Chapter 11
*Tam's POV*
"What about March?" Calum sighed from the other side of the screen during our Skype call and I thought about it for a second.
"My 21st is on the tenth, so we can always join them up," I suggested and he eagerly nodded.
"Is it weird that I just want to be able to call you my wife? It's weird isn't it? I mean we're only going to be 21," Calum rambled and I stopped him with a giggle.
"No, age is a number and in this day and age there's no such thing as too young. After what happened with the accident we need to grab life with both hands," I reasoned with a small smile and he nodded.
"This is why I love you."
"Shush," I giggled, before we slowly fell back into our usual conversations that normally consisted mostly of Calum's dorky remarks and sass

*Megan's POV*
Australia had been amazing this past month, but I was ready for my time off to just chill, write an album and enjoy being a teenager for what little time I had left to be one.
As we landed in the airport in Edinburgh, it took everything in me not to launch myself out of the plane. The three of us were not so calm in making our way to the arrival gate once we had fished our suitcases from the conveyer belt.
The cold air of Scotland was already seeping into my skin before we even made it out of the airport. My eyes ran and jumped around looking for the almost full car that would be waiting for us outside the airport. The guys were going to be waiting in the car to stop a commotion happening since people assumed we would all be flying to London, not home to Edinburgh.
The grey atmosphere could not dampen any of our moods as a large black mini van pulled up outside the airport terminal doors. A pale hand appeared sliding the door open and my heart bounced recognising the familiar tattoos that littered the skin, an all too recognisable anchor on his thumb. The group of us walked quickly trying not to run to the car.
A guard in black sunglasses helped us put our suitcases in the back before we all got in the van, Michael sliding the door closed once more. I smiled as he turned to me and before he said anything I had each side of his face in my hands and was pulling him into me for a long kiss. It would have been awkward, but I knew the other couples were doing much the same.
After a few moments we both pulled away and I smiled up at him, snuggling down into his side. I then looked across from us, seeing Luke glancing at us before returning his eyes to the phone screen in front of him.
"I think we need to stage an intervention," I whispered into Michael's ear before subtly nodding to Luke, who was obliviously tapping away on his phone. As far as I knew, he had a few friends up here that he was going to stay with while the rest of the boys were coming to stay with our families. I was kind of nervous about Michael coming round to mine, because it would be his first time he had been around my family for more than a couple of hours, and also his first time meeting my grandparents.
Michael nodded in agreement as the van began to drive through the familiar streets of Edinburgh and I smiled happly to myself as I recognized each and every street of home. Tamara lived on the port side edge of Leith, and as we reached her home first, Calum and herself were the first to depart from our group, waving to us before grabbing their luggage and walking up to the front door of Tam's dad's flat together.
Next was Ellen and Ashton, who each had a hand over the growing baby bump in Ellen's stomach. Their plan was to tell the fans this week, in the form of a video on YouTube, as far as I was aware. All I really knew was that we were all too excited with ourselves for baby Irwin to arrive. We soon dropped them off in Seafield, and then Luke on Princes Street until it was just Michael and I left in the mini van with Dan the security man.
It wasn't long before we arrived at Bruntsfield and the flat I had bought for my parents and Alyssa with earnings from the Where We Are tour. We thanked the mini van driver and Dan before grabbing our suitcases and making our way to the front door, as I opened it with my keys.
It seemed strangely quiet as we walked up the short flight of steps to get to the actual door of the flat, and I unlocked the door, Michael following close behind me as we walked into the flat. My whole family was there, and I smiled as Alyssa ran up to us.
"Meggie! Mikey!" She smiled widely as I picked her up into my arms and balanced her on my hip, blowing a raspberry onto her cheek. She reached for Michael over my shoulder and he took her, happily sitting her on his shoulders. She giggled like crazy, telling our parents and grandparents about how she had become a giant.
I shook my head and giggled at the pair before walking over to my family and giving them all tight hugs. I introduced my grandparents to Michael, who had gently placed Alyssa back on the ground and had kissed my grandmother's cheek and was reaching to nervously shake my grandfather's hand when the elder pulled him into a hug and chuckled.
"We're glad Megan's found someone," My grandmother smiled and Michael nodded in agreement as he stood by my side once more. As the night continued on with dinner, Michael began to loosen up, chatting away to my parents and grandparents about touring and guitars. My grandfather used to work for Gibson, designing the guitar bodies, so it was good that there was common ground.
It felt great to know that Michael and my family could get along. I was a family person, and that was something in the past that Ryan neglected. With Michael, it was different. He was the one, my only one, and I couldn't be more grateful. The past was the past and we were working on our present and future.
That's the moment that I realised he was my story. My forever.
