Chapter 6: The Second Floor
Ashley jumped when she heard the door slam shut. Ashley's body started to shake a little. Ashley walked up to the stairs they cracked after every step Ashley took. Ashley got up the stairs and there were more rooms and Ashley was tired of looking around. Ashley just wanted to go home- Did she have a home? Ashley couldn't remember what her life was like before she woke up.
Ashley walked to her left and a room caught her eye. A room called the art studio. Ashley opened the door as a gust of cold air went through her. "Was the window open?" Ashley thought. Ashley checked all the windows and none of them were open. The cold air fated into warm muggy air like before. Ashley saw papers on the desks covered in what looked like red paint or blood.
Ashley took a piece of paper and smelt the paper it had a rotten iron smell. It was blood. Ashley put the paper down and looked at the other desk each had names. Jessica, Luke, James, Sammy, Alice, Ace, and the teacher's name. Mrs. Jade. Ashley looked at the desks again and saw a few desks were covered in blood. She looked at the names and something in her tensed up inside. Mrs.Jade, Luke, Jessica, and Alice had their desks covered in blood. Ashley's insides started to turn and tense up her hand and hold her heart covering her mouth. Across from Alice's desk on the floor, there was a...Red circle. Ashley saw a closet and found extra clothes that were her size.
Ashley crossed the red circle with the chalk. There was no load noise this time? As she walked out of the room the loud bang scared her to death. Ashley checked the door she saw by the stairs. She opened the door and it was a balcony. Ashley took a step and smelt the chlorine from the pool room. She walked to the railing and looked down and saw the pool and the bloody footprints.
"Why does this place have a balcony for a pool?" Ashley asked herself
"Something seems off like someone here." Ashley thought
Then Ashley heard a door slam again and a girl was crying for what it sounded like. There was someone here. Did I scare them? Or were they here the whole time? Ashley's skin started to crawl with fear. The thought of someone being her the whole time is odd. They must be good at hiding. That's a skill if you don't say. Then the whole house was shaking from the thunderstorm from outside. It was pouring from what Ashley could see from the downstairs window.
The girl's cries were louder than the thunderstorm. Then there was a bloody murder scream that came from above me. Was there a third floor? An Attic maybe? The pain I felt was I pain I never felt before in my life. Although I don't remember my past, something wanted me to be here. It's fate's work. Ashley walked to the next door and which was called the " Therapy room" Ashley walked inside the room and there were two doors. One said "kid," and the other said "Adult" I went inside the kids' one and there was a paper of kids' names that were there. "Jasmine, Jack, Luke, Sammy, Ace, Oliver, Alice, Ace, Ace, Ace, Alice, Alice." Most names Ashley remembers from the art room but the others weren't ever brought up.
Then Ashley left and went to the Adult one instead. There was the same paper and Ashley picked it up and read out the names. "Mrs.Jade, Mr. James, Mrs.Jackson, Mr. William, Ms.white, Mrs.Jade, Mrs.Jade." Why did Mrs. Jade goes to therapy? Even the other teacher? The kids? The other Adults? So many questions filled Ashley's head with guilt and sympathy.
