Chapter 7
Applejack hummed light-heartedly to herself as she moved each apple in a large, wooden container into a sack for easy transportation. She had to act gingerly, to avoid bruising or harming the apples in any way. Nonetheless, she still bounced lightly and hummed to herself merrily. She was in a good mood because, of course, she had a date with Rainbow Dash that night. She had been looking forward to this earnestly since the night the two of them had embraced their passions for one another. Big Macintosh ambled into the barn and looked, confused, at his sister.
"Hey, sis. You alright?" He asked her. Applejack looked up at him and frowned slightly, puzzled.
"Uh, yeah. Why wouldn't Ah be?" Applejack responded.
"Well, whenever ya work, usually, you don't really do much other than the work. Now Ah'm seein' ya hummin' and dancin' and stuff. Just kinda different, is all." Big Mac elaborated. Applejack harumphed slightly.
"Ah'm fine, Big Mac. What, a mare can't just have a little fun around here once in a while?" She said, irritated.
"Ah didn't mean to anger ya, sis." Big Mac said, putting a hoof up. "Need some help?"
"No, Ah got it." Applejack said. "Thanks." Big Mac nodded.
"Eeeyup." He said before leaving the barn. Applejack continued in her work, now silent and motionless, save for moving the apples. Big Mac had ruined it for her.
'Just who does he think he is?' Applejack thought to herself, furrowing her brow as she moved yet another apple. This expression softened, however, as she realized what she must have seemed like to her older brother. He didn't mean any harm, of course. He was just concerned for his little sister. Applejack left the barn to see Big Mac entering the farm house. She gulped and followed him, intent on apoligizing for he uncharacteristic and rude behavior. Upon entering the house, she layed her eyes upon him, in the kitchen preparing something, most likely a small meal. She slowly walked into the kitchen.
"Hey, uh...Big Mac?" She said with a frown. Big Mac lazily looked at her.
"Eeeyup?" He responded.
"Ah'm uh...Ah'm sorry. Ah shouldn't have snapped at ya like that. You were just concerned and it was uncalled for." Applejack said. Big Macintosh nodded and turned back to what Applejack now saw was a sandwich.
"Ah forgive ya, sis. Ya got that natural Apple Family stubbornness, but ya know when to apoligize." He said with a small smile. He took his sandwich to the dining room table and sat down with it. "Wanna tell me what's on your mind?" Applejack gulped and sat down at the table as well. She pondered this for a second before looking at him.
"Well...Ah think I'm in love." Applejack said. Big Mac's eyebrows raised slightly and he nodded, but he said nothing. "And uh, Ah know Ah've had coltfriends in the past...but this...this is different. Ah actually really do feel for this pony. Now, Ah don't really know if it isactual love, or just a short phase, but it's showed no signs of slowin' down, and every time Ah see this pony, who'll remain nameless for now...Ah dunno, Ah just feel...warm inside...ya know?" Big Macintosh nodded slowly. He sighed before looking at his sister.
"Ah know exactly what ya mean. Ah'm in the same boat as you." He said.
"Ah seriously doubt that." Applejack said.
"No, Ah am. Ah'm feelin' feelings for somepony else too." He said. "Every time Ah see her, Ah get this light feelin' in my stomach....it's, uh..." He cleared his throat. "Cheerilee." Applejack brightened up significantly at this news. Smiling, she said,
"That's great, Big Mac! Ah'm happy for ya." She said. "Ah always thought there was somethin' there between the two of ya."
"Yeah. Whenever Ah go to pick up Applebloom from schoolin', Ah get to see her...Ah haven't really told her about my feelings yet. See, a while ago, Applebloom and her friends tried to set us up for Hearts and Hooves day with a love potion."
"Yeah, Ah think Ah remember that." Applejack said.
"Well, it failed, and me and Cheerilee parted ways as friends...but Ah didn't wanna be just her friend. So, Ah've been dealin' with these feelings, and they won't quit buggin' me. Every time Ah feel like I'm gonna finally tell her, Ah puss out." Big Macintosh said. Applejack was half sympathetic and half astonished. She had rarely seen Big Mac open up like this to Granny Smith, let alone herself. He was a stallion of few words, to be sure. She walked over to him and patted his shoulder.
"It'll be okay, Big Mac. Ah think she likes you too, from what Ah've seen." She said to him.
