Tyler Lockwood #2
You slowly turn the doorknob to find the door to the Lockwoods' mansion is open. You don't hear anything from inside, but you step in anyway to see if Tyler might be around.
Just an hour ago, you talked to Caroline, one your closest friends, who was almost inconsolable because Tyler broke up with her, something about hunting down Klaus Mikaelson, even though that terror had already left Mystic Falls. You were surprised, because you're friends with Tyler and he didn't tell you about any of that, which is why you decided to stop by his house and see what he's been up to.
"Tyler?" you call. "Tyler Lockwood, you better still be around. There's a friend here who I think you owe an explanation."
"Y/N?"
Tyler comes down the staircase looking worn-out like he hasn't slept in days.
"What are you doing here?" he asks.
You sigh. "What am I doing here. Tyler, I just talked to Caroline, who is incredibly upset because you dumped her. She said you're going after Klaus Mikaelson."
"I am going after Klaus, Y/N. That's why I broke up with Caroline and why I'm getting out of Mystic Falls. I don't want Caroline or any of my friends, including you, to be in danger."
"Tyler, Klaus left Mystic Falls months ago. He moved all the way in New Orleans. I say good riddance, since he was the bane of everyone's existence while he was in town, and let's hope he never comes back."
"No, Y/N, you don't get it, okay? He killed my mom. He drowned her, and he'll never be able to be brought to justice because of who he is."
You nod. "So, you think this is the best way to go? You know you can't kill him, right? There's the sire line. You, Caroline, and the Salvatore brothers will all die."
"I know," he says. "That's why I would take a different route, and hurt someone he cares about, like he did to me. Y/N, no one else understands why I'm doing this, so please tell me you get it somehow."
"I think...I think I do. Because if it were me, I'd probably be doing the same thing, you know? Trying to get back at him. Just be careful, okay?" You hug him tight. "That guy has definitely proven he's dangerous."
"Of course I'll be careful. Look, if I make it out of New Orleans alive, I'll come back and see you and everyone else, okay? You can all about the stupid things I did."
You smile. "Well, of course I want to hear all about that. Don't get yourself killed, Tyler, please. I'd like you to come back."
He nods. "I'd like to come back, too. And now, thanks to you, I know there'll be at least one person who would welcome me back."
