Chapter3-Curious Behaviour

March 2nd, 2011

 It's now March. 7th Anthem's new single, Lights On, was a Top 10 hit. Now they're getting ready to start rehearsals for their up-coming tour, and their next single, Hypnotizer. All this while filming The Delinquents.

 Melissa was in her office, setting up appointments for singers and pop bands. Ever since she was fired by 7A, she was hit with a lawsuit by the band for spying on them and stealing their personal files. She hired the best lawyers, but she knew that there was no way of winning when the band has Andrew Hawthorne and his lawyer parents.

 She needed a break from meetings and lawsuits. So she decided to get back to her plot to destroy Andyson. She saw how the young couple went from being distant to lovey-dovey in a matter of seconds. She could tell that they were back. Even the break-up rumours died down. They were just as hot as Bailstin.

 Feeling disparate, Melissa decided to read text messages she received by hacking into 7A's cell-phones. These texts were from before they got new phones and encrypting them. She read the messages that were exchanged between Andrew and Alyson.

 She didn't understand why the young couple had to text each other. She felt disgusted reading the romantic texts...that is until she saw something interesting. After reading through the texts, and similar messages. She called up Ethan.

 A bit later Ethan arrived at her office. He saw her grinning from ear to ear. He asked, "You got something?"

 Melissa replied as she held a packet of papers, "Oh, I got something. It won't stop the lawsuit, but it could potentially break up Andrew and Alyson. Maybe for good."

 Now it was Ethan's turn to grin, and it was full of scheming. He asked, "What is it that could permanently end Andyson?"

 She gave him the packet as she explained, "Do you remember when you told me that you think there's something about Andrew that doesn't sit with you? Well, I think I know what it is. There are texts exchanged between Andrew and Alyson. He was complaining to her about a choreographer named Brandon. I'm guessing this guy is 7th Anthem's choreographer. Anyway, Andrew was saying how rude and arrogant Brandon is. Alyson's not saying much, just that she's okay with Andrew ragging as she had a crush on the guy."

 Ethan stared at Melissa, and asked, "Do you know who this Brandon is?"

 "When I was reading the texts, I remembered that Alyson would have posters in her room. The posters were of that band she was obsessed with, S Club 8. She would have posters of two of three guys in that band. One was some guy with crazy brown hair. Calvin, I think his name was. The other guy had a toothy grin. I think it was Brandon. So I looked into band, and Brandon Hilton. I looked at his Twitter page and the most recent pictures. I figured that Brandon is gay."

 Ethan said, "I knew Brandon was gay. I knew since Beacon Hill High became obsessed with S Club 8. But what's that got to do with Andrew?"

 Melissa said, "Based on the texts, Andrew seems a bit obsessed with Brandon. He's always criticizing Brandon."

 "So you're saying that Andrew might have a crush on Brandon?"

 "Exactly."

 Ethan, once again, gave an evil grin. He said, "This is brilliant. I kind of sensed that Andrew might be bisexual, but I wasn't sure. I remember when he and I used to be friends, he would always tell me about his experience in dance classes, acting lessons, and TV stints. He didn't say much about what he thought about the girls, but he would always talk about how either great or rude the guys were. At the same time, he would say how much he wanted to be with Alyson, but was too prideful to tell her."

 "Really? I always thought that boy was trouble for Alyson. But did she listen to me? No; instead she ran into his arms and slept with him."

 Ethan thought for a moment, and said, "You should meet with Brandon, and convince him to seduce Andrew. If Andrew falls for him, then he'll break up with Alyson. Then we'll watch and see if he turns from bisexual to gay, or remains bi."

 "It'll have to be by chance that I run into Brandon."

 "Let the end of Andyson begin," Ethan said with a grin.

 It's the next morning. Melissa was at a Starbucks getting her coffee. As she was waiting in line, she saw a guy walking away from the counter after making his purchase. She saw that it was Brandon.

 She grabbed his arm to stop him from walking away. He said to her in an irritated tone, "Do you mind?"

 Melissa laughed as she said, "Sorry, it's just I recognized you from my little sister's posters of S Club 8."

