Dom's POV:
It was a few days since Xavier was put in the hospital. He still hadn't woken up from the coma and we were all getting worried that he wouldn't wake up at all anymore.
Alvaro, Felix, and Ollie told us that they thought it was best if we went back to school since we had about two months left and this was our final year in high school. Benji, Ramy, Kian, and I still haven't thought about what we were going to do after we graduated.
We needed Xavier to tell us what he thought was best for us. I know that we shouldn't be depending on him to make our life choices, but we really didn't know what to do after school finished and he always knew what was the best for everyone.
I was also getting a bit scared since my parents weren't checking up on me as constantly anymore. This last month they only called me once when they would usually call me at least three times to see how I was doing and how my grades were.
What if they just gave up on me because of how I used to be?
I still haven't even told them about Xavier and Benji. Not because I wanted to hide them, but because of how my parents would react. My parents were very old school and strict, so I just had a feeling that they weren't going to accept me or my lovers. It made me sad because it would be my fault that I would lose the relationship that I have with them.
At this point, I wasn't too worried about it if they did disown me as their child. I was constantly scolded and yelled at when I was younger because of the way I was. Xavier changed all of that and I felt like I only needed him and Benji to be happy with my life. It's a bit scary to think about, but I knew that I was going to be fine in the end.
With that, I decided to call my parents and tell them about my relationship with the two males that I loved dearly. My mom's phone rang a few times, then I heard her voice.
"Oh, Dominic, why are you calling? Is something wrong?" I could hear her voice and she sounded a bit off, but I ignored it.
"Can you call dad so that he can be next to you? I need to tell you both something that I have yet to tell you both." I said and heard her hum.
I heard her yell for her husband, then some movement. "Dominic, your father is here. Go on, what were you going to tell us?"
I didn't even get to greet my dad as I said what I had been keeping from them for some time now. "Uh, I have been keeping something from the both of you for a while, because of how old school you both are, um..."
I didn't get to finish when I felt a rush of nerves hit me. I breathed out and cleared my throat. "There's no other way to say this, but that I'm gay-"
"What?! Did you just say you're gay, or did I hear you wrong?" I heard my dad's voice and sighed when I was able to hear the bit of anger in his voice along with amusement because he thought I was joking.
"Yes, dad, you heard me correct. I'm gay and I met-"
"It can't be, Dominic, no child of mine will ever be a gay. It's not right for a man to be with another man. You know that and I taught you to be with a woman!" He screamed in the end and I winced when he yelled into the phone.
"Dominic, we taught you what is right from wrong and you're clearly wrong." My mom said next and I growled.
"I'm not wrong, ok? I'm happy with them and they-"
"'Them?' Oh my, Dominic, what has gotten into you?! Are you ok in the head? Do you need to see a specialist to fix you? We can send you to a-"
"Mom," I yelled through the phone and she stopped, "nothing is wrong with me. I'm fine and-"
"Don't yell at your mother you disgraceful piece of shit. You're a fa..."
My heart stopped. I would have never thought that my own dad would call me something so...hurtful. I didn't want to hear what else they had to say about me.
"I'm sorry." I ended the call and threw my phone across the room floor.
I guess I was lying earlier when I said that I wasn't too worried about them disowning me. I was hurting so much that I didn't even notice that I stopped breathing when I hit my chest and gasped for air.
What's happening to me?
"B...Benji!" I yelled and grasped onto the bed sheets, "Please help me..."
I cried out and caught my breath when I felt cold hands on my shoulders. "Benji?"
I looked up and saw Milo with a gentle look on his face. "No, it's something worse, but I hope you don't mind?"
He chuckled softly and rubbed my back. I was able to slowly catch my breath, going back to breathing normally without having that uncomfortable pressure on my chest.
I chuckled softly and shook my head as I closed my eyes. "You're not worse..."
"Hmm?" Milo sat up and pulled his hands away from my back.
I grabbed his hands and held them under my chin. "I said, you're not worse. I'm happy you were here to help me if Benji wasn't able to get to me."
Milo smiled softly and moved closer to me. "Benji's outside with the others, if you're wondering."
I nodded and pulled him closer, not noticing that my eyes were red and my face was dripping with tears. He gently wiped my cheek and pulled his hand back.
"Why were you crying and calling for Benji?"
It was a weird cry. It was one where I couldn't stop crying, but I could control my voice so that it wasn't shaking.
"I called for Benji because I couldn't breathe. I'm crying because I told my parents that I'm gay and they..." Milo nodded in understanding and sighed.
