Ike's POV

I reached the infirmary to see Dr. Mario. He looked at me and raised a brow while touching his stethoscope.

"What's the matter, Ike?" He asked

"Uh its not me. It's the one complaining on my shoulder" I replied

I then heard a sharp 'excuse me?!' From the body that is slung over my shoulder.

"Don't act like you weren't complaining, Samus"

"I wasn't!"

"Oh yeah? I recall someone moaning about pain earlier...."

"I never did that"

"Your such an ungrateful child. When will you say "thanks Ike!" Or "thank you....". It's not even like im pushing a "oh your my hero Ike!". But I will accept that"

"In your dreams mercenary"

I sighed. "Your so cold.....You had to have been born sweet.....what happened?"

She immediately tensed up and glared. "None of your business...." she then said very coldly.

"Hey, Samus I was just playing-"

"Look, can I just get checked out? My whole body is in pain and.....I don't feel good....."

I sighed and put her on the infirmary bed. I then backed up and let Dr. Mario check her out.....see if she's alright. I then decided to take my leave so I turned around and took a last glance at her before the door closed behind me.

- A Few Weeks Later -

Still Ike's POV

Pretty much everything is back to normal. No one was really wounded that badly but a few and Samus. But they seem to be doing well.......As for Samus....I haven't checked on her.....but disregarding that, everything is rebuil and we are doing well. I was currently looking out the window of Hyrule Cafe. I was pretty tired with the few week's past events. I haven't gotten much sleep. Before you even think about it, it's not because of Samus. I'm worried about everyone. She may not be considering me as a friend but I.....consider her as well....between an acquaintance and a friend. You know?

Lost in thought I didn't even see the two princesses come sit in front of me.

"Good Morning Ike!" The blonde one said cheerfully and full of prep like always.

Zelda nodded with a smile. A sophisticated and polite one. Definitely resembling how she was royalty. "How is your morning going on this fine day?" She then asked.

"Fine, thank you. And your's? Good morning, Peach" I then said back. I may not be royalty but I know how to act around some. I mean I'm friends with a queen. Though, just because she is from my home country/nation doesn't mean I have more respect for her then Peach or Zelda. As a matter of fact, she's kinda clingly......to me.....where Peach and Zelda are very sweet and caring. Not like Elincia isn't but....eh I don't wanna talk about it. (Sorry if you ship ElinciaXIke :( )

"Good. We just got back from seeing Samus and we decided to come here. Funny seeing you here hm?" Zelda then said

"Also, she said that you helped her back to the infirmary. She has something she wants to tell you. I also find it surprising that you haven't gone to see her these past few weeks considering that you lo-"

I put my hand over Peach's mouth with a finger over my mouth and I then said "shhhh!" While quietly saying to them that I do NOT like her. In any romantic way what so ever.

Peach was toally processing this through her head but, I know it didn't get threw. Zelda laughed knowing it too while I soulfully regretted the day when I went looking for Samus and went to their dorm.

I took my hand off her mouth and turned my gaze back to the busy streets of Smashville. I guess I should go visit her....its been about three weeks anyways. I then looked at Peach as she smiled at me. "I guess I should see her" I then said getting up.

"You made the right choice, Ike" Zelda commented while Peach said that it was kinda obvious she was on my mind for a few seconds everyday.

I rolled my eyes and started to walk away signaling that I gave up on peach's new ship. I don't understand why she finds Samus and I so perfect. I excited the cafe and walked back to the property of Smash Mansion. As I entered I walked down to the infirmary and opened the doors. I was greeted by Dr. Mario. He led me to Samus' room and I saw her looking at her plasma whip attached to her gun.

"Morning...." I said as she tried to ignore me. "You can't not acknowledge me" Again she tried to ignore me. But, I finally got why she was so quiet. She felt all this was her fault. I can relate to this. "Hey....this isn't your fault Samus" I said while sitting next to her on the bed. After about two minutes of good silence both of our blue eyes met each other but there was a difference. She had tears....in her eyes.

"H-Hey....don't cry...It's ok....No one is mad at you. It's not your fault."

"It is, Ike. The Space Pirates. What if next time i-it's something worse?"

"That could happen.....if there is a next time." I looked out the window to now see rain start to come down and gracefully touch the windows with its wetness. Making a 'pitter-patter' sound. "You need to not worry about that. If there ever is a next time we will be ready. If the Dark Knight were to come here for me.....I wouldn't just be scared for everyone's safety but angry. But I shouldn't fight him alone if I have my comrades near me. So, for one, don't ever fight alone like that again, and two, stop feeling so down. It's not your fault and never was. Got it?" I gave her a goofy smile.

She nodded and then spoke. "You smile like an idiot...."

"I did that on purpose!"

"Smile like an idiot?" She laughed quietly for one of the first times

"Yes! To make you laugh, which you are...." I smirked happily and watched her get embarrassed while crossing her arms over her chest and look away

"W-Whatever! Shut up Ike...."

"Aww, your so mean Sammy....."

She turned and glared at me. "Where did you learn that?!"

"Peach"

"Great, just great...."

"I'm just playing, geez....but....I will call you Sam"

"You know.....if I refuse this you'll just annoy me.....and if I dont....you'll still annoy me."

"Mhm" I chuckled.

"I hate you...."

"Doesn't sound like it"

"Thank you....." she then mumbled

I heard her but wanted to tease her.....it's better if I didnt though. For her mood. "Your welcome"

The door opened and Master Hand came in. "Samus....."

"Yes, Master Hand?" She then replied

"Your responsible for the past event right?"

"Ye-"

"No I am." I then said.

"Alright then come with me Ike."

"Sure......" I glanced one more time at Samus and mouthed the words 'I'll be fine' and 'your welcome'

I could tell she was shocked. Well... I wonder what kinda punishment I'll get...

Samus' POV

What the hell is wrong with that blue haired swordsmen?! He's such a dumbass.....yet.....I....am kinda happy to know him. He just saved me and made me feel better. Which I kinda hate that feeling but.....ugh forget it. He gets me so mad. Just thinking about him makes my blood boil. UGHHH. I then continued to look at my gun until Dr. Mario came back.