 Brandon said with uncertainty, "Okay, but I think your sister needs to know that S Club 8 is long gone. Even my hair isn't the same anymore."

 "Oh no, she's about 21 or 22 now. She was fan when she was 14. She's in that band, UTurn."

 "You mean 7th Anthem? There are 4 girls in that band. Which one is supposedly your little sister?"

 "Alyson, and I'm aware of the band's name. And if you need proof that she's my sister, here's a picture of us before she did that band thing."

 She showed a photo of Alyson and Melissa when they were brunettes and teenagers. Brandon recognized Alyson, so he soften his tone, "Okay, I believe you. What's your name? You do look familiar."

 "Melissa's the name, and I should be familiar. I'm dating Ethan Jackson."

 "Him? I met him a whilst back. He's kind of a dick. I can see why the 7th Anthem members don't like him. They even told me all the damage he caused them."

 "Well, I need to talk to you about Andrew Hawthorne. You know, the guy with the black hair who went from teen heartthrob to a young sex symbol."

 "I know who he is. I'm the band's choreographer. And yes, he is sexy. You get your order, and I'll get a table for us."

 Melissa smiled, and ordered her drink. Once she got her coffee, she sat across from Brandon. He asked her, "Do you know Andrew personally?"

 Melissa scoffed, "Know him? I went to school with him. He and Alyson would always make trouble for each other. Once the two got together, I thought they wouldn't last since they hated each other. They sure showed me otherwise."

 "They hated each other? They look like they're in love with each other, though they both act very..."

 "Bratty? Pushy?"

 "I was going to say that they're very arrogant and upfront, but what you said can also apply to them."

 "So, what's your opinion on Andrew?"

 Brandon then hesitated. He bit his lip as he explained, "I'll admit he's hot, but I don't like his attitude. He acts like he's the shit. Sure, he has more experience in being in the entertainment industry than I did. He also looks uncomfortable being around me."

 "Do you think he has feelings for you?"

 Brandon laughed as he replied, "He's complicated. He tries to pick a fight with me, but I would catch him staring at me and blushing. He's straight, but I think he might be bi-curious."

 Melissa then said, "You know, Andrew used to be like that towards Alyson. Then again, Alyson did the same thing to him. Anyway, if Andrew's giving you mixed messages, then he might be bisexual. But don't get your hopes up. He might be bi, but he has a tendency to return to Alyson. Always."

 With that, Brandon became visibly annoyed. He said, "I'm not gonna steal him away from Alyson. If he wants to leave her to be with me, let him do. I'm not gonna force Andrew to change."

 "But he obviously wants you."

 "So? Let him deal with it."

 "Just try to flirt with him. I bet he wants you to."

 "I doubt it. That wouldn't bring him to me. Instead, he'll get aggravated."

 Melissa then looked on her phone. She got up from her seat, and said, "Look, I have to go now. Just consider seducing Andrew. You two deserve each other. Oh, and I'm going to write you a check, just to keep quiet. No one, not even that bitch Alyson, should know about this."

 Brandon got up from his seat, and asked, "You're bribing me to keep quiet about this plot? Alyson is your sister. You shouldn't treat her like this. Andrew is her boyfriend. He belongs with her. It doesn't matter if he's bi, he will be with her."

 Melissa took out her checkbook, and said as she wrote, "Maybe 2000 pounds will change your mind. But you need to do this. I want her torn apart."

 Brandon said sternly, "I will not take your money. I will not see Alyson heartbroken over the man she loved her whole life."

 She said sternly, "Do it, or I'll will destroy your career."

 "And how will you do that? You don't even know me. You just know me as the guy in S Club Juniors."

 She gave an evil grin as she handed him the check, "I have my sources."

 Melissa placed the check on the table, and walked out of the coffee-shop. Brandon held the check in his hands. He really wasn't that crazy about Andrew. He didn't even like him. At the same time, he respects Alyson, and doesn't want to see her heartbroken. He knew what it felt like. Yet, he's scared of what Melissa is capable of. She's with Ethan, so there's no telling what could happen.

 Will he accept the check? Will he move forward with this plot? Will it work?