"What are you gonna do once you graduate? Where are you going after all of this is done?" He asked with a soft tone and I shrugged.
"Most likely where Xavier and Benji go. My first home is gone so now this is the only home I have and that's wherever they are." I explained with ease, knowing that every word was true, "What about you? I'm guessing you're staying with Xavier too, huh?"
Milo nodded. "Yeah, my home is with Xavier. I love him so much and I know he'll come back home to us soon."
I smiled. We all needed Xavier in our life. If he ever left us, or something happened...we were all doomed. He was our happiness and he helped us become better people.
"Me too, Milo." I pulled him closer so that he was on top of me. I hugged him and kissed his head, praying that Xavier would come home soon like Milo said.
I then felt something wet land on my shoulder and pulled Milo back, his head was facing down. I tilted his head up and wiped his face.
"Now why are you crying, Milo?" He bit his lip and breathed, then looked up at me.
"Because if s-something happens to Xavier, I..." he closed his eyes and laid his head on my chest, speaking more confidently, "If something were to happen to Xavier, I don't know where I would go. He's my home and if he...died, then I would die alone with a broken heart."
Milo sat up and looked at me, his golden eyes glossy because of the tears. I held his face and leaned closer, softly pecking his lips. "I wouldn't let that happen, Milo. None of us would let that happen. We would help each other out like Xavier would like for us to do. I know he wouldn't want us to spend the rest of our lives grieving for him. He'd want us to heal and move on."
He nodded and hugged me, laying his head on my shoulder. "Thank you, Dom."
I softly chuckled and squeezed his side. "Thank you for helping me breathe again."
He smiled against my skin and nodded. "You're welcome, Dom."

I couldn't really focus in class right now. My mind kept wandering to Xavier and when he was going to wake up. I could tell that Levi and Enzo were out of it. They were listening to the teacher talk, but they weren't listening. I knew that Benji, Ramy, and Kian were having a hard time too.
Milo wasn't coming to school. Alvaro knew that he was going to stick by Xavier's side and so that's what he was doing. He came with us to school, but he went straight to the hospital while we went to our classes.
He was updating us every other hour on how Xavier was doing, but it was always the same. He was still in his coma and he was stable. Nothing was going wrong and he was still breathing.
It was expected that Xavier wouldn't wake up right away, but I was just getting impatient for him to wake up. It's selfish of me, but I can't help it. I know that the coma was also helping him rest and heal on his own, so that made me think of the best.
Xavier is just sleeping to gain back his strength, that's it.
That didn't stop me from worrying because he was still pale and cut up. When he first got admitted to the hospital and I visited him after he came out from surgery, his chest rose up so weakly.
The doctor had put him on the ventilator to help him breathe since he still wasn't breathing on his own. He said that once he got stronger, he'd breathe on his own until he didn't need an oxygen mask anymore.
I kept looking back at Levi and Enzo to check on them, but it was always the same. They both had their heads turned different ways with blank expressions. Levi was looking down and Enzo was staring at a wall.
I tried the best I could and tried to take notes so we wouldn't miss anything, but I knew that I wouldn't get everything. It was hard when I kept thinking about Xavier.
Once the bell rang, I slowly packed up and turned to Levi and Enzo. We walked out together and I decided to walk them to their next class.
"Thanks, we'll see you later." Levi said with an empty voice and walked off, following Enzo into their next building.
I sighed and the bell rang, but I didn't care. I walked slowly so that I wouldn't get to my next class and as I passed by, a security guard smiled softly when he recognized me as one of Xavier's lovers.
"Capo Eddie tells me that Xavier will be okay, he just needs to take his time to heal." He said with a small smile and I nodded.
"I know, but I can't help being selfish so that I can have him back in my arms." I said and he sighed quietly.
"I remember I had my own lover. She was the best person in my whole world, she was everything to me." He said and looked up at the sky with a genuine smile.
I hesitated for a second and decided to ask, "If you don't mind me asking, what happened to her?"
The green-eyed man sighed and looked back down to me. "Cancer took her. She was a strong woman that fought for six years, but her body couldn't take it anymore so it gave up. At least I know that she went in her sleep so that she didn't have to suffer much."
I nodded and held onto the strap of my backpack. "Have you moved on yet?"
The man chuckled and shook his head. "I did, but I couldn't leave her for another woman. I knew she would've wanted me to move on from her, but I couldn't. Every woman is so bland compared to her beautiful soul. She was it for me and I love her."
"How long did it take you to...heal from her death?"
