[15] Outdoors

Its been a week since I've been living with Justin. It might sound strange but throughout the week timespan, Justin has shown nothing but care and towards me and I could clearly tell that it was genuine. I was truly grateful for that because he really did help me feel a little better. Both physically and emotionally.

Doctor Bauer has been great help to me and now my injuries caused by the fall about a week and a half ago aren't so bad. Sometimes I just keep on having a constant migraine but doctor Bauer said that it's nothing big or something to be hugely bothered about because my head was also impacted by the tremendous fall. He has given me some tablets that can help with the migraine and also painkillers for the pain I've been feeling on my left side.

I had become used to being indoors, I didn't even go with Justin the time he went to fetch my clothes and the rest of my stuff at my now old home. I instead remained with the company of Nick, he's such a cool guy by the way. Along with Levi. All Justin has been doing all week is going out most of the day and only come back later. In the meantime, I would remain with Nick or Levi, sometimes both of them. I didn't know why they weren't attending school but Levi said he quit high school this year when he was about to start senior year. As for Nick, he just said that his parents think he's at school so he didn't have to worry. I was feeling guilty because he had to come be with me instead of actually going to school.

During the week, all I did every day was to stay in bed for as long as I could, I sometimes even had nightmares about Ben and Justin would usually come and sleep on the floor beside me just so that I didn't feel alone. I had objected him from doing so and told him that I'd be okay but I was lying. The fear is still very much alive in me, the memories are still so fresh and they keep on haunting me. I was scared of being permanently scarred by what Ben did to me. He wounded my soul, and clouded my mind with thinking that I'm worthless.

It was like a secret for me, I didn't dare tell it. The whole world could know that my uncle physically abused me, but I just didn't know if I am ever going to be able tell that my uncle sexually abused me as well. It is a lot for me to believe that he had the potential of being so absurd, I guess I never knew who he really was. I guess I was just clueless and he shown his true colors which was very unexpected, so unreal.

I guess I was as good as nothing to him. It didn't even matter to him that I am his niece, I always ask myself what happened to him that made him the person that he became. So malicious, built with so much anger and hatred along with a lot of other negative emotions in him and taking it out in the most malevolent way.

Currently, I was sitting alone in my room and tucked in the sheets. It was nearing midday as I could see the little sunshine through the curtains. I woke up around six in the morning and I had been in a cloud of thoughts about everything.

I could feel a rush of tears nearing but I quickly managed to control myself, I didn't want to shed tears no longer.

Suddenly I could hear footsteps nearing, getting closer and closer until I heard a soft knock on the door.

"Come in" I replied, my voice sounded so faded.

The door slowly and softly creaked open and Justin's figure appeared. I almost chocked on my breath. He was looking so...handsome and didn't even have to try too hard.

He was just in his dark denim jeans and a plain white shirt. Simple and casual but made it look so amazing. I swear most men would kill to have his body, the way he effortlessly put models to shame.

His bronze hair was messy, almost as if he just woke up now. His skin toned, beautifully shaped pink lips on display. He had put on a piercing on his lip today, which by the way, totally took my breath away. The way he looked so good...

"Amara, did you hear what I said?"

What?

"I asked if you don't want to go somewhere today. It's a Friday and I'm not letting you stay indoors again." He spoke with a little bit of hoarse to his voice.

"I...uh...yes."

"Wow really? I thought you were gonna turn me down but not that I would allow it. So you better get ready now, we are leaving in an hour's time." And with that, he left the room with a smile evident on his face.

And that's when it clicked, Justin was taking me out and the way I look like a mess....

Without any further thoughts, I'm surprised I didn't break a bone judging by the way I sprinted to the bathroom.

"Where are we going?" I asked as I stepped into the living room where Justin was patiently waiting for me. He had been laying back on the couch and typing on his iPhone but stood up as soon as he acknowledged my presence.

"Wow, you look way better than you did precisely forty five minutes ago."

I breathed in sharply.

"Uhm, thanks."

Justin grinned before sliding his phone in his back pocket and picking up his car keys. "Well, to answer your question, we are going to the skating park. We'll be meeting up with Nick and Levi there."

"Wow okay, I might just show you my very own skills if you get lucky Mr Hazard."

Justin chuckled before grabbing the house keys and locking the house as we made way to his car parked in the garage. It had tinted windows, no doubt it matched his everyday bad boy look.

As soon as he unlocked the car, I made a move to open the passenger seat's door but was stopped. I turned around to look at Justin whom had grabbed my wrist.

"Please, let me cakes." I made a confused look but I got the clarification as soon as I saw him reaching out to open the door for me.

I grinned "wasn't necessary but thanks." I hopped in and watched Justin go to his side.

In about fifteen minutes, we had made it to the skating park.

There were people skatering everywhere. Competitions were being held and everyone wanted to show off their skills. Music was playing and that could easily get people in the mood and make people feel happy and excited.

On the other side of the park, was where people just hung out and also skate around as there were also rings of skating.

I loved the atmosphere here, it kind of made me feel better, made me feel more alive than I was. This past week I've been indoors and coming out here is doing me good.

Justin and I went towards Nick and Levi, they had a few skating boards with them, three to be precise. They were having a conversation before Nick spotted us.

"Oh look here they are." Nick said, smiling as soon as he saw us, and as he roughly nudged Levi with his shoulder.

Justin chuckled and picked up one of the skateboards.

"Wow, I really didn't expect to see Amara with you man." Nick said with a smile evident on his face.

"Yeah, I finally figured getting out the house would do me some good." I slid my hands in the back pockets of my jeans and bounced up and down on my toes.

"Honestly, she didn't have a choice." Justin said and I rolled my eyes. Levi laughed alongside Nick.

"So cakes, you prepared to see some magic?" Justin asked, turning to look at me. I saw the excitement in his eyes and I grinned at the view. I found myself nodding and folded my arms on my chest.

"Let's see what you got Hazard." He laughed at my reply and went towards the skate rings.

"I don't know why he keeps on telling himself that he's better than me in skating, I mean I skate in my dreams." Levi commented as he followed Justin.

"That's right, keep dreaming Levi." Nick snickered as he too followed them with his green skateboard. I was laughing so hard as I watched them...

Justin started with his blue skateboard, he went up the skate rail and skated down, making a turn and a small jump as he reached the other end, he was followed by Levi who skated with one leg in the air until he reached the other end, he was using a yellow skateboard. Nick was next and he made a jump in the air, successfully reaching the other end.

"That all you got guys?" I spoke loud enough and Justin laughed as humor lingered in my voice.

"You haven't seen anything cakes." Justin skated and made a 360 turn with his own and soon followed by Nick and Levi who too did their own set styles.

About an hour later, the boys came off the skate rings. I was more than surprised that they all could skate that way, the way each of them showed different styles, each one of them mind blowing.

"That was good." I complimented and Levi laughed a little.

"Well then thank you." He made a bow and I chuckled, earning a small smile from him.

"One thing is for sure, I'm starving" Nick said, his voice almost whiny.

"Lucky for you, we are about to get food." Justin replied as we continued to make way back to the car.

As we made our way to the parking lot, I noticed a big building and overjoyed people going in and out of it. The building had in big bold letters 'Skating Rink'. I totally admired it and I don't know how I missed it when we came here.

It brought back memories of when I visited a skating rink with my dad. I think I was just fourteen at that time. From then, my passion at skating grew bigger and I found myself wanting to learn how to skate well.

My thoughts were stopped by Justin's sudden loud exclaim...

"What the... Where's my car!?"