"Thanks, sis. Ah appreciate it." He said. She nodded and went back to the other side of the table and sat down once again.
"So, why won't ya tell me whoyour crush is?" Big Mac asked his sister.
"Well, somethin tells me that nopony here would be too pleased to hear about mycrush..." Applejack said, looking down at the table.
"Ah...so you're a..." Big Mac said before leaning in closer to her and dropping his voice. "fillyfooler?" Applejack began coughing roughly, eyes widened. She looked to the side, blushing intensely. The coughing subsided eventually and she breathed heavily.
"Pssh...uh, no! Ah've had coltfriends, remember?!" Applejack said, slightly outraged. Despite her outrage, he was in fact telling half the truth. She was in love with a mare, but she wasn't only attracted to mares. Big Mac put up a hoof.
"Okay, okay. Ah just can't see why you'd want to hide whoever he is from me. Ah wouldn't judge ya over it, anyways." Applejack looked to the side and blushed. "So...who is he?" He asked her. Applejack opened her mouth to speak before shutting it again.
"He's..." Applejack began, but felt a noticeable tinge of guilt overtake her. Rainbow Dash, however tomcoltish she was known to be, was still decisively feminine. To lie to Big Macintosh about her made her feel like a coward. It felt like an insult to Rainbow, even. Applejack sighed and swallowed her shame. "He's the r-rough kinda type. Ah d-don't think y'all would appreciate him v-very much." She stuttered, trying her hardest to hide the lie. Applejack felt awful about herself. Not only had she principally betrayed Rainbow Dash, but she had broken her element of harmony on her own volition. She frowned as Big Mac nodded.
"Well, Ah'm not quite sure Ah know anypony from around here that's like that. But, if ya really have feelings for him, Ah say go for it. Just be careful." Big Mac said. "But if he hurts you in any way..."
"Don't worry about that, Big Mac..." Applejack said looking downwards in shame. "He won't."
_____
Rainbow Dash jumped out of her cloud bed and ran into her bathroom. She cringed slightly as a small pain in her ribs reminded her of her experiences the previous night. But, her date with Applejack was drawing near, and she could hardly contain her excitement. She went through her daily routine of a shower, then brushed her teeth. She combed her mane the customary one time a day to keep it looking the way it should. Rainbow then rushed into her kitchen and poured herself a bowl of hay oats, devouring them quickly. Tank came trucking into the dining room, his food bowl in his mouth. Rainbow Dash had forgotten to feed him. She saw this and mentally kicked herself.
"Sorry, Tank. Honest mistake. I just can't really seem to focus. I'm too excited!" She said, a large grin on her face as she poured reptile chow into Tank's bowl. He lazily began to eat as Rainbow put her bowl in the sink to wash later that day. She inhaled sharply, and walked toward her door. She was ready for her date. Her heart pounded as she began to open her door she realized one pure, simple, inescapable fact:
It was still the morning.
Rainbow had gotten so worked up and excited about her date, she had forgotten that it was that evening. She sighed to herself.
"Nice, Rainbow Dash..." She whispered as she closed the door. She walked back to the dining room table and sat back down. Tank looked up at her slowly. She frowned at him. "What're you looking at?" Tank went back to his food, ceasing to pay the slightly frustrated Pegasus any mind. Rainbow stood up from the chair and walked back to her bedroom. She eyed the new Daring Do novel on her bedside table. She had only read about a quarter of the story. She shrugged as she approached her bed.
"Eh, might as well." She began to read. The book was very interesting, as Rainbow Dash knew the Daring Do novels to be. She saw Tank approaching the bed, now finished with his meal. "You want up?" She said to him. He merely stood at the side of the bed, looking up at her. She smiled as she lifted him up onto the bed with her. He layed down next to her as she continued to read. Daring Do was always a nice distraction from the outside world, so fearless, so...daring. Much like Rainbow herself.
Her thoughts eventually wandered, however, the product of time passing and boredom getting a better foothold in the pegasus' mind as time did pass. Her mind wandered to Applejack, and the fun they would have that night. She blushed and smiled at the thought of her and Applejack together once again, roaming around Ponyville as a couple. She then thought of Applejack's hints of hesitancy to be seen publicly with her, which she understood, but was frustrated by nonetheless. She spontaneously groaned out loud, scaring Tank. Her tortoise instantly went inside his shell.
"Why can't it just be simple?" She said to herself. (And possibly Tank, if he was still listening.) She stood and walked back into her kitchen and looked at the clock. It was currently eleven thirty-two.
