Chapter 15 (Edited)
"All my children"
The morning after the ball, Kol and I were sitting together on the living room as Rebekah was nowhere in sight.
Klaus was in the room with us with a sketchbook in his hand, seeming annoyed that we were ignoring him.
I laughed amused, gesturing at Niklaus with my eyes
Kol smirked, giving his brother an innocent smile
Klaus narrowed his eyes, "Very funny"
"We aren't doing anything, brother" Kol shrugged slightly, wrapping an arm around my shoulders. "We're just catching up"
I nodded with a smile.
Rebekah walked in, wearing the same dress she wore at the ball and her hair messy.
Kol and I stood up, smirking.
Kol walked closer to her with a smug smile, stopping in front of her "Well, well, well... There's our girl"
"Doing the shame walk" I smirked, standing next to Kol.
Rebekah tried to walk pass us but we blocked her way, smiling in amusement as she glared at us "Get out of my way, guys" Rebekah gritted through her teeth.
"Out all night" I faked a gasp of surprise
"What a scandal!" Kol smiled in mock surprise "I trust you did better than that commoner. Matt, was it?" Kol and I high fived.
Rebekah looked between us, annoyed "If you don't shut your mouth, the next thing to come out of it will be your teeth" she threatened.
Kol and I chuckled
Rebekah pushed Kol away
Klaus smiled, looking up
"Don't start, Nik" Rebekah warned him
"I didn't say anything" Klaus told her innocently,
I sat down in amusement.
Kol sat down next to me. "I'm bored" I nodded in agreement, looking at Klaus. "Our sister is a strumpet, but at least she's having fun. I need entertainment"
I gaped at him mockingly, "And what am I? Someone not worthy of entertain you? It hurts" I placed a hand in my heart, mocking hurt "I'm your favorite cousin"
"You're my only cousin, darlin'," Kol smirked rolling his eyes "But you're boring right now. Besides, you can't give me the fun I need" He wriggled his eyes.
I scrunched my nose in disgust "You're such a pig"
Kol shrugged, looking at Klaus, "So yes, I'm bored"
Klaus sighed, "What are you waiting for? Go on. Have at it"
"It's no fun to go alone" Kol told him, frowning, "Join me, Nik. It's the least you could do after sticking a dagger in my hearts"
Klaus rolled his eyes, standing up "Ok. Why not?" Kol smiled standing up. I crossed my arms, leaning back in the coach "I didn't have nearly enough to drink last night, what with you trying to murder Rebekah's date"
Kol looked at me, offering me his hand "What darling? Not coming?"
I looked between him and Klaus standing at the doorway "Nah. Go on and have fun with the backstabbing, bastard brother who put a dagger in your heart"
Kol chuckled, dropping his hand
Klaus sighed in annoyance, "I see you still hold a grudge against me, little cousin"
"Always" I smiled at him sweetly
Klaus rolled his eyes chuckling, walking away.
Kol followed him
"Please go" Rebekah shouted at them, "This house has enough men rolling around in it"
Kol peeked his head back into the room, smiling in amusement "Just like you, Bekah"
"Good riddance both of you!" Rebekah threw one of her shoes at him.
Kol laughed, walking away
I couldn't help but laugh as well
Rebekah glared at me, "Shut up" she growled making me raise my hands in mock surrender.
Elijah walked in, carrying a burned sage in his hand "Rebekah, Klarysse"
"Not you, too, Elijah" Rebekah rolled her eyes annoyed
I chuckled, amused "Oh, he's not like the others Bekah. He doesn't judge remember?" I looked at Elijah, "What is it?"
"I'm worried about mother" Elijah told us, "Have you not noticed her strange behavior?"
I stood up, my interest picked
"She's been dead for a thousand years what's strange for her?" Rebekah told him frowning,
"Burned sage" Elijah showed us the sage "She was doing a privacy spell"
"You know she fancies such things" Rebekah grabbed the sage "Why don't you ask Finn?" I rolled my eyes "He's been doting on her"
"I don't trust Finn" Elijah told her "He hates what we are"
"He always has" I crossed my arms
Rebekah nodded in agreement, "And as for mother, she returned for one reason, to make her family whole. She loves us" She frowned at her brother "What trouble are you looking to find?"
I hesitated with a frown. Maybe Elijah wasn't wrong. She had forgiven Klaus way to easy.
Was she genuine or was she up to something that needed Klaus to lower his guard down?

