This is EXTREMELY similar to how I hear "terror rock" in my head. Not the entire thing, but the uneven beat, creaking sound, the violin slides about a minute and a half in, the seeming dissonance at the end of the song. It's like that, but with an alt-rock feel to it, if that makes sense. So it's heavier.

I'm just happy I found something that's close to this made up genre. :)
