"Quincy," I sighed, "that's enough."
He whined, but thanked the man that handed him the blue-colored llama. "But I don't want to. It's super fun, Daddy. Or is it because you haven't won a game yet?"
I softly glared at him when he blinked innocently. "No, I just don't want to carry these anymore. Look, Dom and Milo are the only ones not carrying any prizes."
Quincy placed his hands on his hips as he looked at Dom and Milo. "Hm, maybe I'll go win some more so they can have stuffies to carry, too."
He was about to walk to another stand, but Dom grabbed his shirt, then threw him over his shoulder. Quincy squealed and kicked his legs.
"I'm not going to put you down if you keep playing." Dom lightly smacked Quincy's ass, making my baby whine.
"Fine..."
Dom shifted him onto his side. "I'll put you down once we're far away from the games."
"No, right now!" He squirmed and threw weak punches at Dom's chest. "Dom, right now!"
Dom shook his head, so we started walking far away from the stands. We got closer to the rides, but Quincy didn't stop squirming and whining.
"You're really reminding me of a child right now, Quincy." Dom said as we continued walking.
"Let me go, then?"
"No."
"Master, the concert starts in two hours. We have to go so we can get front stage!" Levi tugged on my hand.
I nodded. "Then we'll head over there after we go to the restroom. We haven't had a restroom break yet, so I have to pee."
Levi quickly nodded, then dragged me to the restrooms, the others following behind. I could hear Quincy still whining to Dom, but I didn't think anything of it.
There wasn't a line for the restroom, so I quickly went in and did my business. Once I stepped back outside, I waited for the others to finish, but I sighed when I didn't spot Quincy.
"You think he's hiding in one of the stalls?" Dom asked, and I shrugged.
He and I went inside and called out for Quincy. We waited a few minutes and watched people go in and out of the few stalls, then made sure we didn't miss him at the urinals.
"Was he in there?" Benji asked with a crease near his brow.
"Nope. He probably went to go play more games. I'll call him." I pulled my phone out, but then Benji groaned.
"He gave me his phone so he wouldn't lose it."
My eyes widened and I immediately ran toward the direction of the game stands. I scanned the crowd and slowed down when I neared the stands, making sure to look out for a certain someone wearing a bright blue shirt.
"We'll check around this area." Rami gestured to the left side, so Dom, Benji, Kian, and Milo followed him after I nodded.
"Master, what if Quincy really is lost? Or what if someone took him?" Kai frowned.
"We'll find him, Kitty, don't worry. He's probably just playing a game." I patted his head and kept myself calm.
"Enzo and I will check the right side. You guys go look for Quincy at the games, ok?" Amir said and I nodded, watching them walk away.
I grabbed Kai's left hand while Levi grabbed his right one. I led them closer to the stands, and since there was quite a big amount of people, we had to squeeze through and hold onto each other's hands tightly just in case we lost each other.
I scanned the area and looked at the multiple game stands. Since Quincy won most of the prizes at the throwing games, we searched there first, but we didn't find him.
At this point, I was getting more worried. Because of how small Quincy is, anyone could grab and take him easily. I hoped that he was at least playing some game with a lot of people around.
My phone suddenly started ringing, and I pulled it out, quickly answering it. "Milo? Did you guys find him?"
"Yeah. We're by the food stands near the entrance."
"Ok, we'll be there in a few minutes. How is he? Is he ok?" I tugged on Kai's hand.
"He's alright, but he's receiving a scolding from Dom and Benji."
"Ok. I'll see you in a bit, then." I ended the call and sighed, feeling much more calm that the guys found him.
I called Amir and told him that the others found Quincy, and told them meet up at the food stands near the entrance of the festival. I explained what Milo told me to Levi and Kai, and after about ten minutes of walking, we spotted the guys sitting at a table.
I quickly walked over and saw that Quincy's head was on top of his arms which were on the table. Rami, Kian, and Milo were sitting across from him while Dom and Benji were standing and talking with each other as they shook their heads.
I placed my hand on Quincy's shoulder and he stilled, then let out a small whimper. I sighed and sat beside him.
"Quincy, where did you go? Why'd you think that it was ok to leave without telling us where you were going, hm?" I stared at the back of his head. "You had us worrying, and because Benji had your phone, that made us worry even more."
He slowly lifted his head up and looked at me with red eyes. "But you left us and had us worrying."
I looked at him with confusion, then pulled my hand away from his shoulder. "Oh...right. My bad, then."
I stood up and chuckled to myself when he tried to grab my hand. "I get it, Quincy."
