"Do you think your parents are alive?"
Poet glanced at Diego from their shared bed, watching as he put on a shirt while staring at her. She thought about it before shaking her head, disagreeing without him.
"I don't think so," she shrugged. "I never came across any family members. I was always careful because I assumed it would have some type of impact on the future. And let's clarify that they didn't adopt, so their deaths would've been normal."
"True," Diego sighed. "I just... I can't believe Dad really adopted other kids because of what happened in the 60's. He is such an asshole. It was better when he was dead."
"Mmm, I agree," Poet nodded, lips pursed. Diego sat next to her and she rested her head on his shoulder. They both stayed silent.
"What's going on between Five and Paris?" Diego mumbled, hands intertwining with hers. "I can see that smart brain of yours thinking hard every time you see them."
"My nephew deserves the best," Poet answered, looking off. "I'm happy he discovered his sexuality because of Five but... Five has the idea of my nephew from the future and when they were the same age. Five is literally 58, his 13-year-old body is substituting for his real body. Paris is a child."
"I can see your point," Diego commented. "I'd rather Paris find someone who is not mentally 58, comes from my family, and is a psycho like Five."
Poet chuckled at her boyfriend's words and he laughed with her, just enjoying the silence of right now. But she sighed when she eyed her hands, red hue surrounding her fingers, as she remembered someone.
"I do have to admit something..." She started. Diego looked down at her, a hum escaping her lips. "If my parents had me, they probably already had—"
"Aunt Poet," Paris immediately came in, looking around the room fast. His eyes stopped as he came across his aunt who stood up straighter. "She's here."
"Who is?" Diego furrowed his eyebrows, but he didn't get an answer other than Poet standing up and leaving the room. He quickly followed after the Capulets, clearly confused at the sudden interruption.
Poet and Paris forgot about Paris's speed as they now sped walk towards the mysterious person, also forgetting that Diego followed after them. Heading into the lobby, they came across a green haired girl who had Klaus in a headlock, said man choking and slapping her hand.
Reading Diego's loud thoughts and knowing him, Poet glanced at him. "Diego, no."
But she was, obviously, too late as Diego immediately threw his knife towards the girl. The green haired girl's reflexes were fast, just like the Capulets own, as she immediately stopped the knife heading towards her head, bending the blade.
"What the—?" Diego questioned, speechless at coming across that.
"Lorna," Poet breathed out. Lorna glanced at the person who spoke, and gasped at coming to see the brunette. She dropped Klaus on the floor, who gasped for air, and walked towards her.
"Hi, sister," Lorna smiled deviously before the two hugged. Klaus and Diego glanced at one another, eyeing the sisters, and back to each other. Their whole entire childhood, they focused on the Capulets. How did they not know that they had a younger sister. "Hi, my little speedy."
"Hi, Aunt Lorna."
"Sister?" Diego questioned out loud, Lorna and Paris hugging while Poet stood back.
"That's what I wanted to tell you," Poet said. "I told Paris to look for her while we relaxed and he did. But, this is my younger sister, Lorna."
"Hi," Lorna smiled, waving at them before eyeing Klaus. "I'm sorry for choking you."
"It's okay," Klaus waved off. "I don't mind it. I quite enjoyed it."
Lorna snorted at his words before taking a hand out. "Nice to meet you." Klaus shook her hand, a smile on his lips. As they separated, she turned to look at Diego. "I don't apologize for your knife. You almost killed me."
"Not my fault," Diego raised an eyebrow. "You were choking my brother."
"And I didn't mind it."
"He didn't seem like he minded it."
The two eyed each other again and Poet shook her head, wrapping an arm around her sister. "She was not born on the same day as us," she said, clearly having heard Diego's thoughts. "Not a lot of people know about her because she was sent away when my parents successfully transferred our blood to her so she can have powers."
"They didn't want anyone to know about me," Lorna puffed her cheeks. "Anyway, I'm hungry. What are you guys inviting me to eat since Paris basically kidnapped me from my trip?"
"Let's go."
As it turned night, Lorna and Poet quickly caught up. After all, she was supposed to be away until she was 18 when she had full control of her powers. It was always Poet's wish to find her, which was going to happen after she went to go visit Allison, comfort her because of her father's death, and leave. After all, that's why she had picked up Paris earlier from his grandmother's house.
"So, they're dead huh?" Lorna asked and Poet sighed, nodding, eating her Chinese food. "Did you kill them?"
"Mom killed Dad," Poet responded. "Well, they killed each other at the same time. But, Mom planned to kill him first and I found out and told him, which is why Dad killed her, too."
