The one who left
I have the Chaos stamp of angst approval for this one. that's all the warning you get.
The day was filled with laughter, a small family of three doing family things.
Mana did not understand why his parents seemed so tired, but he was happy as they were spending all there time with him.
He loved mamas scarf, the bow bounced as he walked and he sometimes pretended they were wings.
Butterfly wings of course.
Today they'd had a picnic, in a really nice place filled with flowers.
They were there for hours and hours, daddy chasing him then tickled him till he squeaked instead of giggled.
"What do you want to do when you grow up Mana?" Blue asked nuzzling him, Mana made a humming noise. Mana was laying across Blues chest, his his starry jacket sprawled around him.
"I want to fly" Mana said eagerly, he reached up and played with his scarf making the bow flap like wings
"Not quite like what I meant" Blue chuckled.
A confused mew escaped Mana, feline ears spawning and laying flat.
"Don't worry about it Mana" Error said from where he sat, he was idly playing with strings.
Laughter broke out as Mana leapt from Blue and onto Error, tiny hands reaching for the strings.
"Do you want to learn to make shapes?" Error asked, the child nodded eyes bright.
"This... Is called a cats cradle" Error told him, Mana leaned against his daddy eyes sparkling in happiness.
------
"We had so little time" Blue said softly, he rocked the sleeping Mana in his arms.
"All parenthood is too short" Error replied looking away.
"Not like this" Blue said brokenly.
They were silent, enjoying the sound of Manas breathing and little mews he made in his sleep.
"He's so precious, he's barely began to live... we won't see that" Blue cried, tears slipped down his gave dropping onto Mana's skull.
"No.. we won't" Error grieved.
"He'll be alone again, what if he never finds anyone again?" Blue asked, surely there is a way for them to follow there child.
Error could only comfort his mate.
------
"Good boy"
The time kid stared emptily forward, not reacting to the one petting his skull.
His sins stood before him, minus Malice who had failed and died to a brat. There was still empty spots, he smiled and pushed his toy away uncaring.
"This minion broke the codes keeping time running correctly on a multiverse, while it didn't find the gem its causing many distractions. Dear Hurt, I leave him for you to command" Mara said, then dismissed them all.
Hurt smirked and kicked his new minion, this he could work with.
"He needs a name. To many minions already" Desire giggled.
"Hmm..." Hurt said lazily.
Desire waited.
"Sock" he said.
"Sock?" Desire said hoping they heard wrong.
"Yup... sock" Hurt replied.
"Bastard, that's not even a name" Desire said annoyed.
"Come sock" Hurt demanded, he walked away.
Sock followed.
"Stupid Sloth" Desire scowled.
------
It was a quiet groups of monsters that made final adjustments, a feeling of desperation making them work harder and through exhaustion.
They had such little time, not enough time to really test it.
After all, the final test would be against the void.
"I was hoping we wouldn't have to use it" Error said as another monster opened the strange capsule like device, an escape ship for one.
"Reminds me of the old superman comics and movies" Blues joked.
"DC junkie" Error smirked, Blue sputtered as if insulted.
"He'll stay asleep right..." Blue whispered gently placing the sleeping Mana inside it, gently he kissed there skull.
"I placed his codes in suspension, he won't wake or change till the capsule is opened again" Error promised, gently squeezing Blues hand. He moved over giving Mana his own kiss, then gently tucked there toys around him and his favourite books. Then he pulled out a blanket, Blue gasped at the blanket that matched there sons jacket filled with Errors magic.
Too much magic...
"Its a good thing we don't have to worry about gifting that much magic anymore, before that would reduce you permanently" Blue said with a smile.
"He'll need it"
"We love you Mana, our little treasure" Blue said as the escape capsule began to close with a hiss.
"We'll be watching kid, sleep well son" Error said.
There was a final click, and a screeching sound as it blasted off.
"Just in time" Blue said leaning against Error.
"Just in time" Error agreed as everything began to shake.
"I'll see you on the other side" Blue promised, they shared a kiss.
The kiss never ended.
