Slight mention of abuse.

I woke up slowly, feeling something soft underneath me. The last time I felt something like this.... I jumped out of bed, landing on my feet. My mind scrambled as to where I was, and then I remembered where I was. I sighed in relief.

I opened the door, and found an orange gi in front of my door. I smiled. They had noticed that I liked orange. I grabbed it, and closed the door. I took off my clothes and  changed into the gi. I carefully hung the clothes that I  had recieved in the closet, smiling with pleasure that although I had been beat, they at least taught me how to do basic chores. Like hang up my clothes.

I checked the clock, and saw that it was 4:00 in the morning. I went to the kitchen to see what was in the cupboards to make breakfast. I found an amazing variety of options, and I whistled silently. I was impressed. I had always loved cooking, and this was a cook's dream.

I gathered the ingredients to make pumpkin pancakes, along with bacon and eggs. After I made breakfast for everyone, I found syrup and orange juice. I poured everyone a glass of juice, and set the table. By the time I was done, it was 5:30, just about time to get everyone up. I knew how strict senseis were. After all, I had had a pretty strict teacher when I was younger.

Zane was the first one to walk through the door, and his eyes widened when he saw the food. "Did you make all of this?" I nodded. A sudden idea hit me. 'Do you want to prank the others?' I asked him. He smiled, a mischievous glem in his eyes. "I would love to." He said.

After we set the prank up, we went back to the kitchen, and Zane called "Breakfast is ready!" We heard doors open, and yelps of surprise as buckets of ice cold water we had placed over each door spilled on them. We had done it to everyone but Sensei Wu. We knew he would not take it well.

Jay was the first one through the door, soaking wet. Closely following him was Kai and the others. They looked at us, and saw the mirth in our eyes. They just stared at us, dumbstruck that we had pulled that off. Zane fell to the floor laughing, while I went to go wake Sensei Wu up.

I softly knocked on the door. He opened the door, already up and dressed. "You have to come see this." I whispered, shaking with euphoria. He raised an eyebrow. He followed me to the dining room, and when he saw the others he started shaking. He burst out laughing, the others joining in.

When they were done laughing, Wu wiped his eyes and said "I guess that'll teach you to sleep in." I laid a gental hand on his arm, getting his attention. I gestured to the table. 'The foods gone cold. Kai, will you heat it up?' He did so using his power. Everyone sat down. 'Dig in!' I hand-signed.

I went to go take off the apron I had on off as everyone started eating. I went out on deck, warming up to train. After I warmed up, I looked at the training equipment. I started flying through the air, falling into an easy, silent training. Whenever I trained, even to my former senseis ears I was silent. I smiled at the memory, always focusing on my next move, block or attack.

When I finished training, I heard clapping. I spun around quickly, noticing Cole standing there. I froze. I hadn't expected anyone to be done yet. I locked eyes with him. I quickly flipped up to the top of the mast, wanting to get away and still be on the ship. Cole stared up at me in awe.

I sat on the mast facing away from him, trying to breath normally. When I finally calmed down, I peeked to look if he was still there or not. He was talking to the others, who had just come out. I guess he was telling them how he watched me train.

It suddenly got windy. I held tight to my scarf and the mast. The wind roared, and I almost lost my grip. I pushed a button, and there was a click. I froze. The wind stopped. And right in front of me was a tray of some sort, with a scroll on it. I picked up the scroll, and the tray shot back into wherever it came from.

I carefully unrolled the scroll, and immediately there was a bright orange light. Everything started turning black, and I lost my grip on the mast. I fell backwards, the scroll disappearing into me. I felt it. As I was hurtling towards the ground, I heard shouting, and came back into focus. I turned onto my stomach, and flipped. I landed in my feet, breathing lightly.

I looked up, and realized that everyone was staring at me. Jay was the first to speak. "Wow! How did you do that? Were you scared? What happened?" He said, as fast as his element. I held up my hands, as a way to get him to calm down. 'First, calm down. I'll tell you later, but for now I just want to be alone.' Jay looked crestfallen. I sighed. 'I'll do whatever you want to do for an hour if you leave me alone. Deal?' Jay shook his head empathetically. I smiled. 'See you guys later.'

So I know that the last chapter was short. I was in a hurry. I made this chapter long to make it up to you. New chapter will come out tomorrow.
