As soon as I got off the plane, I was greeted by a police officer at the gate. We got in his car and he drove me to my house, walking with me when I made my way towards my home. I knocked on the door and it opened up a few seconds after, my mom pulling me into a tight and telling me how much she missed me.
"Are you ok, Quincy?"
"I'm fine, Mom, let me go." I pulled my hands back from her and she furrowed her brows, the officer behind me awkwardly clearing his throat.
"Hello, I'm Officer Johnson. I wanted to ask Quincy a few questions about what you told us, if that's ok?"
"No-"
"Oh, come in. Quincy will tell you everything that happened."
I rolled my eyes and walked into the house, walking straight to my room. I pulled a big suitcase out from my closet and a backpack, pulling my clothes out from my closet and dresser, and stuffing them in the bags.
"Quincy?" I heard my mom walk in my room, "What are you doing?"
"Well, I already know we'll get into an argument, like always, and you'll probably ask me an ultimatum and I already know my answer even if you haven't asked the question. I'm just getting all of my things ready so I won't have to come back here." I closed up the backpack and started grabbing more clothes to throw into the suitcase.
My hands were pulled away, but I yanked them from my mom. "You're not making me stay here."
"Quincy, you can't make a choice. You're a minor and I'm your mom, you can't leave the house. You're not ready to be on your own. Look what happened the past couple of days! You were kidnapped!"
"And?! I'm fine now..." I glared at her and she dropped her 'innocent, worried mother' look.
"You're not leaving, Quincy. You're going to go out there and tell that officer what happened and why you went missing. After that, you'll break up with those stupid boys that have caused too much trouble for you and themselves. You don't have a choice because I'm your parent and you will listen to what I say! I know that you would rather be with your mom than those four boys, correct?"
I stayed silent, then shook my head. "Actually, you're wrong. I would choose them any day over you. I would choose dad over you. You're always trying to make me the perfect son you wanted, but guess what? That's never going to happen because I will no longer be following your orders, or letting you push me around anymore."
She scowled and crossed her arms. "So you're saying that you would rather be with them over me when they could just be using you and your body? Do they pay you or something? Is that why you're choosing them? I wouldn't be too surprised since you're always going after money."
I laughed and continued putting my clothes away. "I work to earn my own money. I don't go after people with money because I would rather make my own money. I know that I've earned it for working hard, unlike you. I know that you've always been with Dad because of his money. You're always asking him for it and when he doesn't give you any, you get all mad and upset and take it out on me. I'm surprised that you think you're innocent after all of this."
I looked her and clicked my tongue. "So...are we done here?"
My head swiftly turned to the left, feeling a stinging sensation on my right cheek. I froze and slowly looked back at the woman in front of me.
"I guess we are."
I zipped up the suitcase and placed it on the ground, sliding the backpack on and grabbing the suitcase as I began walking out.
"Quincy..." I looked back at the same woman and raised my brow, her face turning red. "This is the last chance I'm giving you. Either you leave those boys and come back to your family, or you stay with them, not even knowing if you'll be with them forever, and you lose us and your home?"
"See, what did I say about the ultimatum? Anyway, I would rather risk it all and go with my lovely boyfriends. My home is with them, plus, it's never been a home whenever I've been with you. Dad is the only supportive parent and it's quite sad that you couldn't be supportive either because you just lost your son, and I've just lost my mom." I gave her one last glance, then left what would now be my old room.
I walked out to the living room and found my dad laying on the couch, scrolling through a few channels. I looked at his left arm and saw that he had a cast on. He turned and looked up at me, smiling softly.
"I told the officer to leave. I trust that you'll be ok after all that happened to you in New Mexico?" I nodded and he got up, walking to me. "She'll never change, Quincy. She'll never listen to anyone except for herself, and she always will want to take control, but not anymore."
I nodded and hugged him, feeling his arms wrap around me. "I'm glad that I'm leaving, but sad that I have to leave you behind."
