went in the room to let my uncles grandparents and dad talk they looked like they needed it.
My sister were practically fawning over my cousin we talked and chatted for a while but I couldn't get my mind off Daniel. Now that she was caught was it safe to be with him again? I thought. That is when I remembered I had promised his mother that I wouldn't see Daniel again a and I had already broken that promise.

"It's going to be okay." Aline assured me as though he was reading my mind. In that moment Baheeja's phone rang she picked it up.

"Hello?...Daniel! How have you been?" Oh my Allah Daniel called her

"Give me the phone." I demanded anxiously immediately snatching the phone from her "Hello. Daniel?" I said desperately
"Where are you?" He asked more like demanded after a long stretch or silence
"I'm at my dads place." I quickly answered him.

"I'm downstairs in front of your dad's apartment meet me." Was all he said before he hung up. I got up with out hesitation and practically ran out downstairs. When I saw his face it was like everything had stopped and all I could hear was my heart bounding through my ears I felt like I was hypnotized, I ran up to him and kissed him the warmth of his mouth sent currents running through my body. I threw my arms around His neck deepening the kiss. I lost myself in his scent as I caressed his soft lips with mine. We were both breathless when we broke apart and all I could do at that moment was look at his dazzling blues eyes

"Ziza we need to talk." He said stepping back to create space between us breaking eye contact. "I should have known you'd be here all along and here I was feeling too guilty to see your family because I thought you were dead." He started to say in a bitter tone.

"I understand Daniel it's..."

"No you don't understand. I blamed myself for your death. You don't get it I mourned your death."

"Daniel it was just a misunderstanding."

"A misunderstanding? If it was a misunderstanding why did you leave me?" He demanded to know with a grievous expression on his face.

"Daniel I couldn't... I mean I didn't..."

"I thought you were different. The fact that I loved you didn't even matter to you because when I needed you the most you disappeared on me twice."

"No Daniel that's not the case, please listen to me..." I started to say but stopped myself because I didn't know how to explain it all.

"Where have you been when I needed you the most? I thought you were dead...You let me believe you were dead. Was it all a game to you? Look into my eyes and tell me if everything between us was just a game to you." He asked with his voice full of sorrow

"Daniel it was never a game. I love you." I sobbed out trying to make him understand as my heart hurt for his pain tears started running down my face.

"Azi are you okay?" Aline's alarmed voiced as he saw me crying.

"So that's why you left me."

"Don't talk to my cousin like."

"Your cousin?"

"Yes our cousin. And if you think for a moment anyone will get away with hurting one of us you're dead wrong rapaz."

"Aline stop it!"

"No Azi he can't just come here and patronize you for something that's way out of your control not to mention what his family has done to you. I don't care who he thinks he is he has no right to after the emotional trauma he's putting you through."

"What are you talking about." Daniel urged him to continue

"Aline I'm serious I need to do this alone please." I semi pleaded/ordered him he finally got the point and left us alone.

"Aziza what is he talking about?" He wanted to know so I told him everything. About he stalker everything.

"That is what you thought of me, that I was too useless to be with you when you needed me most. That my love was so weak that it would change because of something beyond your control? I would have given all this up for you if need be."

"Daniel, I loved you too much to ask that of you."

"You would never have had to ask. Was it because I was too incompetent to protect you? Is that why you left me and never told me why?"

"No that's not it you're too important to me to risk it all."

"And you never thought you're as important to me as I am to you?"

"Daniel I was trying to keep us Both safe." I told him as I hugged him pressing my cheek to his chest

"You know I've missed you so much No matter what I did all I could think about was you. I thought I'm was going crazy over you."

"I thought I'm going crazy over you too. Daniel can't we just put everything else aside and be together, I don't want to imagine a life without you anymore."

"Next time promise me this that you'll never try to shoulder the burden all on your own."

"I promise. I love you Daniel."

"I love you too Ziza. And I will always love you. You'll always be my gift from Allah."

"And you'll always be mine"
