Chapter 8

~Xavier~

I start to move in my bed….Wait, this is not my bed. It’s way too soft. I opened my eyes and see I am in someone else’s room. Oh my god. What happened last night? I have such a killer headache. I put my head into the palms of my head. The door opens and I see Ryder come in with water and something else in his hand. “Good, you are up. Take this.” He hands me ibuprofen and the glass of water. I tilt my head back tossing the medicine down my throat. “How did I get here? Wait… Did we….oh my god… I…” I began to say but he interrupted. “We didn’t do anything.” He laughed. “A guy named Dereck Drugged your drink so I slammed him against the wall and punched him. Then Shay told me to take you here instead of your house. So I did. And when we were on are way here, you said you was always in love with me and then you passed out. Then when we got here I was trying to wake you up. Then out of the blue you started to scream so loud. Louder than I have ever heard in my entire life. You said someone was about to die.” Ryder added. “I said that I loved you?” I asked nervously. “I don’t care about that. I care about when you screamed.” He pointed out.  “Oh… about that…… It was just a scream. I do that in my sleep sometimes. I should go.” I say and rush towards the door. I look up and Ryder is already standing by the door. “How did you do that?” I asked. “I have a secret too.” He responded. His eyes start to turn red and he starts to grow hair on his face. I look down at his hands and he is starting to get claws. “Stop…” I say but he ignored. I start to freak out. But then I stopped when I stared at his face. “I am a werewolf.” He informs. I grab his face and look at his fangs. I became amazed on the fact that he is a werewolf. He then turned back to normal. “I know you are a Banshee Xavier.” He tells me. “You can’t tell Sutton, Callum, Logan or Shay anything because they don’t know.” I demanded. He reaches for my face and stares at me in the eyes. “I am in love with you Xavier Reed.” He tells me and then his lips meet mine. His lips are so warm. They begin to glide along mine. He picks me up and lays me on the bed. I glide my hands through his shirt and I can feel his soft skin. How muscular it is. His abs are hard as a rock. He leans up and throws his shirt off and then reaches for my shirt. He begins to kiss my neck. He knows this is my weak spot somehow. I moaned loudly from the pleasure of his kisses. “Oh my god...” Sutton says standing with Shay. I push Ryder off of me and stand up in an instant. “I… Um…..” I couldn’t figure out the right words to say. “I came to pick you up, but I guess he already did that.” Shay begins to laugh. I rolled my eyes and covered my face up with a pillow. “Well I was coming to tell you guys that me, Callum, Shay and Logan are going to the Cliff. So if you guys want to come then you will know where we will be.” Informs Sutton. She and Shay walk out. “That was so awkward……” I laughed nervously. I reach up and pull Ryder back down to kiss me. He bites my lip and pulls with his teeth. I let out a moan inside his mouth. His eyes start to turn red. “Why does your eyes do that around me?” I asked. “Because you are my mate.” He responded. “What does that mean?” “It means that you are the one.” He responds. I begin to blush. So that means that I am the one for him? His werewolf won’t be complete without me? That is the most amazing thing I have ever heard. I feel loved so much. “Do you want to go to The Cliff?” I asked. “Sure.” He says and gets up from his bed. “Um…This is going to sound weird, but do you have any thing for me to wear? Because this stuff I have on right now smells like beer.” I ask nervously. “Yeah sure thing.” He smiles and reaches in his closet. He tosses me a pair of ripped jeans and a graphic tee. I smile and go into the bathroom to change. “Like I said, you don’t have to be nervous around me.” He says through the bathroom door. I giggle and open the bathroom door butt naked. “Better?” I asked with my arm against the wall. “Better.” He winked and picks me up. He pushes me against the wall and I wrap my legs around him. His door opens and Ms. Fallon walks in. “OH MY GOD!” She says and starts laughing. “Ms. Fallon? What are you doing here?” I asked Covering up. “She is the wolf that turned me into a wolf.” Ryder says. “Please call me Bay.” She laughs some more. “Anyway… I was here to check up on you because I heard you scream last night. And I immediately knew you was a Banshee. I was shocked that you were a male and did that. Because sweetie, banshee’s are usually females.” She added, “Well Bay, I am pretty sure I am not a female.” I responded. “He is so not a female.” Ryder smiles. “Ok, trying to get that picture out of my head. Ryder, does your boyfriend Xavier know that you are the leader of the pact? Well I am until he learns how to be a leader.” She says and crosses her arms. “No… And do you mind. I am still naked and you are standing right there. You are my teacher and that is just wrong.” I responded and ran to the bathroom. I hear Bay laughing through the door. I roll my eyes and start to put clothes on. I can’t believe she is a werewolf also. And she is the one who bit him? Oh my god. I knew Logan said that he was in a pack with Ryder last night. But I never believed it until now.  I never knew mythological creatures existed until I knew I was one. Things you think that is impossible turns out to be possible in this town. I walked out from the bathroom and sat back down on the bed. “You ready?” he smiled at me and reached out for my hand. “I wish I would find my mate.” She says and runs out of the room. “Bay is a little crazy.” I mumble. “I know.” Ryder laughed. He opened his car door for me and I got in. He is such a gentlemen. He used to be an ass though. Like a huge ass. If you looked at him the wrong way or the right way he would bite your head off. Literally. We drove through the mountains on the way to the cliff. The Cliff is a place where I, Shay, Sutton and Logan found a long time ago. There’s like a trail that almost half a mile long then there is a cliff with so much trees around that looks over the ocean. I used to go there when I got mad and tried to cool off. He reaches his hand out and I put my and on top of his. His hands are so warm. Like warmer than someone’s hands should be. It must be where he is a wolf. “How did you know that I was your mate?” I asked. “That night when I was driving to Callum’s, my eyes started to turn red in front of this big brick house. I didn’t know who lived there. I pulled on the brakes and looked at the house. Then a car behind me started honking. But then I came back and that’s when Shay handed you this book and I didn’t believe that you were my mate. Because I thought I was straight. But turns out that I am totally into you. I haven’t felt this way about anyone in my entire life. It’s like when I see you my heart stops then starts again. I can hear your heart beat every time you are next to me. It beats a thousand miles an hour. Your eyes melt into mine. My wolf starts digging at my skin wanting out and heading to you. That is how I knew you were the one.” He says and I start to blush. “That made me smile.” “I know. I can feel it.” “How does a wolf feel my smile?” “They don’t. Only if you are the wolfs mate. You can feel when they are in danger, when they are happy, sad, in love……” “What am I felling right now?” “You are feeling like you are the only one. You are felling passionate and irresistible. You are feeling loved.” He responded. I smiled huge and looked out the window. We pulled down a path through the woods. “What are we doing?” I asked. “I want to show you something.” He smiled. We drove about 4 miles down this path and hit a dead in. “Come on.” He says and gets out. He grabs my hand and we begin walking through the trees. The plants and bushes and the trees still have rain on them from the rain this morning. We reach this huge waterfall. The water keeps flowing down. There is butterflies flying around. It’s like the butterfly sanctuary right here. This is beyond beautiful. I let go of his hand and walk down towards the water. “This is where I was bitten at. I always came here since I was little. And one night, it was a full moon. Then everything changed. Two years ago I became one. I freaked out and had no one to help go through what I was going through. I had to deal with it myself.” He points out. “Was it hard to go through it?” I asked. “It was more than hard. It was more like impossible. But I had Callum and Sutton. They helped me. Even though they didn’t know what to do they still helped me get through it.” I hear something move in the bushes. “Did you hear that?” I asked. “Yeah, stay here.” He demanded. “No… Let me.” I stopped him. I closed my eyes and took the tranquilizer from my pocket and threw it like a dart. “Now, let’s go together,” I say and grabbed his hand. “How did you do that?” He asked. “My Aunt. Which also is the Librarian. She used to be a deer hunter and we used to hunt all the time. She taught me to protect myself and to take a tranquilizer everywhere I go also.” I informed. We reach the bush and an older guy is laying on the ground. I turned him around and I stood there in shock.