"Right." She said, looking behind her at Tank, who had just caught up to her from the bedroom. She nodded at him. "I'll just pace. Time always goes by faster when I pace around a bit." Rainbow Dash then began to pace. She paced back and forth through her kitchen, not once looking at her clock. She did not slow or relent, she endlessly paced, Tank watching her from her doorway. She paced for what seemed to be at least twenty minutes. She finally stopped and looked up at her clock. It was eleven thirty-six. She looked back at Tank briefly in disbelief before turning back to her clock.
"How is that even possible!?"
_____
Applejack cleared her throat as she put a red tie into her long flowing mane, keeping it together. She appraised herself in the mirror, examining herself for any imperfections or blemishes. She found none. Applejack definitely wasn't one to boast, but she was quite beautiful. She smiled at herself as she donned her stetson. The evening was approaching and she would have to get to Sugarcube Corner soon to meet Rainbow Dash. Applejack smiled even wider at the thought of Rainbow. She walked through her house, preparing to leave. Granny Smith raised a hoof.
"Where ya goin' Applejack?" The old mare asked her granddaughter. Applejack turned to her.
"Oh, uh, Ah was just goin' to t-town to see Twilight. Maybe check out a book. Just feelin' a little c-cooped up, is all." Applejack responded nervously. A white lie was still a lie, and she was terrible at lying. Big Macintosh looked at her slowly. She cleared her throat as she looked down and scuffed a hoof on the welcome mat. Granny Smith nodded.
"Okay, sweetie. But don't stay outside too long. It's chilly out there." She said. Applejack nodded.
"Ah will, Granny. See y'all later!" She said before walking quickly away from the house.
"Applejack!" She heard her brother say from the porch. She slowly walked back to the house, only for Big Mac to hold out a red scarf for her. "Forgot your scarf." He smiled. Applejack nodded and put the scarf on.
"See ya, Big Mac." She said.
"Be safe, sis." He responded with a wink as Applejack turned and walked down the path again. The cold air chilled her as the sun began to set for the day. Being late Fall, the sun set very early every day. Arriving in Ponyville, she waved to a few ponies she knew, smiling warmly. She ambled through the streets, quietly humming to herself. She adored Ponyville, to be sure. Everyone was so nice, welcoming and accepting of so many things. So accepting, in fact, it made her wonder whether or not the town would accept her and Rainbow Dash as a couple. She certainly cared for Rainbow a great deal, and she wanted her to be happy, but she wasn't sure what would become of herself if the town knew.
Applejack finally arrived at her destination of Sugarcube Corner. She entered the eatery, surveying the place for Rainbow Dash. Finally, she layed her eyes upon the Pegasus, sitting at a table, looking up at the ceiling. She smiled as she approached the table.
"Ah believe that this is the first time Ah've seen ya actually on time for somethin'." Applejack said. Rainbow Dash brightened up significantly at the sound of Applejack's voice. She stood and hugged her, Applejack returning the hug.
"Hey, Applejack." Rainbow said, separating from Applejack.
"Heya, Rainbow." Applejack responded, grinning.
"You look great." Rainbow said. Applejack chuckled and raised an eyebrow.
"That's the best you could come up with?"
"Well...I...come on, it's true." Applejack blushed and smiled. They sat down and looked at each other for a moment. Applejack looked around, seeing who else exactly was there. Aside from a few random ponies, they were alone.
"Pinkie Pie's off today. I checked. She's actually sleeping upstairs." Rainbow said with a small snicker. "She was up all night last night because of the movie!" Applejack laughed.
"Well, Ah don't exactly blame her. It was pretty scary." Applejack said.
"Pssh. It wasn't that scary." Rainbow responded, smirking and crossing her front legs cooly.
"See, you keep sayin' that like you didn't bury your face into my shouler." Applejack said, chuckling.
"I was just having a little fun. I wanted to get in close for a little kiss, but you stopped it halfway through." Rainbow said. Applejack's stomach jumped. Anypony could have heard what Rainbow had said. Rainbow noticed her nervousness, leaned in close to her and whispered- "Youdid make up for it, though." Applejack blushed at the thought of their kiss the previous night. At that moment, Mrs. Cake approached their table.
"Good evening, ladies." She said. "Are we ready to order?"
"Um, yeah. I'll have the daffodil sandwich." Rainbow said.
