Finn Mikaelson #1

You sit alone on the bench, watching every single person who walks by, waiting for someone. You don't know when he'll be here, or if he would even show up at all, but you are perfectly willing to sit here for the rest of day to wait and see if he'll appear.

There was a time when you adored Finn Mikaelson. He became the light of your life, and he told you once that you were the one good thing in his life. But after a while, the feelings began to change. The last time you saw Finn, centuries ago, the two of you had a terrible fight, and then you never saw him again.

You know now that his siblings had him locked away in a coffin for centuries, and you're not angry with him. You recently wrote to him, saying that you're in town and would like to meet up if he wants to. You wrote that you would wait for him here today and that if he wanted to see you, this is where he would find you.

You wait for most of the day, never leaving the bench, in the event that he does show up. While you wait, you wonder what you're going to say to him. It's been nine hundred years, and the last conversation you had was a fight. You're going to apologize for the way things ended up, and he'll probably apologize, too. But what then? Your hope is that this meeting will give you a chance to reconnect with each other, and maybe have a place in each other's lives again.

The day is nearly over, and the sun is starting to set. He still isn't here. You sigh, and get up from the bench. You know he must have gotten the letter. He just didn't want to be here.

You begin to walk away. If he isn't coming, there's no point in sticking around, is there?

 "Y/N? Is it you?"

You stop walking, and turn around. Finn Mikaelson is standing in front of the bench where you spent hours waiting for him.

"I'm sorry I'm here so late," he says. "I swear I would have been here sooner, but I got stuck in the middle of a crisis. It feels like we're always stuck in the middle of a crisis. Were you waiting here the entire day?"

You nod. "I was. I was just starting to think you weren't going to show up. But you're here now. That's all that matters." You hold out your hand. "Come on. Talk a walk with me, will you? I think we have a lot to talk about."
