•Chapter 8•
Maroon's POV
We finally had a plan. And I was the key figure.
Since I was the only one that Levi didn't hurt, we concluded that he wouldn't even protect himself if I tried to attack him.
So I need to quickly learn how to seal Levi back and get Ethan and the others back in control.
I quickly followed Lisa to her lab. Apparently she's sort of like a witch, so she'll be teaching me.
We finally made it to her lab, which was huge. There were bookshelves all along the walls, each packed with books. In the middle of the room was a large cleared space with some kind of witchy circle, surrounded by candles. In the corner of the room, was a cauldron, that was filled with some kind of purple liquid.
"Oi!" Lisa snapped her fingers in front of my face. "We don't have time to daydream here. Now come on."
I followed her to the circle. She turned around and grabbed some thing off a pedestal.
When she turned back towards me, in her hands was a strange, ancient looking dagger. My eyes widened.
"What do you want me to do with that thing?! I'm not going to stab Ethan!" I exclaimed.
Lisa simply shushed me. She started mumbling strange words that I couldn't understand.
"Mövashkin zempacktò dinishki."
Her eyes changed to a crystal blue color, the blade of the dagger glowing the same color.
"Whoa. That was awesome. Could you teach me to do some witchy stuff?" I asked.
Lisa smiled. "Ask your brother, he's the one who taught me."
My eyes widened in shock. So this is what you do when you go out... I thought to myself.
"Now, I know you won't want to do this, but it is the only way to save Ethan and probably every thing else in existence." Lisa said.
She went over to me and placed the dagger in my hands. "You're going to have to back stab Ethan, who is technically Levi at this moment. Quiet literately, actually."
"What?! No! I mean, well... wha-what if I-I ki-ll h-him..." I exclaimed, eyes brimming with tears.
"Impossible." Lisa stated. "What I have placed on this dagger is a sealing spell. This spell was not created to kill, but to put something back. The most damage this dagger will do with this spell, if any, is leave a scratch, that can easily be healed." She explained to me.
I won't lie it did make me feel a lot more confident.
I took a deep breath. "Ok. I'll do it."
"Great to know. Now since we a have very very limited amount of time, I'll have to give you the short version on how to use the dagger."
She motioned me to follow her to a stack of books, and picked one up, flipping to a page. Lisa stopped on a page with a, what looks to be handrawn, picture of the dagger.
"This dagger is very, very, very old. It was used in many wars, mythical and non. This dagger was wielded by many great leaders, even your father at some point." Lisa explained.
I noticed something on the next page. "What are all of those?" I asked pointing to the page with various bladed weapons on it.
"All of these are the dagger." She said. I looked from the book to the dagger.
"You see, this dagger is able to shift its form to the wielders liking. As you can see, it can shift into things such as rapiers, axes, and even scythes."
"What form did my father use?" I asked curiously.
Lisa flipped to the next page, where a deadly looking weapon was drawn.
*~~~When edited, weapon goes here~~~~~*
It looked horribly terrifyingly horrifying.
"I-I thought y-you s-said it was a s-sealing weapon." I stuttered, not believing my father would use a weapon of this caliber.
"I said the spell placed on the dagger is sealing spell, but the dagger as a whole, with certain intentions, can and is powerful enough to kill even the most powerful of beings. With the exception of a very select few." Lisa explained to me.
She closed the book and put it back. "Well now that you know a bit of how this dagger works, I'm going to tell you how to activate the sealing spell."
Lisa walked back to the middle of the circle. "Once you get the dagger into Levi's back, you will need to chant the activation spell.
The spell you will need to chant goes like this, Vintrōp Stenzīn Vixtin Trinof." She said.
As Lisa chanted the spell, I memorized it, knowing that it was very important to saving Ethan.
I nodded, saying that I remember. In that moment, Fell padded into the room. He was wearing silver cuffs, with an electric blue lightning strike on it, on his legs. The lightning slightly glowed.
"What's Fell doing here and why is he wearing those?" I asked, petting Fell's head.
"Fell is going to go with you to get Ethan back. It seems that Ethan gave Skylar and Fell powers of their own. Fell's powers consist of War and Death. While Skylar's are Famine and Pestilence. The cuffs have a protection enchant on them, so of they were to get hurt, it wouldn't be that bad." Lisa told me.
"So they're kind of like the four horsemen?"
"Exactly, but they'd kind of be like the two wolves." Lisa chuckled.
I looked down at Fell, who looked up at me. I smirked and nodded my head, as if saying 'awesome'.
Lisa walked over to me, two cuffs in her hands. She put them on me and stepped back. I studied the cuffs.
They were black gold with small accents of red, gold, and a light silver. It reminded me of Ethan's eyes. I flipped my hands over, to where my wrists were up. In the center of each cuff, was a crescent moon. The moons had a mix of green, red, gold, and silver. Were these supposed to represent both of our eyes?
"These are beautiful..." I stated.
"They were supposed to be a present for you from Ethan, but now would be a good time to use them."
"Why would they be?" I asked, finally looking up from the cuffs.
Lisa opened her mouth to speak, but was cut off by someone else.
"Because they were forged and enchanted by Ethan himself. That's why he has been going out so much lately. He's been coming here to work on them nonstop." Dad said as he appeared in the room.
I think I love Ethan even more now, if that's even possible.
"Are you ready?" He asked me.
I took a deep breath and nodded.
I turned around, dagger in hand. I gripped my necklace and walked out of the door, ready to get my Ethan back.
Don't worry Ethan, I'm coming to get you back.......