"Daddy, I didn't mean-"
"No, I get it, Quincy. I'm sorry." I tucked my hands into my pockets and looked around, but then checked my phone for the time. I hummed. "Levi, your favorite band will start in a little more than an hour. We can still see if we can get front row? If not, then we'll try to get as close as possible."
I met Levi's hazel eyes and he looked behind me, then met my eyes again. "Mm, yeah..."
"Xavier," Quincy pulled my hand out of my pocket, so I looked down at him. "I'm really sorry, I didn't mean what I said."
I nodded and started walking. "We better not waste anymore time, or else Levi won't be able to watch his favorite band perform."
I walked ahead, and I think that everyone decided to give me some time since I was walking by myself. The others followed quietly, but everyone around me was loud.
I wasn't too sure what happened next, but I was suddenly standing next to Amir while people around me sang. I blinked a few times and looked around, then realized that the concert had already started.
I scrunched my brows, then looked at the time, seeing that an hour had already passed. That meant that the concert had just begun, so we had an hour and a half left until this performance was over.
I continued to look around since I was still confused, but felt a hand grab my own. I looked at the side of Amir's face and squinted at him, moving my fingers and shifting my feet a bit.
Amir leaned closer to my ear. "You zoned out for a quite a while, Xavier. You were barely even answering us when we asked you if you were ok."
I nodded. "Yeah...I don't remember that. The last thing I remember was when we were walking here, but that's it."
I bit the inside of my cheek and scanned the area around us. I was still too confused with what had happened, so I was getting a bit anxious and nervous.
"Are you ok?" Amir asked.
I hummed and started biting the inside of my lip. "I think I'm going to go back to the hotel. I feel weird."
"I'll come with you-"
I quickly shook my head. "I just need some time alone, Amir. Please?"
Amir carefully looked at me, but then nodded. "I'll tell the others. Levi, Enzo, Kian, and Milo are closer to the stage."
I nodded, and felt Amir kiss my cheek. He squeezed my hand, then I looked for a way out. I had to squeeze through people, but managed to make it out after a few minutes.
I started heading for the exit and decided to just walk back to the hotel. It would probably take half an hour, but I was fine with it since I would have time to think, or so I thought. I tuned back into reality while I was in the middle of opening a small bag. I wasn't too sure what I was looking for, but when I zipped the rest of the bag open, I remembered exactly what I was looking for.
I pulled the lighter and tube out, then stared at the two small objects. I didn't want to do it, but my head was too busy having a conference call with itself and I felt on edge, so I got up and stepped out to the balcony. I sat on the chair and opened up the tube, pulling out a blunt and taking my time to make sure that I really wanted to do this.
Maybe I was overreacting about what Quincy said, but he was only telling the truth. He didn't lie or make something up. He was just saying what he was thinking, but I couldn't help but feel a bit hurt that he would bring it up. I probably shouldn't feel hurt for it, but I was, and because of that, I lit the end of the blunt. I threw the lighter on the small table beside me and sighed.
I took another long stare at the thin roll in my hand. It had been about three months since I last smoked, so I wasn't sure if I wanted to break my streak, but when the moment that Quincy spoke the truth replayed in my head, I pulled the end of the blunt up to my lips and took a long drag. I moved my hand away, then slowly exhaled, coughing and feeling the familiar burning sensation at the back of my throat. I coughed for a few moments and smiled to myself, taking another drag of the blunt.
I pulled out the hair-tie in my hair and let my hair down. I ran my fingers through and sighed, sitting back on the chair. The slight breeze brushed my arms which caused goosebumps to form all over my arms.
I didn't keep track of how long I was sitting out in the balcony, but I decided to stop smoking once half of it was gone. I wasn't expecting to smoke that much of it after going so long without smoking, so I put the end out and put it back into the plastic tube, keeping it out to play with in my hands.
I stared at the moon with heavy eyelids and chuckled. My arms felt heavy so I just kept them on my lap. I stared at the building across from me and could see that some of the rooms had their lights on.
I just stared at the wall and overtime, watched the rooms turn their lights off. I again lost track of time and just stared at nothing, completely oblivious to everything that was happening around me. I was getting a bit hungry, but my body felt too heavy to get up. My mouth and lips were dry too, so I was just swallowing my saliva and licking my lips.
I hummed for a bit and didn't hear the room door open up. There was some clouds covering the moon, and I watched them slowly reveal the white light of the night.
I jumped when the balcony door opened and gripped the front of my shirt, looking up at Kai. "You s-scared me, Kai."
I chuckled a bit and made myself more comfortable on the chair. "How was the performance?"
"You smell."
I blinked, "Mm..."
"Why is there a lighter beside you?" Kai picked up the metal lighter and looked at me. "You smoked..."
