April 21, 2017: I finally found this freaking book, Christ! I lost it before I could talk about the eighteenth of March. I can try and recap the events...
March 18, 2017: I don't remember too much from that day, but Alex came to help again. We gave out prizes to people who won the games at our booth. Savannah, Alex, and I mostly went around helping everyone. Charles and his friends were watching the booth. My mom brought us lunch, which we really didn't need because there was plenty of food here, but didn't stay long after. Marzia showed up for all of a half hour with her boyfriend, but she didn't help us at all, in fact, she was just in the way and being rude. Dad was working all day, so he was a no-show in general. We earned about 700 dollars that day because of the profit share, but anything is something, right?
April. 1, 2017: Remember the bake sale? Well, someone brought all 8,000 dollars and the container back! Now we had a total of 11,200 dollars. (Mental note: 2,500 + 8,000 + 700 =11,200). We're getting there. Only about... 38,800 dollars to go. (50,000 - 11,200 =38,800). So yeah, we're doing pretty good. Dr. Pepper wants to do another bake sale.
We earned a lot from the dance this month, 3,800 dollars after paying the DJ guy. Now we only have 35,000 dollars to go.
I sighed quietly as I stared at the numbers. That's really not that good... There's still a really big difference...
"Sup dude?" Savannah greeted as she walked into view of our traditional hiding spot. I waved back, without even looking up from my journal. "Writing? Again?" She teased and sat beside me on the log. I shrugged. "You're writing about what's happening right now?" She asked with a slightly annoyed voice. I shrugged once more. "Why?"
"So my future self will remember this," I answered.
"What exactly are you trying to help your 'future self' remember?"
"How we're helping the school and the school year."
"Alright then," She nodded. "I better hurry to my bus. See, ya, Max." She got up and left.
"Later!" I waved dismissively. I was too focused for my own good.
