As long as I can remember, I, Cayden Mikalis, have been attracted to males. I'm more romantically attracted than sexually attracted to the same sex and/or gender. My parents and best friend since toddlers, Amelia, accept me for my sexuality. Yet, in school, that is a totally different story. I had to become home schooled because the bullying became so severe.

"Cayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, waaaaaaaaaaake uppppppp!!!" I felt my bed shaking slightly and a little pressure on my chest. I slowly crack open my eyes and see Amelia sitting on my chest. "Gah! Amelia, what are you doing?" I bolt up and knock Amelia off of me. I hear her giggle. "Ah, I love your reactions. So cute. You're going to make one guy very happy soon." Soon? How soon? What did she mean by soon?

She runs out of my room calling "get dressed. We're going to the park together to meet someone." I sigh and slip out of bed, almost falling onto the floor. She does this every morning whether it's a school day, weekend, or vacation day. I wish I could go back to sleep.

Wait, did she say we're going out to meet someone? Who is this someone? Why didn't she tell me who this someone is? They aren't homophobic, right? If they are then we may have a few issues.

But what if it's a guy and he's gay like me? And if he's hot? SCOOOORE!!!!!

If that happens, I may have to thank Amelia later for that.

I start to dress myself in a plain black shirt with the word "Pride" in white letters plastered across the front, a pair of comfortable jeans, and my favorite pair of high tops.

I walk out of my room and see Amelia waiting for me by the front door. "Come on, slow poke. We don't want to keep him waiting."
