A/N: This is the short story that Alyson wrote in first grade. It wasn't easy trying to recreate the sentence structure of a six-year-old. But here it is.

Alyson's First Grade Short Story: The Monster

My name is Alyson Sarah Bauer.

I am 6.

I live in Boston.

This is my school.

This is my first grade class.

This is my teacher Mrs. McCreary.

This is my best friend in the whole wide world Bailey.

This is The Monster.

He is a bully.

He cannot talk.

He only makes sounds.

He scares all the kids in the school.

He bullys me the most.

He chases me all over the school.

I hate him.

I yell at him I hate you.

I hit him with a book.

1 day he was gone.

I did not see him.

I was happy.
