When Kaneki woke up at the hospital, he noticed he was staying beside this short haired
Brunette, with the stereotypical thick nerd glasses. The Guy next to him couldn't of been more than 5'3 and he was probably 15 or 16 years of age.
When the Teenager woke up Kaneki softly spoke to him, "Hello there my name is Kaneki. Nice to meet you, what's your name?"
The Teenager shyly responded, "Hi... I'm Chandler..."
Kaneki was puzzled Chandler Didn't Sound very Japanese, " Your name is wonderful. Do you happen to be from somewhere else besides Japan?"
Chandler Shyly Spoke, " I'm from America... There wasn't any doctors there that could treat me so I was sent here to get a Heart transplant because Tokyo has great doctor's..."
Kaneki didn't realize that Tokyo actually had great doctors, he must of taken advantage of it without noticing that people around the world don't have as good doctors as Toyko."What's wrong with your heart?"
"It's not strong enough to pump enough blood... I heard they would give me a heart here that last me until I die... I should be getting my transplant Today. Some one who recently died in an accident... Her heart was found and it was intact."
Kaneki wondered who it was, and thought he had just had his transplant and he didn't know who it was who he got his organs from. He wanted his new friend Chandler's transplant to go along well. "Good luck, I hope everything goes according to plan."
Chandler smiled," Thanks... Kaneki was it?"
Kaneki smiles back," Yes actually, just put less emphasis on Kane it's Pronounced Kahn-i-Key."
"Kahn I key..., Kaneki alright I'll remember that so when I get done I'll try to stop by and thank you for making me feel comfortable... Your the first person to be nice to me..."
"Well don't mention it, I'm sorry to hear that... We'll become great friends after you get done with your surgery I'll even let you stay at my house when we get well enough to get out, so your Mom doesn't have to pay for a hotel room."
"Thanks I appreciate it, and actually my mom is making me stay in Japan so I can go to school here because she knows I'm to Smart for the schools back at home"
"Really, that's impressive" Kaneki said impressed
"Thanks it means alot"
The announcer over the intercom system Told the doctors to get ready that it was time for Chandler's Surgery.
