Elena was at the grill when Damon appeared next to her. Elena finally had noticed him and sighed. "What do you want" Elena asked.

"So, this is where you spend your time when you're not stabbing people in the back" Damon said. "I tricked you into telling me the truth that's not stabbing you in the back that's using your own tactics against you" Elena said.

"Where are you going" Damon asked. "I made myself clear Damon I want nothing to do with you" Elena said and got up.

"Okay see you at Jenna's barbecue" Damon said. "How did you know about Jenna's barbecue" Elena asked.

"It was my idea Jenna went to high school with Mason Lockwood so I figured a social would be a good way to get to know the guy and even his daughter Olivia, so I told Ric to tell Jenna and" Damon said.

"Does Jenna know that you're going to be there" Elena asked. "Because she's not exactly a fan of yours" Elena said. A waiter came over and gave Damon a box of a peach cobbler before leaving.

"Perfect thank you I'm hoping this peach cobbler will pave the way" Damon said and got up. "What are you up to" Elena asked.

"I'm gonna put some silver into Mason Lockwood and prove he's a werewolf along with his daughter see you at the barbecue" Damon said. "Stay away from Olivia" Elena said and Damon left.

Mason, Liv, you got a second" Tyler asked. "Nah man barbecue at Jenna Sommers house" Mason said grabbing the keys.

"Come on man give me two minutes alright you guys can't keep dodging me I'm freaking out over here" Tyler said. "Tyler" Mason said.

"What do you want me to say man" Mason asked. "Yes, Liv and I turned into a wolf no it's not gonna happen to you" Mason said.

"How do you know that" Tyler asked. "Because you're not gonna trigger the curse" Mason said.

"Uncle Charles didn't know anything about any of this" Olivia said. "Neither did we until it happened to me and then Liv" Mason said.

"How does it get triggered" Tyler asked. "Ignorance is bliss trust me" Mason said.

"Dad's right you don't want to know" Olivia said. "You blow back into town with some supernatural family secret and you guys expect me not to ask questions" Tyler said.

"We can't say anything more Tyler I'm sorry" Mason said. "It's better you don't know" Olivia said.

"You ever find that moonstone" Tyler asked. "Do you know where it is" Mason asked.

"What's so special about it" Tyler asked. "I told you it was my mom's Liv's grandmother it's sentimental look just don't worry about it forget I even brought it up alright see you later" Mason said then he and Olivia left the Lockwood mansion heading to Jenna's.

Mason and Olivia had made it to Jenna's and Mason went to find some glasses. "Aha found the shot glasses" Mason said coming over to Jenna and Elena. "That would be my exist" Elena said.

"Wait where's Liv" Elena asked. "Don't know she was right behind me" Mason said. "Sweetheart where are you" Mason asked.

"Hi dad" Olivia said once she jumped on his back. "There's my little girl" Mason said. Jenna and Elena had smiled at the father daughter duo seeing the love the two had for each other.

Olivia had jumped down and gave her dad a side hug. "And that's my cue come on Liv" Elena said and Olivia followed her.

"You're here ten minutes and I'm already back under the bleachers at the pep rally" Jenna said.

"It's just like old times huh only I didn't swipe this bottle from my old man" Mason said. "So, how's Liv" Jenna asked.

"She's great I love her man I never thought I'd love being a dad this much" Mason said. "You two do have an amazing bond" Jenna said. "I can't imagine not being a dad it's the best thing ever" Mason said and Alaric came in.

"Ooh the expensive stuff I like you already" Alaric said. "Just happy to be invited" Mason said. "Well thank Ric, this was his idea, and I knew you wouldn't come without Olivia" Jenna said.

"Oh yeah your daughter where is she" Alaric asked. "With Elena" Mason said. "Well anyways I thought it'd be nice to meet some of Jenna's old high school friends dig up a little dirt" Alaric said.

"Oh, I've got dirt, I've got dirt" Mason said. "I have no secrets only dirty shame" Jenna said.

"To dirty shame" Alaric said and they all took a drink. "Cheers" Mason said. "Hey" Damon said coming over.

"Damon" Jenna said. "We were just doing shots let me get you a shot glass buddy" Alaric said. "No here" Jenna said and took a shot. "Use mine" Jenna said and left and Alaric gone after her. 

"She doesn't like me very much" Damon told Mason. "We haven't met Mason Lockwood" Mason said. "Oh, sure hey Damon Salvatore" Damon said and shook his hand.

"I know I've heard great things about you" Mason said. "Really that's weird I'm a jerk" Damon said. Olivia then came in going towards Mason.

"Why aren't you with Elena" Mason asked. "She's talking to Caroline" Olivia said. "This must be your daughter" Damon said.

"Yeah Olivia" Mason said. "Nice to meet you" Damon said. "Yeah, you too" Olivia said.

Damon, Mason, Olivia, Jenna, and Alaric were all playing charades. Everyone except Mason and Olivia were all trying to guess what Damon was drawing.

"Dress, ballerina" Jenna said. "Puppy, puppy, puppy with a tutu" Caroline said. "No" Damon said.

