Chapter Two

Once Xavier and I got home last night we ate dinner and then went to bed. I still can’t believe that he got attacked. But he didn’t turn so that I was thankful for. If he did, he could have risked being exposed to the new boy. And that would be hard to explain to someone who isn’t like us. I opened up my eyes and the time says 6:45. I got up and took a shower then made Xavier and I some breakfast. “Is that bacon I smell?” He asked wrapping his arms around me. “You are correct.” I said and turned around. I gave him a peck on the lips and gave him some bacon and toast. “I have basketball practice so you need to drive your car today.” I told him and sat down. “Will do.” He smiled at me. He walked to the fridge getting a piece of pie. I laughed extremely loud. And he started to laugh with me. “Really? Pie this early?” I laughed harder. “Hell yes.” He said and sat down at the island. He loves that pie so much. He would marry that thing instead of me if he could. I got up and grabbed my gym bag. “I’ll see you at school.” I told him and gave him a kiss. He pulled me closer and I dropped my bag. I wrapped my arms around his waist pushing him up on the island. His soft pink plum lips are so damn hot. I lick his bottom lip and bit it. Pulling on it, he let out a soft moan. That turned me on quick. I slipped in my tongue and our tongues met. He slips his hands up my shirt. His hands glide along my abs and I begin to kiss his neck. I sucked on his neck leaving a hickie. “You ass.” He slapped my arm. I started laughing. “Wear a hoodie today. No one needs to see that.” I wink at him and walk out of the house.

I laughed at the text and put my phone in my pocket so I could drive. I made it to the school and headed to the locker room dropping off my bag into my locker. I look over and Callum is wearing sunglasses. “Hangover?” I asked. “Don’t shout!” He shouted at me. “I am not shouting.” I informed him. He laid his head against the bench. “So how was the party?” I asked. “Good until I drunk way too much and hooking up with some girl who I don’t remember her name.” He informed me. I looked at him and laughed. “Did you use protection?” I asked. “I don’t remember.” He responded. I rolled my eyes and pulled him off the floor. We walked out into the gym and started practice. Practice is always the death of me. Coach Carter makes us run so much in the morning. Then after school, he makes us run plays. I mean we are always the best in the state each year. So I understand why he makes us work so hard. “Alright you little pansy asses, start stretching for five minutes and get to running!” Coach yelled. I started stretching my legs. “I feel like I am going to be sick.” Callum mumbled. “I got this.” I winked at him. I looked over at the coach and seen he is looking away. I punched Callum straight in the stomach. “What the hell! You mother-“He started to shout but I interrupted. “Coach Carter! Callum has a stomach ache. I am going to take him to the nurse.” I informed. “Fucking drunk bastards.” He shook his head and waved us off. “You are a complete ass you know that?” Callum said looking at me. “I know.” I winked at him. I carried him into the nurse’s office. “Ryder, did you punch him again?” Asked Nurse Carol. “He is hung over and Coach won’t let him leave otherwise. So I did what I had to do.” I smiled at her. She rolled her eyes and laid Callum down. Nurse Carol is Callum’s aunt. She lived here all her life. This is here she feels safe at so she had to do what she had to do. I shut the door and closed the blind. “Just heal him so we can get back to practice.” I demanded. She laid one hand on his forehead and one on his stomach and started talking gibberish. I seriously have no idea what language witch is. It sounds like gibberish to me. He started to scream. “What did you do?” I asked running over to cover his mouth. “I healed him. And I sort of gave him pain that feels like hell for drinking underage and drinking on a school night.” She smiled at me and walked towards her desk. “How long does the pain last?” I looked at her raising an eyebrow. “Only a minute.” She said typing on her computer. Callum stopped screaming and stared at his aunt with a death look. “How rude of you to do that to me.” He said and pulled me out of the nurse’s office. “Bye boys!” She shouted. I started laughing hysterically. “Don’t make me do it.” He said in anguish. “Got it screamer.” I laughed more. “Do you sound like that in bed?” I asked still laughing. He threw me down the hallway with his mind. “I told you don’t make me do it.” He laughed. “Whoa don’t hurt each other.” Said a girl standing behind Callum. Who the hell is she? I never seen her before. Callum’s eyes widen. He turns around and stares at her. “You!” They said to each other at the same time and started laughing. “Ok am I missing something?” I asked looking confused. “This is the girl that I… Um yeah at the party last night.” Callum informed me. “Wait why haven’t I seen you here before?” I asked. “Oh that’s because I just transferred from Lovington High and I start today. I just left the principal’s office and trying to find my locker.” She smiled at us. “So what’s your name new girl?” I asked. “Riaan.” She greeted us. “I am Ryder.” I shook her hand. “You are engaged too? I met this guy last night at a coffee shop, and he had a ring on his finger. He pretty hot too.” She laughed. “Yeah that’s my fiancé.” I smiled at her giving her the death look. “Really?! OH MY GOD! Two hottest guys I seen, besides Callum, are getting married! Sorry I am so fangirling right now!” She laughed harder. I rolled my eyes. “So why you guys dressed like basketball players?” She asked looking at the both of us. “Is it obvious? You just said so yourself.” Callum said sarcastically. She slaps his arm playfully and laughed. “Sorry I am not the smartest apple in the tree.” She giggled. I see Xavier walking in with Shay and Jeremy laughing. I stared at them trying to figure out what they were laughing at. Riaan gave me a weird look and looked behind her and looked back at me. “Are you trying to listen on what they are trying to say? That is so disrespectful.” She winks at me. Callum looks at her and so do I. “What are you talking about?” I asked nervously. “You are a wolf and you are a witch.” She smiles at us. I and Callum look at each other. “Don’t worry I won’t tell. I have a secret myself.” Riaan smiled at us. “You are kidding right?” I asked her awkwardly. “I am a dev. I can tell when wolfs or any animal are running through my woods.” She informs us. “What the hell is a Dev?” I asked. “A Dev is a nature spirt. So I can make plants grow, make trees grow, water trees and plants, basically anything do with nature.” She informed us once again. Really? What new mythological creature is going to come into this school? I wonder what else is going to come, Vampires. Horses? Unicorns? This town is crazy. “Good job Callum.” I said and punched him in the arm. “Hey babe.” Xavier said giving me a kiss. “Hey party girl!” Xavier turned to Riaan. “She knows about us.” I told Xavier. He turned at me and turned to her. “Wait Xavier is human.” Riaan said looking confused. “That is where you are wrong baby cakes.” Callum winked at her. She turned to Callum and back at Xavier. “I am a banshee. Then this dimwit mated with me and when he marked me I about died and so my sister had to heal me. Making me turn into a Coyote.” He smiled at her. “Oh my god. So did not see that one coming.” She started to giggle. “Don’t tell anyone or I will have to kill you.” Xavier informed her. He gave me another kiss and walked away. “Now I am scared.” Riaan gulped. “I’ll leave you two love birds alone and go catch my own bird.” I told Callum and Riaan. They giggled and I walked off. I ran up to Xavier pushing him against the locker. He jumped in fear until he learned it was me. “You have been a bad boy.” I whispered in his ear. “Have I now? Am I in trouble Mr. Fritz?” He asked me giggling. “You are so in trouble.” I whispered back into his ear. I licked down his neck and he moaned in pleasure. “No PDA boys!” Bay yelled. “Sorry Ms. Fallon. He is just so irresistible.” I winked at her. “Do you want a detention?” She crossed her arms. “No thanks.” I said walking into her class.
