Author's Note
Welcome to my book, The Organ Trail. It isn't exactly a "horror book," but there will be some heavy topics. However, do not fret, nothing will be too gruesome or intimate, although I might make a whole separate book if people desire something more adult and descriptive.
Now, on with the story!
◈◈◈◈◈
Large swaths of people moving across the Oregon Trail, coming from every currently inhabited continent. Traveling on wagons or on horseback, across long stretches of land, across rivers, and over mountains. All to settle in the vast land of the North West. To start new families. To start a new life. Or at least, that's what people thought. In reality, they were running from something much worse. Something no live person would ever dream of. Then again, the monsters weren't alive.

Excerpt:
"They're here. They're come! Run! They're here!" the frantic cries, the screaming.
Gunfire.
Moaning.
Thrashing.
More screaming.
Then an eerie silent.
No one knew who, or what, was coming. All they knew was to run. They didn't try and help. Because now, it was every human for themselves.
That might have been the cause of all the death. Humans didn't work together. They fought wars with each other to control more land. They looted and plundered, taking everything, depleting natural resources and then splurging them later. The zombies on the other hand, if they still had hands, worked side by side, as if they were controlled by a hive mind.
All the dead wanted to do was kill and convert, while humans strived to live.
Then again, do we humans deserve to live?