"You're not because I'll soon be leaving her, too." I pulled away and raised my brow, so he began whispering, "You're mother has been stealing money from me for a long time, now. I have proof and I've contacted a great lawyer, so I'll be suing her and divorcing her. I don't want to be with someone that doesn't even respect or support their own child. I also know that she's been cheating on me for a while, now. The guy is rich so I'm not surprised why she wouldn't want to cheat. I'm actually quite glad that we signed that prenup when we got married, although she was not happy about it at all."
I chuckled and hugged my dad once more. "I'm glad we're both moving on from her, then. This is why I don't like girls...they're too much, but guys can also be the same. My guys are all that I've ever wanted, so I'm really happy with them."
My dad chuckled and nodded. "That's good. Um, do you need a ride?"
"It's ok, you need to rest that arm anyway, but can I use your phone to call a friend? I don't have mine because it was lost in the accident."
"Actually," my dad went over to the kitchen, then pulled something out from a drawer, walking back to me, "you're phone survived the crash."
I smiled and took my phone from him. "Thanks, um, I guess I'll call my friend and go home, then."
My dad nodded, but stopped me before I could leave as my mom walked out. "You still realize that you have a home with me too, right?"
I nodded, "I know, and I love you for that. I'm really happy that I still have a parent around to be there for me."
His smiled brightened, "I love you, too. Be safe, alright, Quincy?"
"Yes, Dad."
I grabbed my suitcase and left the house. I called Benji once I reached the end of my street, and asked if he could pick me up, telling him my location once he said yes. He said he would be here soon, so while
I waited, I sat on the curb outside of my house.
More than half an hour had passed when I heard voices and footsteps coming from my left. I looked up and saw a group of boys walking my way and immediately tensed, looking down at my phone to seem busy.
"Hey, look at that little guy over there. He seems lost."
I internally groaned when the group of boys walked closer and felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked up and raised my brow at the one that tapped my shoulder.
"Are you all alone, buddy? Where are your parents?"
I chuckled, shaking my head. "Actually, I'm running away from home...sort of."
"Come on, buddy, you're too young to be running away from your mom and dad. I'm sure they're worrying about you?" The tannest guy asked, but I again shook my head.
"Well, my dad knows that I'm running away, but I'm just running away to my boyfriends' house. Also, don't call me buddy, I'm seventeen."
Their eyes widened and I looked away from them when a car stopped in front of us. I smiled when Benji got out of his car, walking over to help me.
"Are they bothering you?" He glanced at the four boys behind me, but I shook my head.
"No, they're not. Let's just go home. I wanna see everybody."
Benji nodded so he helped me up and grabbed my suitcase, popping the trunk open as I took my backpack off. He placed them inside and closed the trunk as I got in the passenger's side. He hopped in and drove off after buckling up.
We both stayed silent for a bit, then I asked Benji why he was pulling over. "I didn't even get to say hi to you back there..."
He unbuckled my seatbelt and grabbed me, setting me on his lap as he hugged me tightly. "Are you ok, Quincy?"
"As ok as I can be, I guess." I hugged him and laid my head on his shoulder. "I really missed you and the others. Rami and Kian were there with me, but I just wished that we weren't there. I was really scared just being there."
"You're home now." He pulled back and I sat back on his thighs. "At least you're safe and Xavier and Enzo will be coming home, too. Amir called us earlier and told us that Felix would come home with them."
I nodded, then remembered something that I wish would've never happened. "Benji, you know that Rami, Kian, Levi, and I were hurt, right?"
"Yeah, I can see the bruises on the side of your face."
"Well," I looked down and frowned, "Xavier and Enzo were also hurt bad too, but..."
"What happened, Quincy?"
I looked back up at him and met his brown eyes. I thought about it for a second, but I knew that it would be better if Xavier told the guys that he was hurt badly while at the warehouse. I didn't want to upset Xavier by telling the others, although I know that he wouldn't get mad, but it's better of the guys heard it from him rather than me.