We had a plan to find out what my aunt was planning to do. And for that we needed the assistance of certain brothers
Rebekah was already doing her part and mine was to recruit them to work for us
I walked inside the Boarding House, sensing no one was home.
I smiled to myself, heading straight to the liquor table, pouring myself a glass and sititng down on the coach, putting my feet up on the table as I waited for either Stefan or Damon to arrive
It wasn't much time later when Damon walked inside.
My smile grew seeing him stop abruptly at my presence.
I wriggled my fingers in a greeting, sipping the drink I poured myself "You should invest in a better lock, you know? Uninvited guests can show up at any time if you don't"
"What are you doing here?" Damon glared at me.
I didn't answer, still smiling
Stefan walked in, "I can't find her anywhere" He also stopped at my presence
"Hello, Stefan" I greeted cheerfully
Damon didn't take his eyes away from me as he answered his brother, "She has Elena"
Stefan's eyes widened, looking at me
I rolled my eyes, pointing at them with the hand I was holding the glass "If we get technical, Rebekah has her actually" Damon and Stefan stiffened knowing being with my cousin was worse. "As you can imagine, my cousin's just dying to tear her throat out. So if you want to save Elena's life, I need you to help me and Elijah to stop my Aunt"
"I'm a little embarrassed to admit" Damon began sarcastically. I raised my eyebrows "But when it comes to killing thousand-year-old resurrected witches, I'm a little rusty"
I chuckled bitterly. "Yes, unfortunately even when killed, my aunt doesn't seem to want to stay dead" I picked at the edges of my nails "Not with the spirits of nature at her side"
Stefan sighed, taking a step forward "So what are we supposed to do?"
I stood up, "The witches that released my aunt, she's drawing her power from their bloodline" I informed them, pursing my lips not liking Elijah's idea "That line needs to be broken"
"Broken?" Stefan asked skeptically, I pursed my lips looking away
"Yeah, she means..."Damon trailed off, making a sign to show him we have to kill them
"You want us to kill them?" Stefan asked me incredulously
I sighed, shrugging "You know we could do it ourselves but we've absolutely no idea where they are" I informed them. "Besides, seeing any of us, they'd immediately know our intent. And trust me, I have no intentions to hurt witches, I've made that mistake a lot of times before" I added. Stefan raised a brow "And they won't expect to be harmed by the likes of you. In any case, you have until 6 minutes after 9:00 to find them"
"Oh, how super specific of you" Damon told me sarcastically. I ignored his sarcasm, narrowing my eyes starting to walk toward the door
"By 9:07, the moon'll be full. My aunt will have the power she needs to kill me and my family" I said stopping at the doorframe, glancing at them seriously "If you do not stop her before then, Rebekah will kill Elena. So we all have our timeline. I suggest you get started"
I smirked one more time before leaving them, knowing that they would do anything to save Elena

I was heading to the Grill, going to inform Klaus and Kol about their mother's extracurricular activities when I sensed someone coming
"Not in the mood, Gilbert" I said without stopping
Jeremy matched my pace, frowning "Nice to see you too, Klary" he said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes "Where's my sister?"
I let out a small sarcastic laugh, glancing at him "Did Stefan or Damon sent you to me to get information out of me?" Jeremy didn't answer, "I'm sorry, it's just amusing to think"
Jeremy sighed, "I told you your aunt was up to something"
"No. You just implanted doubt" I contradicted, shrugging "Technically nothing. I'm afraid it's not enough to get a deal with me" I said knowingly, half smiling "Don't misinterpret me not killing you yet as something else"
Jeremy stopped walking "I know exactly what she's up to" that made me stop. I knew she was working with the Bennett witches but I didn't know why. I glanced at him over my shoulder in amused curiousity "I tell you something in exchange of my sister's whereabouts"
"You have a death wish, don't you?" I rushed to him grabbing him by the throat making him gasp for air, "My patient has a limit Jeremy-" suddenly, I gasped feeling a strong stab in my chest as if someone had put a dagger in my heart but there was nothing, "What did you do?!" I gasped out, loosening my grip on his throat, stumbling on my feet.
Jeremy grabbed my arms, keeping me standing "Esther linked you all at the ball. She just need to kill one of you to kill all of you"
I could feel myself dying when realization hit me "Finn"
Jeremy nodded, desperately "Where's Elena?"
I smirked not answering before everything turned black, dying before answering
"Klary!" That's the last I heard before I touched the ground gently.

