March 17, 2017.

March 17, 2017: Today was Friday, but the fair is tomorrow. The high school's principal was letting us participate. We were setting up today. Charles and his friend's are letting Savannah and I help out. It's kind of our job to raise the money, so there's that. We put up advertisements all over town, so hopefully, a lot of people will show up tomorrow.

"Max, come here!" Charles called from the already falling apart booth. I walked over curiously. "Hold this." He held out a metal bar. I grabbed it. I was almost dragged to the ground because it was so heavy. Charles started laughing, I glared as I held it up to the best of my abilities. One of his friends, Damian, I think, walked over and took the bar from me. I quickly escaped the area because his friends kind of freak me out.

"Fancy meeting you here, Maxy," Alex's voice rang clear in my ears. He was right behind me. My eyes widened slightly, why is he always around at the worst times? "What, are you not happy to see me?" He frowned jokingly then quickly grinned. "I'm here to offer help."

"I'd rather you not," I replied, walking farther forward to get away from him.

"I have to. My grandma left and Savannah asked me to." He shrugged, stuffing his hands in his pockets. I sighed in frustration.

"Fine. Go see if Charles needs help, I guess," I agreed, motioning over to my brother, who was about to fall off of his friend's back. I was about to call out when he actually fell. I sighed, bowing my head. "Great, are you okay?" Charles gave a thumbs up from where he was laying on the ground. "Idiot," I muttered and went to find Savannah.

"Sup Max?" Savannah grinned from atop a ladder. I looked up at her.

"What are you doing?" I crossed my arms.

"Putting up a poster!" Savannah grinned.

"Then why are you looking down?"

"'Cause you're distracting me." She replied, then went back to messing with one of the edges. The poster was on the side of the school, right above one of the doors.

"So, you told Alex to come help?" I asked.

"Mhmm, why?" Savannah questioned. I simply shrugged, though she didn't see it. "There we go." She sighed and climbed down. I looked at the poster.

"It's not straight," I commented. "'Kinda like you." I joked, grinning. She glared at me. I smiled innocently.

"How am I supposed to fix this?" Savannah stared at the poster and groaned in frustration. "Tell me when I have it straight." She ordered and went all the way back up.

After a really long time of messing with it, we had finally fixed it and it was perfect. "'Kay, you can come down now," I called with a nod. She slid carefully down the ladder. We high-fived. "Boom!" I cheered.

"Max! What's taking so long?!" Charles yelled as he walked over. I swiveled around on my heel to look at him.

"What do you mean, it's been like five minutes?" I questioned, tilting my head.

"It's been like an hour!" Charles' voice raised threateningly as his eyebrows knitted together.

"Seriously?!" I gasped in surprise.

"Yeah, we were supposed to take Savannah home a half hour ago! Come on!" He insisted and dragged us both back to his car. I'm assuming Alex and Charles' friends went home already because they weren't here now