"I don't know, I'm just r-really sad that this all had to happen. I wish that none of us had to go through any of this. I want everything to go back to normal, but I'm s-scared that it won't..." My frown deepened as my bottom lip trembled. "What if stuff keeps happening and Xavier or Enzo, or even something happens to one of us again, but this time, we get really h-hurt?"
"Everything is going to be fine, Quincy. The whole thing with Mauricio and his gang have been dealt with. No one is going to hurt Xavier, Enzo, or any of us anymore, ok? It's all over and we'll all go back to normal. We're going to be ok." He wiped my face and pulled me into another hug, letting me rest my head on his chest as I quietly cried.
I clutched onto his shirt and closed my eyes, hoping that he was right. That none of us will get hurt again. That everything will go back to normal, or as normal as it can be.
Benji held me until I calmed down, kissing my cheek and rubbing my back gently. I moved off of his lap and sat back in the passenger's side, letting him drive us back home after we both buckled up.
The rest of the ride home was quiet. I thought about everything and wished that Xavier and Enzo would be here sooner. I really wanted to see them again and I wondered if they were awake yet.
I looked up when Benji parked the car in the driveway and we hopped out. I grabbed my backpack and he grabbed my suitcase for me, leading me to the front door and punching in the code. We walked in and Benji closed the door behind me, setting my suitcase on the floor as I placed my backpack down.
I walked to the living room and found Levi and Kai on the couch. They looked up at the same time and I ran over to them, jumping on them.
"I missed the both of you so much."
"We missed you too, Quincy." Levi and Kai kissed my face until I sat back on Levi's lap, and kissed them.
I felt so happy being with them again, but I knew that two very specific people were still missing. I couldn't wait till Xavier and Enzo were able to come home and we could all be together again.
I hung onto Levi and Kai for a while longer, but finally decided to greet the others. I walked to the kitchen and Dom was the one to pick me up. He hugged me tightly while Milo kissed my cheek, Rami and Kian asking how it went with my mom.
I called Levi and Kai to the kitchen and once they were here, I explained everything to everyone. I even went back to when I was younger and my mom would always want control over me. She never let me make decisions and she would never let me voice my opinion about something that I didn't like.
Once I finished the story, I asked Rami and Kian where that one guy from earlier was.
"Ever since we got home, he's been outside in the backyard. Eddie told us to watch him until he figured out what to do with him. He told us to make friends with him, but he's kind of hard to talk to." Kian explained and I nodded.
I asked Dom to put me down and told everyone that I would be outside. I walked out through the backdoor and found the guy sitting under the shade, seeing that his brows were furrowed as he stared at the pool.
Like I had caught him doing earlier, his nails were doing into his arms and I noticed the other smalls marks on his arms and wrists.
"Hey..." I spoke quietly to not to scare him, "Are you ok?"
The guy quickly looked up at me, then back down as he nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine."
"Are you sure?" He nodded so I moved closer to him, but stopped when the backdoor slid open.
I looked back and watched Benji step out, walking over to us after he closed the door.
From the corner of my eye, I saw the guy tense up as Benji got closer. His body began visibly trembling and this time, I tilted my head.
"Are you sure you're ok, or is something wrong?" I felt Benji's presence beside me and the guy didn't look up.
"I'm ok, it's just that...he looks like the type to hurt people." He quickly glanced at Benji and his eyes flicked around on the grass.
"What do you mean?" I asked him because I was genuinely confused as to why he was acting like this. Even when we were in the car with Eddie, he seemed to be super hyperaware of everything and looked like he was ready to cry. "Wait, first, what's your name?"
"My name is Reece."
"Cute name. My name is Quincy and this is Benji." I gestured up at Benji, but Reece didn't look up.
I sat down beside him and Benji did the same next to me, pulling me onto his lap. He cuddled my back and gently kissed my shoulder, his arms resting on my stomach.
