ChapterSix-Saving the Boy 

September 18th, 2006

 It's a week later, and Riley and Maurice are now officially dating. The UTurn members approve of Marcus. They even allowed him to visit their house.

 Marcus just got out of his classes when he arrived at the UTurn house. Riley was reading UTurn fan fictions on a fan-site. She opened the door to see him standing at the door.

 She happily said, "Marcus! What brings you by on a Monday?"

 Marcus said, "I just escaped from my classes so I can take you out on a coffee date."

 "You mean your classes just ended, and you couldn't wait to get out."

 Marcus laughed, "Smart. Yeah, they're torture without you."

 "Well, if I wasn't in UTurn, then I'd be at Harvard with you. But I'm living the dream of being a popstar."

 So Marcus took Riley to a nearby posh coffee-shop. They stayed there for about an hour. As they left, they saw a teenage boy dressed in emo attire. He looked like he was about to run into the streets.

 Riley asked, "What's that guy doing?"

 Marcus said, "He looks like he's about to run into the traffic."

 With that, Marcus ran after the emo boy, who happened to be running into the traffic. He jumped on the boy, and they both rolled to the other side of the crosswalk. As soon as it was safe to walk across, Riley ran over to the two guys.

 Riley exclaimed, "Marcus! Are you okay?"

 He said, "This guy here was trying to commit suicide!"

 Riley asked the boy, "Hey, what's your name?"

 The boy asked in an irritated tone, "Why do you wanna know?"

 "So we can take you back to your parents."

 The boy scoffed, "What parents? They ain't alive! And besides, no popstar is gonna make return to my so-called family."

 "Just give me your name."

 "The name's Trevor Dixon. So what now? You're gonna turn me in? Put me into rehab? My life is worthless now."

 Marcus said, "Don't say that. If you're going through problems, suicide is never the answer."

 Riley said, "Okay, Trevor, let's take you to my house. It's not from here."

 Trevor reluctantly agreed to this.

 The UTurn members were back in their house. They had some time off from recording their second album. Then they saw Riley and Marcus...with another guy. The members were shocked by this.

 Ethan angrily asked, "What is that emo doing here?"

 Riley explained, "His name is Trevor, and he's staying with us until we figure out his living situation."

 Amanda asked, "Are you sure our manager will be cool with this?"

 Bailey said, "I have to agree with Amanda. We're already taking a risk by letting your boyfriend in our house."

 Justin asked, "Riley, what's Trevor's living situation?"

 Riley replied, "He might be homeless."

 Trevor scoffed, "If you consider an orphanage a home, then yeah I'm homeless."

 Amanda asked, "You're from an orphanage?"

 Trevor said, "Until I'm 18. I'm 16 right now."

 Ethan said, "I don't get it. He's homeless and from an orphanage?"

 Andrew said out of irritation, "No, stupid, he escaped from an orphanage...wait, Trevor, why are you an orphan?"

 Trevor flatly explained, "Parents dead. Unwanted by relatives and foster families. Dropped out of a rich private school."

 Ethan said sarcastically, "You're rich, and no one wants you? I'm sure Hawthorne's useless parents can help you."

 Andrew scolded Ethan, "Jackson, don't bring that up again. My parents helped you any way they could. And I'm sure they could help Trevor."

 Trevor asked, "Help me in what? Emancipation?"

 Andrew thought for a moment, and then he said, "Actually, that's not a bad idea. If you haven't gotten the hint, my parents are very well-known lawyers. I'm sure they could help."

 Bailey said, "Okay, Andrew, we may have gotten the emancipation down. But where will Trevor live?"

 Riley said, "We can hide him here. Besides, I'm 19. I can be his guardian."

 Ethan said, "Yeah, except we have a chaperone visiting us every single day. She find out we're hiding Trevor. Plus, she'll report us to Maurice."

 Riley said, "Okay, we hide him at your school."

 Trevor asked. "Is it a public school?"

 Alyson replied, "It's Beacon Hill High, and it's a public school."

 Andrew scoffed, "It's got the best education in all of Boston, but their social status sucks."

 Ethan said, "You're just saying that cuz you're now the one being bullied, instead of you bullying others."

 Trevor said, "And my parents refused to take me to that school. Or any other public school for that matter."

 Amanda asked, "You're from the Beacon Hill neighborhood?"

 Trevor said, "Used too, until I was sent to an orphanage."

 Bailey said, "You know what? Let's just tell our manager this situation. Maybe he'll allow Trevor to live with us until he gets emancipated."

 At unison, the UTurn members said, "No!"

 Then Ethan asked, "How about we bribe our chaperone to stay silent?"

 Then Marcus said as he was looking out the window, "I'd hate to break it to you, but I see a woman walking to your house. I'm guessing she's your chaperone?"

 Justin said hastily, "Trevor, Marcus, in my room, now!"

 So Trevor and Marcus went into Justin's room, and Riley, Andrew, and Alyson also went into the room.

 Andrew whispered to them, "Okay, let's just have Trevor live with my parents until he gets emancipated. If his parents left a will for him, my parents can look into it. In the meantime, he must go to our school, no matter how much it sucks."

 Trevor said, "You sure sound like you could be a lawyer if you weren't busy being Justin Timberlake."

 Andrew scoffed, "Don't bring up the whole lawyer thing. I get enough of that from my grandparents."

 Riley asked Andrew in an irritated tone, "Andrew, can you please talk to your parents?"

 He replied as he got out his cellphone, "What does it look like I'm doing?"

 So Andrew called his parents, and told them the Trevor situation. After a heated 15 minutes, he hung up. Alyson asked, "So what did they say?"

 He replied, "They don't like it, but they're going for it. And Trevor, there's a guest room in my house. You'll live in there."

 Trevor asked, "Do you live near here?"

 "It's a little drive from here, but not too far. I'll drive you once the chaperone's outta sight."

 Trevor agrees. And after a few hours, Andrew drove Trevor to his house. Andrew's parents took in Trevor, and soon Andrew left.