"You were there?" Lorna asked as they both eyed Paris who was happily eating, eyeing everything around him, hoping to catch a glimpse of Julian. Poet nodded in response to her sister's question. "What about Julian?"
"You called?" They turned to face the voice of the man and Julian stood in his glory. "Sorry. I was looking for Mom and Dad to make sure they were dead and they are. I forgot where the house was."
"I forgot he was dead," Lorna commented, siping her drink. But, her eyes trailed away when she eyed a big man. "Should I be concerned that he has an extremely long torso but small legs?"
"He's part monkey," Diego said, receiving a glare from Luther who sarcastically chuckled. "Luther this is Lorna aka Poet's sister."
"Sister?" Luther confusedly asked, just as confused as his brothers. The girls nodded. "Hmm, okay. Nice to meet you, Lorna."
"Nice to meet you."
They continued to eat before Five popped up, which received a sigh from Paris. He left with Lorna giving her nephew a side glance.
"I should talk to him about this," Poet mumbled to her, catching her up in her mind. Lorna shook her head.
"It's okay, Poet," she smiled a little. "After all, I haven't seen him in a bit. It would be nice to catch up. I'll let you know when I need you, okay?"
"Okay."
The girl followed after Paris, well, struggling to know where he was. But, Poet quickly sent her a mind link alerting her where he was, having heard his thoughts not so far away.
"You should try chewing," Klaus told his brother. "You might actually taste the food."
"I haven't eaten in days."
"How come you didn't tell me about your sister?" Diego asked Poet as Five now spoke to the others. Poet looked at him, chewing her noodles before replying.
"Lorna is hard to get," Poet replied. "The reason why I had been so exhausted because of usage of my powers was because majority of it was wasted looking for her, trying to hear her thoughts in a world with billions of people. Do you really think that I would easily get tired from powers I had learned to control since I was a child?" Diego shook his head. "Well, I was looking for her for years. I finally found her before I went to your house and we met for the first time. But, I'm sorry for not telling you."
"Hey," Diego softly smiled at her. "It's okay, okay? I'm not upset. I just wanted to know, that's all. But, is there anything else that I should know about?"
"Um, Lorna has the ability to manipulate magnetism," Poet said.
"Oh, what is with your parents calling you weird names?" Diego dismissed what she said. "I've never heard of Lorna or Poet. Julian seems to be the only one with the most normal name. Don't get me wrong, sweets, I just find it odd."
"My dad had weird names he wanted to name us. So, he went with those."
"We're the Benetton ad of superheroes," they heard Five explain. They turned to look at him, "born all around the world until Dad brought us here, which he no longer did. Doppels probably aren't even in the same time zone as us."
"That's true."
"Would you pass the moo shu?" Klaus asked and Poet did so, though, as she passed him what he wanted, a big thought came to her head.
Turn around.
Both she and Diego turned around in synch, coming to see Lila standing there with a grin on her face. She ran away and Poet immediately got out of her seat, hearing Diego excuse both of them before he, too, followed.
As they walked down the hallway and made a turn, there Lila stood. Surprisingly, Poet couldn't hear her thoughts. She must've worked hard to have her thoughts blocked.
"Hello, lovebirds," Lila greeted.
"Holy shit," Diego spoke. "You really came back."
"Miss me already?" Lila sarcastically questioned before eyeing Poet. "Don't be flirting with me when she's here."
"I wasn't."
"That's too bad," Lila said. "But, I'm not here to stick around. I'm just doing a quick little drop-off."
"Of what?" Poet asked.
Lila moved aside and a child stood there.
"Your guys' son."
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
So, we need to talk.
When I first started this book,
I wasn't aware of Elizabeth Olsen's
problematic views or things she had
done that were problematic.
All I knew was that she was the
perfect faceclaim for Poet. She was
the first person I thought of when I
created Poet, but, it was my fault for
not doing enough research.
As an author, when I have a faceclaim,
I have a faceclaim and I'm set. So I
will apologize for that.
As for people who comment and
send me messages of: "Five
and Paris's relationship makes
me uncomfortable, so I won't read
your book anymore" there is no
reason for you to comment that. If
you don't like it and you're not gonna
read, simply stop reading.
Believe me, the amount of negative
comments are making me want to
just ignore this book and delete it,
but, It's about a faceclaim, the name
of the character, five and paris, and I'm
hearing you.
If you guys re-read the book and see
those comments, explain to them that
I did apologize. I didn't mean to offend
anyone. I will change the faceclaim if
they wish and if you wish. I'm sorry.
