Finally, we have reached the Blood Moon Pack.

"Do you want to walk or change?" My brother asked.'

"I think I will change. This way we will reach there faster."

"Ok. You go change. I will order a cab to send these thing near the border."

I looked around and found a large tree. I ran there and removed my clothes. I imagined my white wolf and shifted. I picked up my clothes, careful as to not tear them.

I ran back to my brother, who was waiting for me in his wolf form. He nodded at me and began running. I followed him.

Are you sure this is the right way? I asked.

Yes this is the right way. It is covered with wilderness to divert human travellers.

But isn't that a weak defense?

You will see.

I saw our bags, lying in the middle of nowhere. Where the hell are the guards? The strongest pack can not have such weak defences. Maybe the cab driver got lost and dropped our bags here. That is the only possible reason.

I ran a little in front of the bags. I felt a tingly feelings. I ran back to my brother and felt that tingly feeling again.

I changed back into human form and wore my clothes.

"Where is the pack?"

"Why are you running from one end of the pack to another?" He asked me in turn.

"What? I am not... Oh! Witches! You could just have told me earlier and stopped me from making a fool of myself." I slapped my forehead.

"We want to visit the Blood Moon Pack" He announced to no one in particular.

Suddenly, a blinding flash came out of nowhere. Guards appeared as if they were always there. Which they were.

"Tell us the information." One guard with blond hair said.

The information is a basic word for the purpose for which we are at a particular place. It is most commonly used by guards and warriors.

"I am Ethan Summers, Beta of the Lake Moon Pack. This is my sister, Emily Summers. We are here to meet Scholar Valentina Knight. We have a pre-scheduled appointment with her."

The guard began turning the pages of the diary in his hand. He stopped at a particular page.

"Oh yes, you have an appointment. Scholar Valentina told us that she herself wants to pick you up. Please wait here for a second."

His eyes glazed over. He must be mind linking Valentina.

About two minutes later, a car came into vision. The car halted in front of us. The window rolled down to reveal Valentina, as I remembered her from her picture, only her long wavy hair was straightened.

"Hello Emily and Ethan! Welcome to the Blood Moon Pack." She waved for us to enter her car. I sat in the passenger seat while Ethan sat in the back seat.

"So, I completed the book I was reading. I will tell you about it later. You may want to fake sleep, right now. It is more urgent than the book." She said, all in one breath.

"Why?"

"It is either fake sleep or meet-and-greet with 100 people at once. The pack members are really excited to meet this new guest of ours."

I decided fake-sleep is the best option. The car stopped suddenly.

"Good evening, Beta Female" A male voice said.

"Good Evening, Dominic." Valentina replied.

"May I have the pleasure of meeting this guest of yours?"

"Um, no, actually, you see she is sleeping. She will meet you tomorrow. Bye."

The car started moving again.

I walked on the red carpet upstairs. I admired every painting on the way up. I checked my watch. I was still 5 minutes ahead of the meeting time.

I don't know what Vale will have read from the book. Am i special or anything? Or is one of my mates lying? I saw someone coming down from the stairs. I stopped the girl and asked her the direction to Valentina's room. She directed me to left side and walked off without any greeting. How rude!

I continued walking up in the direction she had pointed, until I reached a room labelled Beta Female. I remember Dominic(whoever that was) calling Vale Beta Female. I knocked twice on the door.

"Come in, Em." Vale called from inside.

"Hello"I said, entering the room.

"So, I wanted to tell you about this book."

"Yes, i know that Vale."

"This book says that all werewolves originated from the Original 10 werewolves. These Original Werewolves were created by Moon Goddess herself. But she wanted to depict equality through these 10 werewolves. So, she created 5 males and 5 females, 5 high-rankers and 5 low-rankers, 5 powerful and 5 weak, 5 beautiful and 5 ugly. This was the ideal balance, according to her. But Lucian, the God of mischief and evil, objected her."

"Why would he object her? It was really balancing." I furrowed my brows.

"Lucian said that these werewolves only represent the good and not the Evil in the society. The moon Goddess thought that he had a point. So, she made 5 out of these 10 werewolves bad."

"But no werewolf is completely bad from birth." I twirled a strand of my hair absentmindedly.

"Yes. What happened was that one bad wolf was the mate of one good wolf. So their children were 50% bad and 50% good from birth. After that, every child had a proportion of good and evil in birth. If a child had 2 completely bad parents, it was given 10% good as a gift. It was the opposite for 2 completely good parents."

"Oh, this system seems great. But where do I come in here?"

"Well, the Original Ones were reborn again and again in different families, with different power-rankings and with some special abilities. After the third generation, they are known to have 3 mates."

"Oh, so you are thinking I am an Original One. But I have 2 mates not three." I tilted my head.

"You have yet to find your third mate. This is the only possible explanation I have found till now. There is no other explanation for you having two mates."

I waved her bye and rushed to my brother's room. I told him everything. He too seemed unsure and said to wait to see how the events turn out.

Yes, I will show you tomorrow. Right now, I am going to sleep. I am very tired and exhausted.

I switched off the lights and fell down on my bed.