"Um," Reece looked up at us, then looked away, "are you guys dating?"
Benji and I chuckled as we shook our heads. I held onto two of Benji's fingers and played with them while I explained things to Reece.
"We're best-" I turned my head to look at Benji, "Are we best friends?"
"I mean, I guess..." He sarcastically groaned which made me roll my eyes playfully.
I faced Reece again, "Benji and I are best friends and we're really comfortable with each other, but I guess that's what happens when you're one of Xavier's lovers. There's nine of us and we're all really close and super comfortable with each other, which is why we're really affectionate to one another. Some of us are also in a relationship with each other, but Benji and I are not dating."
Reece nodded, then turned to face us a bit more. "Are all those guys that are inside lovers of Xavier, too?"
"Yeah, they're all really nice, although Milo can be a bit...harsh?" I looked at Benji and he nodded.
"Milo can be really blunt at times...a lot, actually."
"Yeah, but we still love him because that's who he is." I smiled and Benji agreed. I faced Reece and continued on, "Rami can also be...blunt at times, but not as much as Milo, though. Milo is on a different level from the rest of us."
"Are you guys talking about me?!" The three of us looked back and saw that Milo was peeking his head out of the backdoor.
"How did you hear?" Benji asked him.
"I can hear and see everything, remember?" Milo smirked and closed the door behind himself, walking over to us and sitting down beside Benji as he looked at Reece. "What were you guys talking about other than me?"
"I was telling Reece about us and our magnificent personalities." I chuckled.
"Of course, tell him how kind, caring, beautiful, handsome, wonderful, talented, nice, extravagant-"
"Obsessive-stalker, lover you are to Xavier?" Benji asked him sarcastically which made Milo smile darkly.
"Yes, that too." He turned to face Reece, "So, if you ever decide to hurt Xavier, or any of us for that matter, I'll have no problem killing you myself."
"Be nice, Milo." Benji glanced at him, but Milo shrugged.
"I'm just saying..."
"Um, anyway..." I awkwardly chuckled and looked at Reece again. "Let's move on. Ok, there's Dom, Benji, Rami, Kian, Milo, Levi, Enzo, Kai, and me. We're all with Xavier and..."
I explained a few to things to Reece about our relationship with Xavier and how things worked. I obviously didn't tell him everything, though. It was just a brief explanation about who was dating who within our group, without including that the twins were dating each other because that's not my part to tell.
We stayed outside for a few hours, just trying to get to know Reece while also telling him more things about us. He didn't have much to say, because he wasn't comfortable telling us too many things which he explained to us, but we understood. He just wanted to ask us questions so we answered them for him.
At some point during the evening, Dom slid the door open and told us to come in for dinner. We got up and Benji carried me inside while he followed Milo in.
Reece mainly stuck to me and Benji's side, since it seemed like he got more comfortable with us. We asked him that if he was uncomfortable, we could eat with him outside, but he told us it was fine, so we ate inside. Everyone made conversation with each other and asked Reece a few questions here and there, but other than that, he sat quietly and ate.
Halfway into our dinner, Dom's phone rang so he answered it. "You guys just landed?"
We all looked up and waited for him to finish the call.
"Felix said that they just landed and are on their way to take Xavier and Enzo to the nearby hospital. We won't be able to go today because it's already late, but we'll be able to go tomorrow?" We all quickly nodded and Milo got up as he called someone.
When he got back, we quickly finished eating and cleaned up the kitchen. We put everything away, then Levi pulled Kai and I upstairs.
Levi led us to the bed and he laid down, pulling Kai and I into a hug. "I really missed you guys even if we weren't away from each other for that long."
"But it was scary because you both went missing the same night." Kai frowned and hid his head into Levi's neck. "I was so worried and I really thought that things were going to get worse from there."
"We're here now, Kai. You don't have to worry anymore. Xavier and Enzo will come home soon and this will all go back to normal." I squeezed his hand and he nodded.
"I hope..."
