Chapter2: The OutLawed Battle
Chapter2-The OutLawed Battle
February 22, 2010
It's a few weeks later. 7th Anthem's single, Camera Time, was a huge hit. They went back to London to return to filming their TV series.
As they were arriving to the set in their costumes, they saw Ethan walking up to them. He had a group of people walking behind him.
Alyson asked him, "Why are the actors playing the students following you?"
Ethan smiled as he replied, "These people are my group. We are The OutLaws."
Andrew asked, "The OutLaws?"
Ethan said, "I would've named them UTurn, but you bought that name. So I picked this new name from a lyric of a song of yours. Should I introduce you my band-mates?"
The 7A members stared at him, but he ignored them, and said, "That's Kendall, Paul, Lilly, Alice, Marissa, and Trisha."
Justin said, "We know who they are, Ethan."
"Now, if you excuse us, we're going to sign a recording contract."
Andrew told him, "You can't leave. We have filming to do."
Ethan said, "You and Alyson are about to film a sex scene. So, we're leaving."
Then Ethan and his new band walked away, leaving 7A concerned.
It's was about an hour later. Andrew and Alyson just wrapped up filming the sex scene. They were changing into their "normal" costumes.
Alyson said to Andrew, "Do you think Ethan's band will get signed?"
Andrew thought for a moment, and said, "Probably. I bet whatever label he signs onto, they'll be glad. They might want a band to rival us."
Once the couple were fully dressed, they met up with the other 7A members. Trevor asked the couple, "What are we gonna do about Ethan's band?"
Andrew replied, "There's not much we can do. It's not like we can pull a court-ordered mandate to stop him."
Amanda asked, "You're sure?"
Andrew said, "Trust me, his band is our competition now. I'd like to sue him, but it's unreasonable."
Alyson said, "What we can do is beat his band on the charts. We're an established band. We've been around since we were 15. The only competition we had to worry about was Jump5, and even then that was nothing. Now that we're gaining international success. We can take down The OutLaws."
"I wouldn't be so confident if I was you."
The 7A members turned, and saw who it was. It was Ethan. He approached them, and said smugly, "My band just got signed to Fascination Records. We're also picked up by 19 Management. In case you're wondering, these are the same labels that worked with the band you're trying to rip off, S Club 8."
Andrew said, "You can't be serious."
Alyson confronted Ethan, "We were not trying to rip off S Club 8. We were influenced by them. And as for your band, 7th Anthem won't let you succeed. We're an established band that's gaining success worldwide. Your band, on the other hand, is your sorry attempt to bring us down."
Ethan said coldly, "You're just scared that you now have competition. An established band always need a rival to challenge them."
Then he faced Andrew, and taunted, "Andy, you mad? Are you gonna throw another lawsuit at me?"
Andrew said coldly, "We'll bring you down anyway we can."
With that, Ethan walked away.
It's the next day. Both 7A and The OutLaws were forced to go to a meeting with the writers of The Delinquents. Both bands weren't talking to each other. Then the writers entered the "classroom" set.
Andrew asked, "So, why are we here? Shouldn't we have the meeting in a conference room?"
Ethan said, "For once, the Hawthorne fraud has a point."
Andrew glared at Ethan, and looked away. One of the writers explained, "Look, we found out that Ethan has formed a pop group, and that they just got signed. So we came up with this idea: Both 7th Anthem and The OutLaws do a battle-of-the-bands arc."
Alyson asked, "For series 3, right?"
"No, for the current series."
With that, both bands were upset with this announcement. Andrew said, "We're about to film episode 5, and the plot for the entire series has been written out. I think it would be best if this new arc is in series 3."
The writer asked the two bands, "What do you all think? Can we squeeze this new arc in, or save it for the series?"
The 7A members agreed to the latter. Even The OutLaws preferred to wait. The writers agreed with them, and then they walked away.
As both bands were leaving the "classroom," Ethan grabbed Andrew, and confronted him, "You all should've added that arc!"
Andrew sighed heavily, and said, "It makes sense to save it for season 3 than to shove it in for the current season. Besides, The Delinquents is 7th Anthem's show, not yours. If you want your own show, then leave."
"You'd like that, wouldn't you?" Ethan asked bitterly.
Andrew gave a smirk as he replied, "Anything for you to stay the hell away from us."
Then Andrew walked away, leaving Ethan fuming.