“Dad?” I stuttered. “He is your dad?” Ryder asked. “Yeah…. I haven’t seen him for years. My mom said that he moved to California.” I say and try waking him up. “Dad wake up!” I said and tried punching him. “Here let me try.” Ryder said and about punched my dad in the stomach when my dad opened his eyes and blocked him really fast and ran him into a tree. “Dad……” He turned to me and dropped Ryder on the ground. “You…. You are a werewolf……” I stuttered. “Xavier.” He said and ran to me. I stepped back away from him in fear. “I know you are probably pist at me still and I understand that but you have to understand I moved for a reason. I had to run because the wolf hunters were coming for me. I had to run. They had hunters everywhere in the United States. So I ran to Mexico. I had to protect you and your mother and trust me. I didn’t want to. But your mother knows why I did. I couldn’t talk to her and I couldn’t see her at all. Nor you. She understood and told me to come back when it is safe. But I can’t come back. It is too dangerous in Heavens woods. There is hunters everywhere. So I have been living in here. He starts walking towards the waterfall and walks through the water. I and Ryder followed. There is rocks in here. He moved a huge rock out of the way and it was a cave. There was lights going along the walls and then there was another door. He opened it and it was a house. How can a house be built inside a cave? There was a couch in the middle with a TV showing cameras all out through the woods. Then the kitchen. Then there was a hallway with an office and two bedrooms. “Did mom know you was a wolf?” I asked. “She knew everything.” He responded. “Your mother is a Banshee. She knew you would be one too.” He added. I and Ryder looked at each other. “Is this your boyfriend?” Dad asked looking at Ryder. “Yes.” Ryder answered him. I was going to say I don’t know he hasn’t asked me but I guess he is now. I mean I thought he had to ask that? That is just rude. But oh well. Dad looked over at Ryder. “He is your mate isn’t he?” Dad asked him. “How did you know?” Ryder asked. “I can smell it.” Dad responded. I put a weird look on my face so they know that I was freaked out. I start to get this weird feeling in my gut. Like something was wrong. I can feel it. He is not telling me something. He is lying. I look past his shoulder and I see pictures of all the werewolf’s and some with x’s through them. Ryder was one of them. And so was Bay and Logan. “We are going to go now.” I said and grabbed Ryder’s hand. We walked out and went back to the car. “You didn’t want to stay longer?” Ryder asked. “Drive now.” I demanded. He can sense that something was up. So he got in the car and drove off fast. “Are you going to tell me what’s up?” He asked. “My dad may be a wolf but he is not just any wolf. He is also a wolf hunter and has your picture, along with every other wolf in Heavens Woods.
