Chapter 1: Alone
{Lucy's P.O.V}
My heart crashed to the ground as I listened to my Dad's demand.
"I'm sending you away to a prestigious academy."
"W-What..." I said, finally finding my words.
"I said I'm sending you away. You're such a nuisance. Always reminding me of your no-good mother." He said.
"Dad! No! Please, don't!" I begged, getting on my knees.
"My decision is final. Do not question me, young lady. Now go to your room. You leave first thing in the morning."
He glared at me like I was just...just scum that he found on the bottom of his shoe. Then he left, not even caring that I was crying at his feet.He slammed the door and I heard a wail slip out of my throat.
I don't want to leave here. Here is where Mom is. Where all my memories were, no matter how upsetting they were.
"Lucy-Sama..." Loke.
My butler, Loke Stellar, came to me and lifted my chin.
"Don't cry, Lucy-Sama." He said and pulled me into a hug.
"Loke, I don't want to go." I sobbed into his shoulder.
"You'll be fine." He assured me. "Come on, let's go pack your things ok?"
"Ok..." I hiccuped.
He picked me up and we walked to my unnecessarily huge room. He placed me on my bed and opened my walk-in closet.
"Would you like me to pack your dresses, Lucy-Sama?" He asked.
"Sure...I don't care." I muttered, lying down on my bed.
He sighed and sat down next to me. "Lucy-Sama, get some rest. I'll pack your things. I promise you'll be fine."
"How do you know? You won't be with me." I said.
He flipped something into my lap. "Take this. Press it and I'll be there." He said.
The object was a small, shiny, gold key engraved with the astrology sign belonging to Leo. It was hanging on a keychain and I looked at him, confused. He handed me a small brown pouch and I looked inside to see eleven other gold keys with the astrology signs.
"Aquarius? Gemini? Are these for my other hand maids and butlers?" I asked as I thought of my sassy, hydrophilic maid, Aquarius, and my twin butler and maid, Gemi and Mini.
"Yes. Your mother made them in case you were ever in trouble and needed us." He explained.
At the mention of my mother, I wanted to cry again. I laid down and felt sleep take me.
When I awoke the next morning, Loke was gone. I was alone. Again.
Hope you enjoyed the first chapter of my new story, The Other One. This chapter is a bit short but whatever. Yolo...remind me to never say that again...
