Chapter 10

The Server was overjoyed that Purple was back, to say the least. The inhabitants were willing to accept Dark into the community- although, they were always a circle closer to each other than they were with Dark.

He was treading through the snow one day, just trying to find a peaceful place to sit when Snow just leaped out from right next to Dark and ran behind Snowman to hide. He ended up getting scolded and sent back to where he'd been sitting. Dark ended up sitting behind the cabin, legs dangling dangerously off the edge right where the void was.

It was peaceful there, as he'd found. A week in, and that was where he went every time he'd woken up from another nightmare.

Purple, on the other hand, was not pleased with the fact that Dark had been avoiding him especially when he was "in need of help from another living being". On the seventh day back, before Dark could even get out of the room he'd been given he was dragged into a surprisingly enjoyable hug.

Something so expected and unexpected was giving him controversial thoughts, and a major debate was going on in his head by the time Purple gripped him by the shoulders and told him "we're getting you therapy".

The moment Purple let go, Dark hit the button on his teleportation device and he was teleported back to the cabin the coordinates had been set to since the beginning.

Foliage, on the other hand, had forgotten about the entirety of the chaos that had happened before. He'd been happily socializing, talking to markers mostly in the forest and introducing himself. Running around like he was another collector, the only place he hadn't been was the end of the Difficulty Obbies.

"Jeez, Foliage. It's only been a week," Purple said, curiously proud and disappointed at the same time. "How did you do this?"

"Well, for one, I'm not old," Foliage teased, having to hold back a swat from Purple with a vine.

The three of them had spent a good amount of time with each other as well, even visiting the Forbidden Maze and keeping Forbidden company and Plus 4 from being so depressed. The two of them were honestly quite glad for the company, even if the two of them were at least 50 years older than the gang.

They'd given all of the dead markers proper funerals, and even then Purple was able to make everyone laugh- at a funeral- during Difficulty Chart's by saying "now, we would've come up with a great speech, but that tall ass man was so hard to reach it was difficult to get even close to what his life must've been like- pun intended."

Dark couldn't help but think that if anyone else did that, they'd get banished to the Dimension of Darkness where he'd been staying for the past seven years. He wasn't complaining, though. The three days they'd been busy with the last dead bodies? Not exactly the happiest moment of his life.

And still, with everything they'd gone through, Dark was glad Purple and Foliage were there to help him and keep him company.

Even if it wasn't going to last.

You've got a week, Wild Card's notoriously cunning voice echoed through his head.
