Chapter 4: Behind The Stairs
Ashley went to the doors that we covered by the stairs. Ashley opened the doors and it was a shower room that smelled like mold and rotten iron. Ashley looked at the walls and there was blood making out what seemed like words. The world splattered on the walls and said: "Alice, Help me, watch your back, die." The world freaked me out and there were bloody hand prints around the walls. There was a door at the end of the corridor. Ashley walked to the rusted drown door and carefully opened it.
As Ashley opened the door the smell of chlorine went into the air and she saw a 16-foot-long pool in the room. There were three diving boards and the pool was 3 feet to 18 feet deep. Ashley saw lockers on the other side and walked along the pool deck. As Ashley turned the corner she saw something appear to her, bloody footprints walked toward her. Ashley started to panic and due to her panic, she fell into the blood-warm pool.
"Were those footprints!" Ashley said to herself.
"Where did they come from?" Ashley asked herself as the wall echoed her voice.
Ashley swam out of the pool and noticed something was off. Ashley picked up the water with her hand and saw the water was red. The pool had blood like blood and water like something you'd see in a shark movie. Ashley opened the locker and found a towel that was clean and warm. Ashley wrapped herself in the towel and looked in the other lockers.
"This one looks like it got bent," Ashley said, shivering.
Ashley opened the locker and there was nothing in the locker other than a red circle. Ashley took the chalk from her half-wet backpack. Everything wasn't damaged, luckily. Ashley took the chalk and marked an X over the circle. Then the load bang started again.
"This Ace guy likes red circles," Ashley said with a little giggle.
Ashley left the pool room and went to see if the showers worked. Ashley turned the knob and nothing happened. Ashley tried every shower and they didn't work. Then Ashley left through the doors with the towel still on. Then Ashley turned to the other side of the hallway she hadn't been to yet.
Ashley walked and saw blood on the floor going into an air vent. That explained the rotten blood smell in this orphanage. Ashley stepped over the blood and continued walking. Then there was a room called
"The boarding room". Ashley noticed the door was already open like someone had only been in there. Ashley walked inside there was a projection screen and there were chairs and boxes. Ashley walked over to the boxes and then she heard something click. She turned around and saw the projection was playing static like a broken TV.
The area gave Ashley a creepy feeling. How did the projection turn on? Is someone here? Why was the door open? All of these questions ran through Ashley's head creating a spiral of madness. It felt like this Orphanage was whelve meaning to bury something deep to hide. It gave me an eerie feeling and knowing I was solivagant in this old place. Solivagant these halls trying to find a way out and wanting to leave this place. Ashley saw a room called the "Projection room" By the desk in the boarding room. Ashley opened the door and there was a bed and looked like someone remade the bed. There was no one in the room and Ashley was wondering how the projection turned on.
Ashley knew that tacenda was a way to leave it unsaid. Ashley left the room and left the boarding room and looked for another room. She was at the end of the hallway and on her left, stairs were going down into a basement. "Why is there a basement in an Orphanage?" Ashley whispered to herself. Ashley remembered there was no red circle in the boarding room. She found a few but there wasn't one in that room.
