At the playground,
Morning...
Midoriya's POV
"Haru-kun!" I stood up from the bench when I saw my sidekick walking toward me. "Izuku-san, it is very rare to see you so early in morning." Haru-kun — also known as Kagami — exclaimed delightfully. We both shook hands while smiling at each other.
Haruka Aozaki. Hero name: Kagami.
His Quirk is called Mirror Teleportation. He can teleport into any mirror and even bring people into the mirror world.
"Hehehe, I feel like jogging today." I grinned widely at Haru-kun before we agreed to sit down on the bench. "Haru-kun, what are you doing here? You don't usually leave your house so early too, do you?" I asked, tilting my head in curiosity. His face turned faintly red. "I was... Taking a stroll around the neighbourhood." He answered, scratching his cheek.
I met Haru-kun during U.A. sport festival three years ago. He was still a first-year student back then but he showed such a potential to become a great hero. His passion and spirit were the reason I was attracted to him.
He had the heart of a true hero. Like All Might!
Haru-kun was a shy and awkward boy. He constantly stuttered when we talked. This personality of his kinda reminded me of my teenager self.
Because we both showed such chemistry, I invited him to do work study at my agency. I was more than happy to welcome him. Now, we have known each other for three years.
He is a kind-hearted and great guy. That was why I broke my principle and hired him as my sidekick.
What principle? Well, to be frank, I have decided not to take in any sidekick.
But Haru-kun is an exceptional.
I was thinking about it... Thoroughly...
His potential, his determination, his spirit, his passion...
Were something needed to be a suitable successor of One For All.
Maybe, one day I will tell him the truth about my Quirk. Because...
I shifted my attention to this shy boy next to me. He was fidgeting in the bench, fingers fiddling restlessly.
I trusted him the most.
"Oh yeah, now that you are here, why don't you come over to my place for breakfast? My parents are home though. You don't mind?" I sincerely invited as I slowly stood up from the bench. Offering my hand to Haru-kun, I grinned ear-to-ear at him.
"E-eh, are you serious?" Haru-kun took my hand and stood up from the seat. He seemed uncertain about my honest proposituon. "Yes, I'm serious. If you don't come with me, I will fire you." I declared playfully but I guessed my teasing had gone too far.
"HUH??!!" Haru-kun gasped in total shock and I swore, I could hear his heart cracking. Woah— he was that stupefied by my joke?
"Wait, wait— It is just a harmless joke, okay? Just a joke!" I ruffled his aqua blue hair to calm him down. Tears already flowed down his cheeks. Argh... Now I felt bad. I just hurt my precious sidekick's feelings.
"Aww, Haru-kun... Don't cry..."
"I-I'm... Sorry... I will come with you so please don't throw me out, Izuku-san!" He cried out, chibi tears were flooding in his sapphire blue eyes. I opened my arms and he surged forward to hug me, his head leaning on my right shoulder. "There, there..." I patted his back reassuringly.
So precious and cute...
"Well, let's go now!" As soon as we untangled ourselves, I hooked my arm with his and dragged him to my apartment.
Monoma-kun's words still bother me, but now that Haru-kun is here, I suddenly forget all sadness bottling up within me.
As I thought, Haru-kun... Is someone I should treasure with all my heart.

After the breakfast,
A few hours later,
In the city...
Third Person's POV
"Wah~ It has been forever since I got the time to relax!" Izuku exhaled her breath in content, enjoying the relaxing air of the sunny day. Haruka was still averting his eyes from his boss as his mind recalled the scenario that happened in Izuku's residence.
"Oh my, is this your boyfriend, Izu?! Thank you for looking out for my daughter, Aozaki-kun!" Inko shook hands with Haruka, a wide smile plastered on the older woman's face.
"Mom, you got it wrong! This man here is my sidekick! You know, the one I mentioned before!" Izuku shushed her mother in embarrassment, her face flushing. Haruka remained silent, eyes twitching in disbelief. How come Inko could mistake him for Izuku's boyfriend?
'Someone like me... Someone like me as Izuku-san's boyfriend...? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! IMPOSSIBLE!' Haruka shuddered at the thoughts coming into his mind. He quickly shook his head, his gaze locked on the two Midoriyas.
"That is... Impossible to happen..."
"What did you say?"
Haruka returned to the real world after a while of spacing out. "Oh, it is nothing, Izuku-san. So, where are we heading now?" He dodged the topic, hands shoved into the pocket of his hoodie.
"Hm... I don't know... Why don't you suggest some places?" Izuku turned to her sidekick, slightly bending over with her hands clasping behind. Her soft lips curled into a sweet smile that managed to pierce Haruka's heart with an arrow.
"O-oh, if you insisted... Then Shinjuku Shopping Mall? I heard it was opened just recently. Wanna check it out?" The ocean blue-haired man suggested, his thumb pointing to a gigantic building. There, many people were walking in and out from the building.
"Wow, great idea! Let's go then!" Izuku grasped his wrist and pulled him to the shopping mall. Out of excitement, the female greenette accidentally activated One For All at 8% and bolted into the mall.
"Wait, Izuku-san— Slow down! Slow down!!!" Haruka cried out in terror at the inhuman speed his boss used..

Shinjuku Shopping Mall...
Monoma's POV
I studied the clothes I was having trouble choosing. There were various styles and colours. I wasn't the most stylish guy but I loved to be fashionable. Sadly, I didn't have a good taste in style.
Which one shall I choose..?
Argh, too many options that my head is starting to get dizzy now!
"Hurry up! Jeez, you are so slow!" A familiar woman's voice erupted through the loud crowds, gaining my attention. I turned to look at the outside of the clothes store... And my heart dropped.
Midoriya...
... Is together with a man.
"Izuku-san, you are way too fast! I can't even catch up with you!" That light blue-haired man whined as his hand was pulled by Midoriya. "Then you should train more, Haru-kun!" Midoriya retorted teasingly before pat that guy's head.
They are even on first name basis??
Is that guy... Is that guy... Midoriya's boyfriend?!
That is not possible! Kendo told me she doesn't have a boyfriend yet!
I have to find out... I need to investigate this.
Balling my palm into a fist, I exited the clothing store. Midoriya was quick to notice my presence so I gave her my best kind smile.
"Yo, Midoriya. Looks like we meet again." I greeted the two lovebirds joyfully, waving my hand at them. "Monoma-kun, what are you doing here?" She seemed quite flabbergasted to see me here.
"Ah, I'm just out searching for some new attire. Why are you here..." I shifted my attention to the man next to her. "...with this unknown person?" I said sarcastically.
"Oh, this man is my sidekick, Haruka Aozaki. His hero name is Kagami." Midoriya introduced her sidekick to me. "I'm Haruka Aozaki also known as Kagami. Nice to meet you, Phantom Thief." He extended his arm to shake hands with me.
I kindly extended my arm and shook hands with him. In that process, I squeezed his hand so firmly out of anger. "Nice to meet you too, Kagami. But please, call me by my real name in public. I'm Monoma." I tugged my kind smile for him.
Aozaki began to sweat heavily. "I-I see, Monoma-san then." He closed his eyes, avoiding eye contact with me.
I retracted my hand from him and rubbed my chin. "Now that we have stumbled upon each other, why don't we go have coffee together?"
"Um... I—"
"WARGH!!! VILLAINS ARE IN HERE!!!"
What a PERFECT timing to ruin my day....
