~Xavier~

~Night of the party~

Ryder and I pull up to the beach house and there is cars everywhere. There is music blasting so loud you can’t hear yourself think. But I still couldn’t help myself think about what happened. I mean it was like 4 days ago but still. My neck hurts like hell still. I know Ryder didn’t want to because he would hurt me but, I wanted to so I could be mated to him forever. We got out of the car holding hands walking up to the party. “Xavier baby!” Shouted Shay. She ran up to me grabbing me by the neck. I had the urge to growl and snap her neck for some reason. What was happening to me? “Oh I’m sorry. I forgot you are still healing.” She says rubbing my neck. “It’s fine.” I smiled giving her a hug. I had anger in me for some reason. I am never angry at someone unless they really hurt me. Ryder and Alena told me that there would be a chance that I turned into an Alpha with my mate. But it was rare. The thing is, Ryder is a rare Alpha. So that scared me. What if I turn? I don’t want to be a wolf. I mean, I didn’t want to be a banshee either but I was born that way so I have to live up to the fact that I may become an alpha just as my mate. “What are you thinking about?” Ryder whispered into my ear. “Nothing.” I whispered back. He grinned and we walked inside. This house has people everywhere. There is even caterers. Like really? Rene couldn’t serve anything herself? I rolled my eyes and we walked towards Callum, Logan, Sutton and Shay. “He love.” Sutton says kissing me on the cheek. I smiled and I wanted to get angry and snap her neck too. What is going on with me? I can’t deal with this. I need help. I squeezed Ryder’s hand and he turned to me. “We will be right back.” Ryder shouted and walking us to the upstairs. “The upstairs was off limits.” Rene informed. “Move now.” I snapped at her. “Dude, are you on your man period or something?” She asked me and moved out of our way. We walked into a bedroom and Ryder locked the door. “What’s wrong?” He asked turning back around. “Something’s wrong with me.” I informed him. “What do you mean?” “Meaning I want to rip everyone’s head off for some odd reason!” “Ok, calm down. Maybe it is just a side effect from the mating process.” “Maybe?! MAYBE?!” I shouted. He walked over to me sitting me down on the bed. “You need to calm down. If… If… You are turning into a wolf like me, then you have to be calm. Fight it off.” He informed me. I nodded and leaned against his shoulder. “I don’t want to be a wolf….” I said looking at him. He sighed. “I know… I didn’t want this for you either. But it could be just the side effects from the bite.” He said. “Yeah… You’re right. Let’s get back to the party.” I smiled getting up from the bed. He grabbed my arm and turned me around. “Or, we could stay in here.” Ryder said and began to kiss me. I got on top of him and kiss back. “OPEN UP!” Shouted Rene. She started banging on the door. We laughed and got up heading for the door. “What are you guys doing?” She asked us. “Something you wished you could do.” I winked and pushed passed her. Ryder began to laugh and followed me down the stairs. We walked towards the bar and they served us drinks. The cater girl looked at me strangely. Then I got a bad feeling in my gut. “You know what… I don’t want anything.” I said handing my drink back. “What’s wrong?” Ryder asked. “Don’t drink that.” I tell him slapping the cup out of his hands. I grabbed his hands and walked him outside. “What’s going on?” He asked. “That girl…. She stared at me weirdly when she handed me the drink. I got a bad feeling about her.” “I think you need some air. Because she is just a cater. I didn’t even get a bad felling about her.” He informed me. “Yeah. You’re right. I am going to take a walk on the beach. I’ll be back in a few.” I tell him and gave him a kiss. He nodded and I headed off down the stairs to the beach. I know my feelings. And I know that she is a bad person. I make it down to the sand and I heard a noise from behind me. “Hello?” I shouted. I turned back around and gulped. Then I heard it again and turned back around instantly. “Who’s there?” I asked nervously. “Hey, it’s just me.” Said the cater. “What do you want?” “Your father sent me.” She smiled. I gulped loudly making her laugh. “He wants you to come work for him.” “Why should I?” “Because, you will be protected.” “I already am protected.” I informed her. “Really?” She asks and 2 more people come walking from the dark. “Now, you either come work for him or we kidnap you and take you to him. Or we can just kill you.” She smiles at me. I started to get angry. I wanted to scream but something else happened. My eyes began to turn orange. Really orange. “What the hell?” She asked. I start to grow long claws and fangs. What is happening to me? I was angry. Too angry. I grab her by the neck and threw her across the beach and she hits her back on the rocks. The two guys come running towards me. I jumped into the air and they hit each other. I jumped back down and snapped the both of their necks. Then I turned back to normal. I didn’t turn into any animal. I just grew claws and fangs. I look over and Ryder is standing their next to Alena. They just stared at me and didn’t even talk at all. Just stared in shock. Tears start to build up in my eyes. And I just ran. I kept running. I don’t know how I am running this fast but I am. I hear Ryder behind me running. I run up into the woods and kept running trying to lose him. But I stopped. I couldn’t ignored him. I turned around and he was standing right there. He leaned in and hugged me tightly. I began to cry into his chest. Trying to figure out what to say. But I just couldn’t say anything. I just wanted to cry. I just killed three people faster than anyone else could. “What’s wrong with me?” I asked stuttering to my words from crying. “I don’t know.” He said squeezing me tighter. I just wanted to keep crying. I shouldn’t have done that. I was going to scream but instead I turned into something. I never even seen before. “Please don’t tell anyone.” I gestured. “Never.” He responded kissing my head. I felt so protected and comforted in his arms.
