Freya Mikaelson #3 (Sequel to #2)

It's a sunny day when you drive up to the Salvatore Boarding School. You and your wife Freya and bringing your daughter Faith home for the summer, and you're glad it's the last day of school. When it was time for her to start school, you didn't like the idea of sending Faith away to Virginia, but you and Freya agreed that it would be good for her for go to a school where she could makes friends with other children like her.

"It's about time," Klaus grumbles. "Who knows how long the girls have been waiting for us at this point?"

Your brother-in-law is sitting in the seat behind you, and you've been very aware of the fact that he seems to think you've been driving too slow.

"I was only doing the speed limit," you reply, looking at Klaus in the rearview mirror. "Would you have preferred we get pulled over by a cop?"

"And don't say yes because you could have compelled the cop to leave us alone," Freya adds.

Klaus shrugged. "I'm just saying, I could have gotten us here faster I you'd let me drive."

You shake your head. "I'm sorry, Klaus, but I think everyone here except you would say that I'd probably be the safer driver."

Despite Klaus' criticism, you get along with your brother-in-law pretty well. He acted suspicious of you when you first met him, but you later learned that that was just Klaus being himself. You must have proven your worth at some point, because he seems to see you as another member of the family. He was obviously happy to see his own daughter bond with her little cousin, given that he and his siblings are usually arguing with each other over something.

"I think I should go look for Faith," Freya says. "I don't see her outside." She steps out of the car, but then she stops and smiles. "Faith!"

Your daughter runs to the car and hugs her mother, and then you climb out and hug Faith tight.

"How was the rest of your school year?" you ask her.

"It was great," she answers. "But I'm glad to be home for the whole summer."

"She's been doing great in school," says Hope, who had come running along with her cousin. She slides into the backseat next to her father, and Faith gets in next to her.

"Well, you must be doing good too, Hope," you say to her. "Freya and I promised your mom we'd get you home safely, which is why I'm driving."

"Well, I had driven-" Klaus begins.

"It's not that you're a bad driver, Dad," Hope says to him. "But since we'll be diving within the speed limits, I'll have plenty of time to tell you about the school year."

"Okay, then." You turn the engine back on. "Let's go home."