"Ah'll just have your fruits and caramel. Leave the pears out." Applejack said. Mrs. Cake nodded before leaving to prepare their food. Applejack turned back to Rainbow. "You really like your daffodil sandwiches, don't ya?" Rainbow smirked.
"I could say the same to you about fruit." The pegasus responded.
"Are you wearin' perfume?" Applejack asked, smirking. Rainbow turned beat red as she looked to the side.
"Uh...no. Come on, it's like you don't even know me!" Applejack raised an eyebrow and looked straight at the pegasus. "Okay, okay, fine. Yes, I'm wearing perfume. Yes, I know it's girly. It was a gift from Rarity for my birthday, okay? I should've known that you'd find it dumb."
"Ah don't, Rainbow." Applejack said.
"Huh?" Rainbow responded in slight disbelief.
"Ah think it's sweet. A little unlike you, but sweet." The farm mare said. Rainbow blushed heavily and rubbed the back of her head.
"It was just a couple of sprays anyway." Rainbow said. "I just figured I'd try it out."
"It's nice." Appleajack commented. Rainbow smiled.
"I'm glad you think so. I'd only do it for you." The pegasus said. Applejack smiled and blushed as they looked at each other for a few moments.
"So..." Applejack said. "Our first date...shapin' up alright so far, I suppose."
"You know, this could be considered our second date." Rainbow said. "Seeing as how we went to dinner and a movie last night, not to mention the kiss." Rainbow raised an eyebrow and looked at Applejack in a way that, if she was standing, would have made her weak in the knees. The farm mare didn't show it, however and continued to look Rainbow in the eyes.
"But Twilight, Fluttershy and Pinkie were there. It wasn't just the two of us." She responded.
"Yeah, but it might as well have been." Rainbow said. "We only really even talked to each other for most of the night." Applejack chuckled.
"Maybe so, maybe so." She said as Mrs. Cake returned with their food. The (literally) sweet-looking mare layed their plates before them gingerly.
"Enjoy, girls. Always a pleasure." She said happily before leaving them. Rainbow and Applejack began to eat, enjoying their food and looking at each other occasionally, enjoying lighthearted conversation. Applejack noticed a few pears in her fruit bowl.
"Well Ah'll be a..." Applejack said, slightly frustrated.
"What is it?" Rainbow asked her.
"Ah told her to leave out the pears." Applejack said. "Be right back, sugarcube." Applejack took the bowl and walked toward the front counter of the eatery and went to ring the service bell. She stopped when she heard the cakes talking in the back, believing they were unheard.
"Did you hear about Lyra and Bon Bon, dear?" Mrs. Cake said to her husband, who was undoubtedly cooking or baking some culinary item.
"No, I didn't. What about them?" He responded.
"They're...a couple." She said to him. Mr. Cake made a sound of disgust.
"No way! Ugh, that's horrible." He said.
"I saw them kiss for a second in the middle of town!" Mrs. Cake said.
"I might vomit in my mouth." He responded. "No consideration. It's so wrong."
"So unnatural." Mrs. Cake said.
"I saw Applejack and Rainbow Dash walk in here together. You don't think-"
"Noooo...we've both seen them here with stallions. They're just here as friends. They're not...like that."
"I suppose so. I guess I'm just being paranoid." He said. Applejack felt a sinking feeling in her stomach. She frowned as she turned away from the counter and walked back to their table quickly. Rainbow smiled at her.
"They didn't replace it?" She asked.
"No. Ah just didn't see it worth causin' a fuss over." Applejack said, looking to the side, the warm blush noticeably absent from her face. Rainbow frowned.
"Hey...are you okay?" She asked.
"Ah'm fine. Don't worry about me." Applejack said. "Let's just finish up here and go." Rainbow put a hoof on Applejack's, making the farm mare look up at her.
"Tell me." Rainbow said, worry lacing her facial features. Applejack sighed.
"Well, Ah was takin' this back up there, and Ah overheard the Cakes talkin' about Lyra and Bon Bon."
"What were they saying?" Rainbow asked her.
"Ah didn't know about this, but apparently, they're together." Applejack said.
"Well that's nice." Rainbow said. "They're pretty much made for each other." Applejack put a hoof up.