"Mm..." I subtly tucked the tube into my pocket and rubbed my thigh. "I'm hungry."
When I looked up, Kai wasn't where he had been standing, so I looked through the sliding door and saw that he was showing the lighter to Amir and Enzo. Enzo took the lighter from Kai and scowled, his eyes meeting mine.
I simply got up and let out a quiet sigh, deciding that it was time to sleep. I wasn't hungry anymore, so I just grabbed my clothes to change into my pajamas and went in the bathroom.
I undressed and slid on my clean pair of clothes, then went to the sink. I cupped cold water in my hands and rubbed my face. Turning the sink off, I grabbed a small clean towel and dried my face. I pushed my hair back, then tied it up so that it was out of my face.
Once I was done with everything else, I grabbed my clothes and stepped out of the bathroom. I put my clothes away and flopped onto one of the beds and crawled under the sheets, attempting to quickly fall asleep, but I felt too jittery.
"Xavier." Enzo called my name and I sighed.
I knew that I would probably get a lecture from him and Amir, so I sat up and put my full attention on them. I looked at them, but they didn't say anything, so I cleared my throat.
"Aren't you guys going to lecture me? Kai showed you my lighter, and there's no point in lying and saying that I didn't smoke. I did smoke and I don't regret it, so I'm not sorry about that." I clasped my hands together and blinked.
Both Amir and Enzo stared at me, then sighed.
Enzo tugged on his hair, clenching his jaw. "It's fine. We know why you did it, so it's ok. You don't need to apologize for it."
I was taken aback. "Really?"
Amir nodded and sat on the edge of the bed. "We know that you only smoke whenever you're thinking too much about something, or when something is really bothering you."
I shrugged and laid down. "I'm fine now."
"Quincy wants to talk with you." I heard Enzo say.
"Where is he?" I closed my eyes and relaxed into the bed.
"He doesn't want to see you, because he thinks that you don't want to be around him right now. He's with Benji and the others." Amir explained, and I nodded.
"I'll talk with him."
Enzo got off the bed and went outside. I heard him talk quietly outside, then Quincy and the others walked in. The guys told us goodnight, then they left. Quincy stood at the end of the bed with his head down.
I sighed and patted the spot beside me. "Come here, Quincy."
He looked at the spot beside me nervously, then kicked his shoes off and climbed on the bed beside me. He sat stiffly and met my eyes after a few moments.
"Xavier, I'm really sorry about what I said. I didn't mean it, and I wish I hadn't said that. I really hope that you can forgive me." He played with his fingers and looked down.
I grabbed his left hand and rubbed his knuckles. "It's ok, Quincy. Don't worry about it."
"But do you forgive me? I'm really sorry, Xavier." He questioned with wide, hopeful eyes.
I stared at him, then slowly nodded. "I forgive you."
Quincy looked at me with suspicion, but sighed after a few moments. I pulled him onto my lap and hugged him tightly, feeling his arms wrap around my shoulders.
I held him for a few minutes, then he pulled away. "I'm going to change."
I nodded, so I let him go and he crawled off the bed. I laid back down and pulled the sheets over my shoulders, staring at the wall across from me.
The bed dipped behind me, but I didn't look back. A chest pressed into my back and snuggled me up, the person's arm moving over my hip. Their lips pressed onto my skin before they moved away.
"Master, are you comfortable?"
I shivered at Levi's tired voice. "Yes, I'm comfortable, Puppy. Are you comfortable?"
"Mhm," he hugged my back, "I'm always comfortable whenever I'm around you, Master."
I smiled to myself, and squeezed his hand. "That makes me happy to hear, Puppy."
Levi nuzzled my neck and pressed small kisses all over. Our fingers held onto each other's and I could feel his fingers lightly trailing beneath my shirt, but didn't move anywhere else. He squeezed my side and whimpered happily.
I tiredly patted his hand and watched Kai lay down in front of me. I watched him struggle to pull the sheets over his shoulders, so I helped him and pulled him closer against my chest. I kissed his head as he clutched the front of my shirt and gently rubbed his hair. I was squished between Levi and Kai, so I was quite content. I just quietly listened to Amir, Enzo, and Quincy change and move around the room while rubbing Kai's hair.
Levi whimpered a few times into my neck and gently licked my skin. He squeezed my side, then relaxed again. I squeezed his fingers and watched the bathroom light turn off.
The bed dipped behind Kai and I felt a small hand land on my arm. Quincy squeezed my wrist that was rubbing Kai's hair and he reached forward to kiss the back of my hand before flipping onto his stomach and turning his head away.
I moved my hand to Quincy's head and began rubbing his hair. He quickly leaned into my hand and let out a happy hum, his body seeming to relax even more.
