A talk with my mother
(I recently read through this and realized how many loop holes there are. I also realized I haven't updated in a month.)
(I also realized how much I rushed solangelo)

When I got home it was late. Octavian had already gone to sleep. I sort of hoped that Percy would be in my room, waiting for me to get here to go to bed, but I knew he wouldn't be.
Gods this was hard. I collapsed almost immediately onto my bed.
Will had walked me home tonight. I kind of hoped he would keep doing it. It gave me comfort.
I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
-
"Nico! Get up!" I heard Octavian yell. I groaned.
"It's a weekend..." I mumbled.
"It's noon. Get up." He yanked me out of bed.
I blinked. Octavian looked tired; I doubted he would do anything.
"How late were you out last night?"
"Ten."
"Tell the truth."
I sighed. "Or what?"
"Or I'll-"
"Beat me up? You do that anyway." I pushed past him and headed downstairs. Maybe if I got down quick enough, he wouldn't be able to steal my food. Sure enough, when I got down, my plate was sitting on a table with all of the food on it. I picked it up and went back up to my room, where Octavian was waiting.
(WOAH THAT WAS A LONG PARAGRAPH)
"I don't like this new attitude of yours."
"I've never liked yours." I muttered. I set my plate on my nightstand.
"What?"
"Nothing."
He shoved me up against the wall. "Look, if you think now that you've got a boyfriend you can say what you want, then you are very, very wrong."
I glared at him and he glared back.
"That's what I thought."
He strutted back out and I sat down to eat breakfast. Alone.

I hate weekends. I don't see Nico nearly as much as I do on weekdays.
"I'm going out, mom."
"Wait. Will, I need to talk to you."
"About what?"
"Come with me." I reluctantly followed her to the living room.
"What is it?"
"I just... the way you've been acting lately... always leaving the house... I just wondered if you have a girlfriend." I laughed nervously.
"And then I wondered if you had a boyfriend and that's why you never told us. And why you've never had a girlfriend before."
I swallowed. "W-what?"
"Do you have one?"
"Y-yes..."
"Which one? Boyfriend or girlfriend?"
"Mom, I really need to go-"
"And I really need to know."
I sighed. "Boyfriend." I tensed, preparing myself for yelling and cursing.
She smiled. "What's he like?"
I grinned. "You don't care?"
She shook her head. "I don't care gender. I do care if he's a bratty alcoholic that likes profanity. What's he like?"
"Not a bratty alcoholic that likes profanity."
"Well, what else?"
"Mom, do you remember Nico Di Angelo from when I was little?"
"Yes, I do. You two were inseparable." She smiled at the memory. "It's him?"
"Yeah."
"Well, that's good. What's his sister like? Does she still bake using a easy-bake oven?"
"Mom, she's dead."
"What?" She paled.
"He goes to an orphanage. His mom and sister died in a car accident."
"Oh.... that must be terrible."
"Yeah. I've got to go."
"One more thing."
"Yeah?"
"How come you couldn't tell me? That you were gay?"
"I was just... I was scared of what you'd say."
"Will, I'd never... I wouldn't..."
"I know now. Thanks."
(I'm already tired of writing this.)
I headed out the door with a smile on my face. That felt amazing.
Eh I'm done with this chapter. Hopefully I'll update soon. Please comment (I'm desperate.) because comments are like gold to me! Pleeeeeeease!
I forgot whether I put word counts on the end of each chapter. Oh well: 642 words.