"And from what Ah heard, and Ah heard a lot, it seems like the Cakes aren't too keen on fillyfoolin'...at all." Applejack said. "Ah dunno, it just kinda hurt, Ah guess. They were sayin how disgustin' and horrible it was. Ah just didn't really want to see 'em at the moment." Rainbow's brow furrowed.
"Well then, we've got a problem." She said, standing up, undoubtedly going to confront the Cakes about their comments. Applejack quickly stood and put a hoof on Rainbow's shoulder.
"Please, Dash...don't do that. Ah don't wanna be startin' any conflicts." Applejack said.
"But th-"
"Please, Dash, for me." Applejack said, looking behind herself a moment to make sure noone was looking. She placed a small kiss upon Rainbow's lips. "Let's just go. We're obviously not wanted here." Rainbow huffed.
"Fine." The pegasus said. At that moment, Mrs. Cake walked in to see them standing there. Rainbow Dash scowled at her.
"Is everything okay?"
"We'll take the check." Applejack said. They received the check and approached the front counter with it. Mr. Cake went to the register and began adding up the different prices for their final total.
"Okay, that'll be eight bits, please." He said. Applejack paid the stallion and began to walk out of the small eatery. She stopped when she noticed Rainbow wasn't accompanying her. She looked back at Rainbow, who still stood at the counter, staring at Mr. Cake.
"Uh...is there something else I can help you with, Rainbow Dash?" He said nervously.
"Nope." Rainbow said, beginning to turn toward the door. She stopped and turned back to him. "Oh, yeah, right. Did you hear about Lyra and Bon Bon? I'm really happy for them." Mr. Cake frowned.
"Uhh..."
"I actually believe that there's love out there for everypony, and everypony deserves love, no matter who it's with." She said.
"Well, you are completely entitled to your opinion, Rainbow Dash, but I do not agree with you."
"Why?" She said, tilting her head slightly. "Well, the reasons are pretty obvious, but tell me anyway."
"It's not natural. It's immoral, and it's disgusting." He said. "They're deluded individuals looking for attention, is what they are. What they do...it's just wrong."
"Well, who are you to say what's right and what's wrong?" Rainbow said to him.
"I don't think of myself any higher than anypony else, but it's pretty easy to see." He said, furrowing his brow.
"That's not what you sound like right now. You sound like you think fillyfoolers are some subspecies to be looked down on. That they shouldn't exist. You sound like a bigot." Rainbow said, getting increasingly agitated. Applejack's stomach dropped again. This was not good.
"Why are you so interested?" Mr. Cake asked her.
"Because Lyra and Bon Bon are friends of mine, that's why." Rainbow responded. "And I don't want to listen to you verbally abuse them behind their backs. If you've got something to say to them, pony up and tell them to their faces."
"You may call me a bigot until you run out of breath, but I still don't approve of your friends' lifestyle." He said.
"You honestly think they care what you think?!" Rainbow yelled, slamming a hoof on the counter, making Mr. Carrot Cake jump. Applejack grabbed Rainbow by the shoulder.
"Ah think we'll just be leavin' now. Come on, Rainbow, we're late to meet the others." Applejack said, pulling Rainbow out of the building. They started to walk through Ponyville in relative silence. They exited Ponyville and continued to walk for a while.
"What were you thinkin'?" Applejack finally said to her as they entered the fields outside Ponyville, the last stop of their date. "You could have gotten us kicked outta there." Rainbow looked at her sadly.
"Applejack, don't you get it?" Rainbow said. "That was usthat twig was talking about. Not just Lyra and Bon Bon."
"Of course Ah get it. That's why it hurt me. Let's just forget about it and move on. He ain't worth the trouble." Applejack said.
"That's my point. He hurt you. That's what gets me the most of all." Rainbow responded. "I don't want to see you hurt." Rainbow moved closer to Applejack. "That hurts me." She planted her lips on Applejack's. Applejack, however, immediately broke the kiss.
"Woah, Rainbow, hold on. It's still pretty early." Applejack said. "There could still be ponies out here."
"It's just a kiss..." Rainbow said. "It doesn't matter anyway...I saw you look to see if anypony was watching back at Sugarcube Corner. Let's just keep walking." Rainbow's voice was laced with sadness and disappointment, but she didn't let it show in her face. She began walking again, moving ahead of Applejack.
"Rainbow..." Applejack started.
"No, it's okay. I understand. You're still kind of hesitant to be together publically. Let's keep walking. No hard feelings." Rainbow said, turning to Applejack. The sadness was seemingly gone, and Rainbow was smiling. Applejack smiled back as she caught up to the pegasus.