The next time I woke up, I was laying on a bench.
I breathed heavily in anger, standing up. I had felt the source of the dagger coming from Kol making me worried, rushing away toward the Grill.
Struggling caught my attention and I ran toward the back.
There was a fight between the Salvatore's and Klaus.
My glare intensified, pulling out my phone seeing the hour as Elijah arrived.
Klaus was about to kill Damon when Elijah intervened. "Leave him! We still need them Niklaus"
I glared at them as Klaus dropped Damon, turning to face us "What did mother do? What did she do, Elijah? Klarysse?"
I looked at the Salvatore's, angrily "You tell us where the witches are or I'll have my cousin kill Elena right now"
"You told me we had until after 9:00" Damon told me incredulously
I smirked bitterly, "That was before you tried to kill us. Besides I'm sure Rebekah'd be more more than happy to start her work early" I spotted something sharp at the floor, picking it up and with vamp speed I rushed toward Damon, stabbing him near his heart, "By the way, that's what it feels like being daggered" Damon groaned in pain, falling into a knee "Next one goes straight to your heart. Don't tempt me"

Esther, Finn and the witches were at the Abandoned witch house.
Nik, Elijah, Kol and I walked closer where we saw Aunt Esther inside an hexagram.
Finn was next to her
Aunt Esther looked up at us, "My sons, my niece, come forward"
"Stay beside me" Finn warned her
"It's ok" Esther reassured him, grabbing his hand and walking inside the hexagram "They can't enter"
"That's lovely" Kol began sarcastically "We are stuck out here while the favorite son plays sacrificial lamb"
"How pathetic you are, Finn" I narrowed my eyes at my cousin.
"Be quiet, Klarysse" Esther scolded me, I rolled my eyes. She turned to Kol, "Your brother knows virtue you cannot even imagine"
"Whatever you think of us" Elijah told her "Killing your own children and niece would be an atrocity"
"My only regret is that I did no let you die a thousand years ago" Esther told us
"Enough. All this talk is boring me. End this now, mother" Klaus threatened her, angrily "Or I'll send you back to hell"
"For a thousand years, I've been forced to watch you, felt the pain of every victim, suffered while you shed blood" Esther told us, regret in her features. She looked at me and Elijah, "Even you, Elijah, with your claim to nobility you're no better. Klarysse, even if you protect the innocents from rebel vampires, you still manage to pass that line of protector, that switch of humanity breaks and you become what you hunt" I looked at her expressionlessly but I knew she was right. Still that didn't give her the right to kill us, "All of you... You're a curse on this earth stretched out over generations. If you've come to plead for your life... I'm sorry. You've wasted your time"

Aunt Esther was still inside the hexagram, a look of concentration in her face when she suddenly began to panic, "No, sisters! Do not abandon me!"
The flames around her grew stronger. Finn grabbed his mother before she could get hurt
The light intensified making us shield our eyes. Once the fire was gone, neither Finn or his mother were there.

Knowing I had to keep up my word like they did, I called Rebekah telling her to let go Elena.
Rebekah did so reluctantly, telling me she'll meet me at Klaus' home.
Elijah and I walked inside the house, each in deep thought.
I headed directly toward the liquor supply, pouring myself and Elijah a drink.
Rebekah walked in, "Where the bloody hell is everyone?"
"It's over, Rebekah" Elijah told her quietly
"Where's mother?" Rebekah asked
"We have no mother" Elijah told her "Only Esther"
"And Esther was right" I told her, sighing.
"What'd you mean?" Rebekah looked confused
I sighed
"Although I talk of virtue, when it suits my needs, I kill, maim, and torment" Elijah told her, glancing at me guiltily. I looked away "Even today, we terrorized an innocent"
"Elena is hardly innocent" Rebekah drawled, rolling her eyes,
I lowered the glass away from my mouth, "And I used your hatred of her to get what we wanted" I said sighing.
Elijah sighed nodding slowly,"We wielded you like I would a sword... my sister"
Rebekah looked at our expressions, shaking her head in determination "You both did it to protect us and rightly so. We deserve to live. We are better than they are"
I gritted my teeth in annoyance, standing up. "Are we?" I snapped. Elijah and Rebekah looked at me cautiously, knowing my view on our ways "Your mother made us vampires. She didn't make us monsters. We did that to ourselves"
I walked away, so I could calm down.
Esther's words made me realize that me and Elijah were no better than Klaus.
We tried to be moral, tried to protect who we thought were innocent, not spilling blood like the others did. But, I was Always a flip away of Killing. The humans remembered me of my time as one and whenever I didn't have my humanity they reminded me of the time I was weak. And I let my temper get the best of me and I killed, not only humans but vampires as well. That was something I had in common with uncle Mikael, I killed vampires.
