Chaos Guide
Mana was lost, very very lost.
He had not known the anti-void was this big, or that apparently if you went far enough you somehow enter another anti-void.
He had not liked the fact, that if you walked certain ways you could find entrances to the void. He'd quickly fled, his instincts screaming to sleep or be swallowed. The jacket Daddy had given him was somehow protecting him from this place, and this place felt icky.
Time felt wonky here.
"Hungry..." Mana grumbled his tummy rumbling, he had no food and he really wanted some.
That and sleep.
But that same instinct that told him to flee the void entrances, told him stopping to sleep was a bad idea.
"Murp?"
"Eh...?" Mana said confused, looking around. No one was there, just endless white.
Pat pat pat
He looked down and blinked, a large fuzzy very black cat stood by his food.
They had startling bright red eyes, and the end of there ears and tail seemed to have red energy forming from them.
"Are you lost kitty?" Mana asked leaning down, the feline purred.
"What are you, kitties don't live here.." he said confused, rubbing the felines thick warm fur.
"Check.. right.. I can check you.." He mumbled, now how had mama shown him how to do checks on others. It had been a brief lesson, just one of many... apparently it was harder to check outside a fight encounter.
"Check..." he said calling upon his magic, he blinked as a magic window appeared.
"No name... okay... other stats I didn't get trained on so.. no idea. Oh! Its giving me an outline" Mana said happily, the feline batted the screen curious. Checks made no sense.
Void Cats are born between the Void and Anti-void, there white fur blends them into the anti-void and there health are determined by the strength of the magical energy shown on the ears and tail. They can go invisible within the anti-void and are hunted as pets. They are extremely rare. This is a Chaos Variant, the Void cats sub variant there version of albinoism.
That, was a lot of energy.
"You don't quite in here do you, any chance you know a way out?" Mana asked, The chaos Cat mewed and ran ahead pausing in wait. Mana grinned and ran forward.
------
"Are we lost?"
A purr was his answer, Mana sighed as he was quite tired.
"Can we take a break?" he asked hopefully.
The felines ears twitched, and there startling red eyes peered around before they sat down with a mew.
With a groan of exhaustion he lay on the 'ground' of the anti-void exhausted, his feet and legs hurt from there continued journey.
"Murp.." the Chaos cat mewed suddenly plopping on top of Mana, there face inches from his own.
"Your a silly kitty..." he said petting there silky black ears, he summoned his own ears and tail and giggled as the feline poked at the ecto ears fascinated. This continued for several minutes, the actual feline seemed obsessed with them.
"We're we avoiding something? You seemed be taking a bit of a strange route," he asked, the feline looked smugger then smug... a face all felines seemed to be able to do easily.
"Right... just a small.. bre..."
The Chaos cat blinked then yawned showing needle sharp teeth, before falling asleep on top on Mana.
------
"We tell no one of my nap cat" Mana said as they walked, the Void cat just continues to walk its tail he swore was moving in amusement "Mana is not a baby and doesn't need naps"
He totally had needed it, it was the first time he slept since he said goodbye to Fable.
He hoped they met again, hopefully by then he'd feel less broken of his adoptive parents deaths.
Still he was hungry beyond belief, and he still wanted sleep.
Mana was flagging, feeling ready to drop.
A sniffle escaped him, he couldn't break down crying here.
Thump...
"Mew?" The feline said startled. It shifted and quickly rushed to Mana who had finally collapsed unable to continue.
"Murp..." they said nudging them with there face, the child did not even move or make a sound.
After several minutes the feline sped off.
-------
"Give that back!"
A small black and red form sped across the anti-void, a blue scarf in his mouth.
"Please! Its all I have left of my brother!" the voice begged.
Suddenly the feline skid to a stop, there small form heaving for air as they nuzzled the small form on the ground.
"Thank goodness..." Papyrus said carefully taking the scarf, then realized the reason the cat had forced him to chase it through the anti-void,
"Crap..." the swap Papyrus said scooping the small child up, thankfully the cat showed him the way out also.