"So," Applejack said to Rainbow. "Did ya always know you went both ways?"
"Kinda." Rainbow said to her. "I would feel attraction to mares as well as stallions, but I would always just ignore them. The night you kissed me, and we...you know, I just had a sort of revelation. Now I know it. What about you?"
"Ah was never really above sayin' a mare was pretty...perhaps Ah even really thought so myself sometimes, too. But, Ah can say with all honesty, the only mare Ah've ever really been attracted to is you." Applejack said. She looked in the corner of her eye to see that they were a decent distance away from Ponyville. "And Ah amreally attracted to you." Applejack then kissed Rainbow, the pegasus returning the kiss. The kiss went on for half a minute. Applejack, feeling like she had to make up for hurting Rainbow Dash's feelings, intensified the kiss, pushing Rainbow onto her back and slipping her tongue into her mouth. Rainbow did the same, thouroughly enjoying it, but somehow feeling unfulfilled. Nonetheless, she continued to kiss Applejack, finding solace in the fact that the public would know about them some time or other.
Rainbow put her hooves on Applejack's shoulders and pulled her down until her body rested on top of hers. Applejack then began to kiss her neck, pausing occasionally to suck lightly, the smell of Rainbow's perfume spurring her on. Rainbow moaned, throwing her head back and closing her eyes. She mustered up all of her strength and resolve to fly out from underneath Applejack, making the farm mare fall to the ground. Hovering above her Rainbow snickered, despite how utterly turned on she was.
"How about that race?" The pegasus said confidently, smirking down at Applejack cooly and confidently. Applejack smiled and stood up.
"You little tease." She said before pointing a hoof at her. "You're on!" Rainbow Dash drew a line in the dirt with her hoof.
"From here to the other side of the field, up on that rise." Rainbow said, pointing to their distant destination. Applejack nodded.
"Let's do this, lightweight." She said. Rainbow scoffed.
"Puh-lease. I'm totally going to win! I even swear that I won't use my wings." Rainbow said. Applejack raised an eyebrow.
"Ah'll believe it when Ah see it." She said. They lined up at the start and looked at each other.
"Ready..." Rainbow said. Applejack bent down, prepared to sprint forward with all of her might. "Set...GO!" They both came out of the starting line blazing, running at top speed, eyes focused only on the finish. They sprinted mightily toward the finish, putting everything they had into the race. Rainbow Dash managed to get ahead of Applejack enough to run straight in front of her.
"How's the view from back there, Farm Pony?!" Rainbow teasingly shouted. Applejack smiled as she moved forward and kissed Rainbow's cutie mark. Rainbow gasped at the unexpected gesture as she slowed down slightly, allowing Applejack to take the lead. Applejack laughed. Rainbow couldn't help but laugh as well as she caught up to Applejack. They ran neck and neck, one not able to pull ahead of the other. They both looked at each other, no longer focusing on the goal, but each other. They looked into each other's eyes as they crossed the finish line, and as they slowed down and came to a stop next to each other. Rainbow kissed Applejack before they began to walk back to Ponyville.
"I totally won." Rainbow said.
"No you didn't." Applejack said. "Ah remember putting just a little bit more effort in at the end. Ah won."
"I did that too." Rainbow said. "But whatever did happen, it's kinda late, and I have to go to work tomorrow." Applejack nodded.
"Ah had a lot of fun." She said. "More fun than Ah've had in a long time."
"Definitely." Rainbow said. "I'll see you later." She began to fly away before Applejack stopped her.
"Rainbow, wait." She said. "Ah really am sorry for the way Ah've been actin'. Ah just...Ah'm not ready for us to be public yet, y'know?" Rainbow nodded and smiled at her.
"Yeah. I get it, Applejack. It's fine." She said. "It's kinda selfish to expect you to just be ready to reveal it to everypony. It's okay, really."
"Thanks, Rainbow. Ah really would like to do this again sometime." Applejack said to her. Rainbow nodded.
"Me too. I'll come visit you at the orchard tomorrow after I get off work and we can talk about it then." She said. She kissed Applejack before going into a hover. "Good night, Applejack."
"Good night, Rainbow." Applejack said to Rainbow Dash before the pegasus flew back toward her cloud home. Applejack smiled as she blew Rainbow a kiss.
