The next day I got up and rubbed my face. How the hell did I get up so early? seeing the sun coming in my room I checked the time on my alarm clock.

Hmm 1:00, yeah okay- wait it's 1:00 P.M!!! THE FUCK!!

"I am gonna be so late for school!"

"Y/N what happen-, Y/n what are you doing on the floor?" mum said giving me a judgy look.

"Feeling the cold surface?" I said rubbing my elbow which hurt real bad.

"Yeah, you can do psych stuff later, now get your ass up from the floor and freshen up." She said turning and was about to close the door.

"Why are so cool that I got up late on a school day? Are you allowing me to take a day off or is grandma visiting or something?" getting shocked as to why she isn't yelling at me like usual.

"Honey, today is a Saturday. If you want to go to school when there isn't even school today then go ahead." She said with a bored expression slamming the door.

"It's Saturday, huh?" I said getting up and felt the pain kick in my butt which also got involved in my crash landing.

I freshened up and made my way downstairs. I checked my phone and saw four missed calls from Emily and Molly.

"Shit, I am dead." I sighed knowing Molly is gonna get super pissed and kill me whenever I don't pick up her call.

I messaged them to meet up at the nearest coffee house.

"Mum, I am heading out," I said crossing the living room and made my way to the door.

"Okay, come back soon!" she said shouting from the kitchen.

The sun was out and it wasn't pleasant. It was fucking hot outside. I hurriedly made my way to the coffee house at least which had AC.

I entered the coffee house and sighed.

"Phew," I said panting a little.

People were giving me stares like I came in naked or something.

"What?" I said giving them a look.

"Over here!"

"I turned my head and saw Emily waving at me. I walked through the people who were in a line for their morning boost of coffee.

I saw the drink kept on the table as the droplets of water were streaming down from the cold surface of the glass.

"The one I like?" I asked Molly who was giving me a hard stare.

"Yes, yes The one you like. Now will you sit down tell us how was your audition, your highness?" she said unable to control her eagerness.

"About that...." I said seating myself down across them.

"It went okay, I guess. I mean it's-"

"The judges said good for my performance and all but"

"Well, that's good. It's good, right?" molly said asking Emily. Emily just shook her head sighing.

"You were saying?" Emily urged me to continue.

"But, one of the judges asked me if I could perform in a duo," I said uttering the last words in a whisper.

There was silence from the other side of the table. I glanced up and saw both their faces blank as if they have seen a ghost.

"Guys?" I waved my hand in front of them to bring them back from their world.

"H-huh? W-what?" molly said blinking her eyes.

"Y-you got an o-offer to p-perform in a d-duo?" Emily asked again.

"That's what I said." I nodded.

"So you will have to perform with someone in the next the round?" molly asked.

"Yeah, okay there might be a teensy bit of a problem there," I said faking a chuckle.

"What?" Emily asked.

"I don't know if I am selected for the next round or not," I said getting the feeling of sadness takes over me.

Sensing my expression and my voice they knew I was sad. They both got up from their seat and came to my sides. Emily rubbed my arm while Molly held my hand in hers which were apparently smaller than mine.

"But they did say they liked your singing right? So why are you worrying? Chill girl." Molly said giving me a grin.

"Molly do me favour and don't smile like that ever again," Emily said purely not liking her grin.

"Hey!!" she yelled poking Emily's arm.

All came to a pause. We all looked at each other and burst into laughter. People might be thinking we are crazy but it doesn't matter when you are with the people you cherish the most.