The man smiled again and looked up at the sky. His eyes looked around as if he were searching for something. "I'm not gonna lie, it took me a long time, but I knew that I had to stop because she wouldn't want me to cry anymore for her. I slowly got better with the help of her family who were also still grieving at the time. We helped each other and it got better until things went back to 'normal.'"
His eyes stopped at one particular cloud. The outside of the cloud was soft compared to the other clouds with a lighter blue around it. He clicked his tongue and mumbled to himself, "I miss you, Diane."
I looked ahead and sighed, knowing that I should get to class before I got to class even more late. I bid the nice security man a goodbye and left.
It was the same for my second class, only it seemed worse. I couldn't focus at all on what the teacher was writing on the board. My mind kept drifting to Xavier obviously...
Is he going to be the same when he wakes up?
After school, we were all going to the hospital to spend a few hours with Xavier. I think I would ask the doctor a few of my questions so that I can at least relax knowing what I should expect when he wakes up.
I honestly had enough of this class and knew that I wouldn't focus until Xavier was awake and ok. I packed my stuff and walked out, ignoring the yells of my teacher to come back to class or he'd call security.
I kept my head down and walked to wherever my brain chose to go. When I noticed that the normal concrete was now bricked, I looked up and saw the hospital sitting in front of me.
Is it a surprise? No.
I walked in and checked in at the front, but the lady stopped me and told me that I should be in school.
"He's here for Jameson. He's allowed to come in at any time, Linda." I turned to face Xavier's doctor and smiled.
"Thank you." He shook his head and gestured me to follow him.
I looked back and scowled at the receptionist, not caring if she didn't know that I was here for Xavier. She could obviously hear the pleading in my voice, but it seemed like she didn't care. I followed the doctor to his room and he opened the door.
Milo looked up and smiled softly when he saw me. I stepped in the room and walked to his side as I looked over at Xavier laying on the hospital bed.
"Can I ask you a few questions, Doctor Lee?" I turned my head to him and he nodded, "Once he wakes up, will he be the same?"
The man sighed and shrugged. "I'm sorry to tell you so late, since I wanted all of you to be here at once, but now that you ask that, I guess I'll have to tell you. We did a few more MRI scans on his brain to check if Xavier's brain was swelling, and there was. It was more than we thought there would be and now that we have taken a closer look, it seems like his brain is slowly stopping the activities it's supposed to be performing."
It felt like something hit me straight on. All the air left my chest and I breathed deeply. "What does that m-mean for Xavier?"
"Unfortunately, his chances of surviving are decreasing. Originally, there was a ninety-five percent chance that he would live and make a slow, but full recovery. That's gone down to about a fifty percent chance of him living. If the swelling goes down, then it'll be better. It also depends if the brain has decided to just give up because of how serious the brain and head injuries are." He explained.
I bit my lip and looked down at Milo. His head was on the bed as he held onto Xavier's hand. I placed my hand on his back and sighed.
"Isn't there something you can do to help him?" I asked.
"This isn't a robot we're talking about. We can't just fix his brain and he's healed. His own mind has to do that on its own and it's something that Xavier's body will have to decide if-"
"If he'll come back to us, or if he'll leave." Milo finished with a distant voice, still not raising his head from the bed.
The doctor sighed and nodded. "Exactly. It's the harsh truth but all we can do is just wait it out and see what Xavier's body decides what's best for him."
I nodded and looked up at him when he cleared his throat. "Would you like for me to tell the others?"
I nodded and he dismissed himself, closing the door quietly once he walked out.
I walked to the other side of Xavier and looked at his face. He looked paler compared to the last time I saw him which was yesterday. All the tubes and needles were connected to his beautiful body. I just wanted to wake him up as if he were in bed and pull him downstairs for breakfast.
"You-" I turned my head and looked back at him after I took a deep breath, "You have no choice, Xavier. You're coming back home with us and we'll be happy again. You have no idea how much we've broken down because you're not there to build us back up and keep us sane."
I held onto his hand and smiled. "I know you're here. I know you're not giving up. You just need a little longer to rest so that you can come back to us better than before. It's ok, Xavier, take as long as you'd like. Just know that we all love you and miss you."
I kissed his hand and moved next to Milo, pulling him to my side when he sat up. I closed my eyes and laid my head on his, missing the twitch of Xavier's lips curling up in a small smile.

Ugh, I hate seeing Xavier like this. He's not where he should be and that's with his lovers. You can see that it's affecting them a lot because of how much they're in their heads and just thinking. There was more of Dom talking to himself, than actual talking so I hope that helps you understand and try to feel what he's feeling.
What do you guys think?
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed, see you next time, BYE!!! :))
