Chapter2-Plots Exposed

 At the same time, Brandon was in the waiting room, busy on iPhone. Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice at the reception desk. He looked up, and saw a young woman. She looked disheveled.

 As he walked up closer to her, he called out, "Melissa?"

 She turned, and it was Melissa! She approached Brandon. She was apparently frightened. He asked her, "What are you doing here?"

 Melissa explained as she pleaded, "Brandon, you have to help me! Ethan is trying to kill me. Literally!"

 "Wait a minute, he's trying to kill you?"

 "Yes! He shot at me! You can see the holes in my jacket. Please, you have to save me. I get you're mad at me for paying you to turn Andrew gay, but please put aside what I did, and help me."

 Brandon didn't know what to say. He knew Ethan was a psycho, but he didn't expect him to be a killer. As for Melissa, she may have plotted with Ethan, and she may have bribed Brandon to seduce Andrew, but he could see she was serious.

 Just as he was about to respond, he saw the 7th Anthem members entering the waiting room. They were surprised to see Melissa, but Alyson was fuming.

 She asked harshly, "What the fuck is this bitch doing here?"

 Brandon glared at her, and explained, "Melissa is running for her life. Ethan is trying to kill her."

 Melissa chimed in, "Please, believe me! You don't have to forgive me. Just help me!"

 Alyson's demeanor changed from cold to slightly concerned. She's not surprised that Ethan would do something like this.

 Alyson asked, "So, why is Ethan trying to kill you?"

 Melissa replied, "I wanted to break up with him, but he wouldn't let me."

 "Why? He didn't give you enough plots to try to destroy 7th Anthem?"

 "That's just it! I told him that if we plotted more, your band would just get more famous. We unintentionally helped you become an international sensation. Hell, you got a clothing line with H&M!"

 "Wait, you and Ethan actually helped us become the world's premier pop group? What did you two actually do to get us to where we are now?"

 With that, Melissa hesitated. She didn't want to tell Alyson the truth. But Brandon wasn't as nervous. He blurted this out: "Melissa paid me to seduce Andrew and turn him gay."

 That shocked the members, but Andrew and Alyson were furious. They couldn't believe what they just heard. All those months of being apart and heartache was crafted by Melissa and Ethan.

 Andrew said to Brandon angrily, "So, all the time we were together, the gigs and the sex you gave me, were paid for? All those times you said that you love me were lies? You were just paid to use me?"

 Brandon said, "It's not like that, Andrew. Yes, Melissa paid me to make you my boyfriend. I didn't want to do that. I knew you belonged to Alyson. Besides, I didn't even like you. You were, and still are, arrogant and stubborn.

 "But the more I got to know you, the more I realized what great person you are. You were not like the other guys. You were kind, caring, and sensitive. So I started to feel guilty. I gave the cheque back to Melissa, as I have fallen in love with you.

 "I did my best to love you, but it's like you weren't there. Then saw you kissing Alyson. I eventually realized that you'll never love me back. You love Alyson, not me. You were bi, but you leaned more towards girls, and Alyson. But everything I said, did, and felt for you was real. I meant every word I said, every deed I did for you. The only reason you felt our relationship was shallow was because you still had feelings for Alyson. You would never let her go. That's all I have to say. It's your choice to believe me or not."

 Andrew stood there, stunned and confused. He wasn't sure what to think and feel. He always felt his relationship with Brandon was shallow. It didn't feel real. There was no depth. It was just gigs and sex. Now? He sees that Brandon really loved him. He started to soften his face.

 As for Alyson, she told Melissa with a mixture of sadness and anger, "What possessed you to do this to me? How could scheme and plot to steal Andrew away from me, and attempt to make him gay? Andrew is the love of my life. I have always loved him.

 "When he cheated on me with Brandon, and admitted he was bisexual, my heart sank. He tore out my soul, and ripped it into pieces. I felt like I was zombie. I was heartbroken, angry, and depressed. I was embarrassed. It's like I turned him gay.

 "During all this time, I had to act like I was okay with this. The world didn't care about I how I felt. As long as Andrew as perceived as 'gay,' and sleeping with a guy, he could be one of the poster boys for LGBT rights. He was just another statistic, another 'breaking news.' I couldn't say or show how I felt. If I did, I would've been accused of being 'homophobic.' I'm not. I would've been fine with Andrew being bi. I kind of had a feeling he was. But not at the expense of my heart.