"Okay dog hound- hound dog you ain't nothing but a hound dog" Jenna said. "Dances with wolves" Mason said.

"Mason wins again" Damon said. "How is that a wolf" Jenna asked.

"Mason why don't you start us off" Damon asked. "Sure" Mason said and grabbed some peach cobbler. "Olivia" Mason yelled, and Olivia came and sat next to him.

"Yeah dad" Olivia said. "You want any dessert" Mason asked. "No, I'm good" Olivia said and Mason grabbed some with his hands putting it on his plate licking his fingers clean.

"What am I, I apologize I'm an animal" Mason said seeing the look Alaric and Damon was giving him.

"So, Mason you and, you and Jenna never dated" Alaric asked. "She was always lost in Logan Fell land" Mason said. "Oh, my first mistake Mason was a catch he had girls lining up" Jenna said.

"Really huh I always pegged you for a lone wolf" Damon said. "Oh, I'm sure I wasn't half the lady killer you were" Mason said.

"How about a toast to new friends and to my baby girl my mini me my world I don't know who I'd be without you Olivia" Mason said.

"I love you dad" Olivia said and Mason smiled. "I love you too sweetheart" Mason said. "Cheers" Mason said. "Cheers" Alaric said.

"Jenna's brought out guitar hero it might be time to mutiny" Mason told Damon as he was helping Damon and Olivia with the dishes.

"Well, I just happen to like guitar hero so you my friend are barking up the wrong tree" Damon said. "Well then you should try playing with my daughter I could never beat her" Mason said.

"He's right" Olivia said. "Also, will you stop with the dog comments" Olivia said.

"Liv's right enough with the innuendos you win you're hilarious" Mason said. "Thank you" Damon said.

"Come on man you don't think we know what this barbecue is about" Mason said. "How do you know about me your brother was completely clueless" Damon asked.

"It doesn't matter we're not your enemy Damon" Mason said. "You and your daughter tried to kill my brother" Damon said.

"Ever hear of mistakes" Olivia said. "Really" Damon said. "There was confusion we couldn't chain ourselves up in time" Mason said.

"We don't have any control when we shift" Olivia said. "Ah what no obedience school" Damon asked. "Can I hit him" Olivia said.

"No cub" Mason said. "I'm serious, let's not spark some age-old feud that doesn't apply to us" Mason said. "You expect me to believe that you and Olivia are in Mystic Falls planting peace trees" Damon asked.

"I lost my brother Liv lost her uncle my nephew lost his father Liv and I we're here for our family let's be above this" Mason said and shook his hand before leaving with Olivia.

"No takers for more drinks at the grill it's like I'm with a bunch of adults here" Mason said. "I prefer the term role model besides you need to get Liv home" Jenna said.

"Okay you're right well thanks for having us" Mason said and hugged Jenna. "It was awesome" Mason said before pulling away.

"Yeah, we enjoyed it" Olivia said. "Alaric catch that game next week" Mason asked. "Yeah, looking forward to it" Alaric said.

"Hey, you know maybe I should, I should probably head out too" Damon said. Mason looked at Damon before he and Olivia left.

Mason had stopped the car seeing Damon. "Stay in the car" Mason said. "Dad" Olivia said. "Stay in the car" Mason said and Olivia sighed.

"Fine" Olivia said. Mason had gotten out of the car and started walking to Damon.

"What more dog jokes" Mason asked. "Nah those got old" Damon said and stabbed him. He started walking towards Olivia when Mason pulled the knife out. "You know" Mason said getting up.

"I think it was werewolves who started this whole silver myth probably for moments like this" Mason said walking to his car.

"Duly noted" Damon said. "I was really looking forward to last call now you made an enemy" Mason said.

"One more thing my daughter is tougher than she looks gets it from me so if I were you, I watch my back" Mason said and got in the car driving off.

Mason and Olivia made it back to the Lockwood mansion when they saw Tyler on the couch. "How's that barbecue" Tyler asked.

"Could've gone better" Olivia said. "Not great you still mad" Mason asked. "You two still keeping secrets" Tyler asked. "Not again" Olivia said. "Yep" Mason said. "Then I'm still mad" Tyler said.

Mason and Olivia went to walk away when Tyler got up. "Hey, I was thinking about that stone you're looking for I might know a couple places it could be" Tyler said.

"Do you think this is a joke" Mason asked. "If you know where it is then, tell me" Mason said.

"Tell me how the curse is triggered" Tyler said. "Just let it go" Olivia said. "If we tell you, you won't be able to think about anything else I don't want that for you" Mason said.

"I think I can handle knowing" Tyler asked. "I wouldn't be too sure about that" Olivia said.

"You think you can handle it tough guy you have no idea" Mason said. "You want your stupid rock or not" Tyler asked.

"Tell me where it is" Mason said pinning Tyler to the wall. "Tell me what triggers the curse" Tyler said. "Dad just tell him" Olivia said.

"You have to kill someone human blood you take another person's life away from them then the curse is yours forever" Mason said and let go. "Think you can handle that" Olivia asked.
