Chapter 2

Cyrus bowed his head towards Zalora who had returned it. "I wondered when you would show up."

"The same goes for you Namirthurain." Zalora replied.

"So you know why I've come," Cyrus asked as Zalora lead them down the path to her hut. "I assume you know the rumors."

"I've been seeing signs," Zalora replied. "However there is more at stake than this petty war of men. Pyramus is mobilizing his forces as we speak. I believe he intends on resurrection of his old master."

"Lady Zalora," Falaina said. "How do you know this half-elf? Also what are you two referring about? Who is Pyramus?"

Zalora had come to a stop at the very spot of stones with runes on it that's were directly in front of her hut that had a thatched roof and straw walling. "He is Cyrus Blade, son of Dragmir, Warriormage of the Northern Kingdoms of Alantanshur."

"Dragmir was Carlisle's descent," Kazeel said, glancing at Cyrus. "So you're royal blood?"

"I tend not to worry to much about that," Cyrus replied. "Besides, I'm not. I was barred from the royal family because of my human heritage."

"Pyramus is the mage of the Dragon's Oracle," Zalora said as she entered her hut with the others in tow. "He was once a Dragonbane Priest. They dealt with deep dark magic. Taught by Akanoth, the DragonKing."

"So what does that mean now?" Falaina asked, settling down next to Kazeel who had found a seat near the entrance.

The hut was small but spacious, with a large table to their right adorned with a rich cloth and topped with a few stones and incense alit and fragrant. There was a bed to the further walling with a picture of a group of people above it. Cyrus walked over to it while Zalora went to a chest muttering some words that were incoherent to Kazeel and Falaina.
Cyrus chuckled at the picture, reminding him of the olden days. It had been too long indeed. He glaned to the entrance to notice Zalora returning back to them carrying what seemed to be a parchment. "This is what it means Falaina."

She laid it onto the floor and it seemed to be a map, and a very large detailed one. Cyrus bent down and placed his hand on the right corner and nodded. "So the Bloodstone of Mirandir, the Mage of Etherim is there? I thought it would've been in Ilanshur, to where the Dwarven Highlands  are."

"I thought so as well," Zalora replied. "But the bloodstone was moved again when the Oracle mobilized a few centuries before. With Pyramus coming with his forces you'll have to destroy it once and for all."

"That is dark magic to destroy it Zalora," Cyrus replied, standing up. "I don't delve in those arts, also there is magic protecting the stone even if it's in the area of the Darklands. How do you expect me to know where in the Darklands?"

Zalora glanced at Kazeel, who frowned at her. She wasn't going to suggest something stupid was she? Kazeel hoped she was just glancing for a bit just to stop looking at Cyrus. However it seemed she meant to indicate something. Cyrus glanced at Kazeel as well.

"Something you trying not say Zalora," He asked. "The kid can't be what I think he is."

Zalora nodded. "He's been one unknown to his very self."

Kazeel really looked perplexed, glancing at the others. "What are you guys talking about?"

"You're a Navigator Mage," Cyrus replied. "It's an old art taught to some mages to discern direction. They also specialize in combat and are proficient in archery. But there is more about them."

"How do you figure that?" Kazeel asked. "There are plenty of people in this village that learned the art of magic."

"Not this kind," Cyrus replied. "You have the gift, just by you sensing earlier. you sensed me earlier. Until your lady friend decided to blast with her little spell."

"I don't regret it." Falaina replied, folding her arms. " Besides you are a half human, and humans aren't welcome here."

"You are silly child," Zalora replied. "You're hatred is too much. There are humans who also know the ramifications of this war and they openly don't like it. Cyrus is one of these types. He is an ally.'

"So what now?" Kazeel asked getting up.

"You two are going with Cyrus," Zalora replied. "He will need your help."

"Absolutely not!" Falaina snapped. "Why should we accompany him?! Also it will look odd with a half human and two elves in the land."

"You have a preconception when you haven't been outside in the land," Cyrus replied. "You have no idea what it's like girl."

"We will leave in ten minutes," Zalora replied. "I will also accompany you old friend. Also so Falaina doesn't try to murder you on the way to our destination."

Cyrus shrugged and walked outside, only for him to shout.

"GET OUT THERE NOW!!"

A sudden blue light erupted around them blinding them and then dark.