 "But why should I tell you how I feel? You don't care about me. All you care about is destroying me. You were bent on breaking up my relationship with Andrew. You knew how much he meant to me. You figured that it would kill me if Andrew went gay. Well, guess what? It did. He's back with me now. But you're gonna try to turn to him gay again, aren't you? You'll do anything to get me crash and burn, to become the next young celebrity to spiral downward."

 Melissa explained, "Alyson, I'm sorry for what I did. Yes, I wanted to destroy you. You got everything you ever wanted. Fame, money, fans, popularity. You're dating your childhood enemy. You get to performed in front of hundreds of people, in stadiums and on TV. Me? I dated a few guys, and worked at CBS as one of the suppliers for celebrity gossip.

 "But the more I worked with Ethan to try to bring down 7th Anthem, the more famous you all got. I realized that you were banking on your scandals. So I told him that we have to stop plotting against them. Instead, he got obsessive. If I didn't do as says, he would beat me up. I got the bruises to prove what I'm saying."

 Melissa lifted up her jacket and top. She showed her bruised stomach. The bruises looked fresh, as if the beatings happened hours ago. She put down her jacket and top, and continued, "Just a few hours ago, Ethan told me to cut the breaks off of the rental car that Bailey and Justin were in. I didn't want to, but he threaten to kill me. So I did it.

 "Believe me when I say I don't want to keep plotting your demise. I'm tired of all of this. I'll understand that you'll never forgive me for the damage I've caused, but I need help. If Ethan finds me, he'll literally kill me. He's absolutely out of his mind."

 The members stood there. They had nothing to say after hearing her admit to causing a car accident, almost killing Bailey and Justin.

 Suddenly, Andrew's iPhone buzzed. He saw that it was Jeremy, so he answered, "Jeremy, what is it? Why are you calling? Isn't it late right now in Boston?"

 He replied, "I'm in Vancouver right now. Melissa called me to help her. You are you all at?"

 That surprised Andrew. Melissa called his older brother, who was in Boston? He answered, "Me and the band are at the Vancouver General Hospital. Bailey and Justin were in a car accident that Melissa caused. Supposedly, Ethan forced her to pull this shit. So, go back to Boston."

 Ignoring that last remark, he asked, "Is Melissa with you all?"

 "Yes," Andrew answered reluctantly.

 With that, Jeremy hung up. Andrew turned to face Melissa, and said coldly, "Jeremy is coming for you. As for me? I'm leaving. I'm not going to be in the same room as you. You broke me away from Alyson, the love of my life. You plotted to have me turn gay, which I didn't. You were so bent on destroying Alyson that you put everyone else's lives at risk. Bailey and Justin are in the hospital because of you. I'm out."

 Just as the Andrew, and the other members were starting to walk away, Jeremy came into the building. He entered the waiting area. He's fiancée, Heather, was by his side.

 Jeremy said to Andrew, "Before you say anything, I'm sorry about Bailey and Justin. I hope they're doing okay. I don't like what Melissa did, but she did seem frightened over the phone. So I'm going to represent her as her lawyer."

 Andrew grudgingly led him to Melissa. When she saw Jeremy, she ran up to him, and hugged him. He didn't hug her back. In fact, he pushed her away.

 He told her sternly, "Andrew just told me you attempted to kill Bailey and Justin, so they're now at a hospital."

 She told him, "Look, Ethan forced me to do this. He threatened to kill me if I didn't."

 Jeremy looked at her. Then he turned to the 7A members, and asked, "Are you going to charge her?"

 The members looked at Alyson, as Melissa is her sister. Alyson stood there, apparently uncomfortable with the question. Melissa pleaded, "Alyson, you don't have to forgive me. I'm not asking for your forgiveness. I need protection from Ethan. Please, you have to help me."

 Alyson stared at Melissa, and asked coldly, "Did Ethan actually force you to hurt Bailey and Justin?"

 "Yes, he did. Those bruises I showed you were from hours ago. I told him that I wasn't I going to do it, but he beat me up, and threaten to kill me."

 Alyson glared at Melissa. The bruises did look fresh. She did seem scared. Alyson hesitantly said to Jeremy, "No...for now."

 Jeremy then turned to Melissa, and said, "Heather and I will take you into our hotel for a little while. Let me build the case around Ethan. I'll do my best to defend you, but it won't be easy if there's evidence against you. You were his accomplice. And let me do all the talking, okay?"

 Melissa agreed. With that, the members, and Brandon, left the hospital. They had to since visiting hours were closed, though they were allowed to go in. This was because they're celebrities.
