// personality overview //
Even as a kit, Wrenflight is incredibly curious and eager to learn, often badgering Nightchaser to tell her stories or filling in any gaps for him. She has a great memory, a quality she shares with her sister Mothpelt, which makes remembering DarkClan's stories that much easier. As she grows, she also proves to be a very determined and motivated apprentice, inspired by stories of Acornstar to train to perfection. Her strongest skill is hunting, but she is also a decent fighter, particularly when it comes to partner fighting. Her intuition and observation of others enables her to read others easily, which helps with not only fighting but also advising others when they appear to be lost. She helps Nightchaser multiple times when he feels lost, sometimes more forcefully when she feels he has become unmotivated and needs an extra push.
// relationship analysis //
Wrenflight does not know of her mother or father, but her relationships with her littermates are rather strong. Shademask, distant from the others, is not completely discounted by Wrenflight and she admires his stealth when hunting as it is something she was never truly able to master. Her relationship with Mothpelt is distant simply because they do not train together; otherwise, they get along well. Bramblefire is the one she is closest to as they train together and have a similar sense of humour, both of them very curious about the world around them.
Pigeonfang, Wrenflight's mentor, is not very hard on her during training and, at times, Wrenflight did wish her mentor would desire more. Since the DarkClan apprentices would often train together this did not affect her learning too much as she usually had the eyes of Rowanstorm and Skunknose on her, both of whom she admired greatly for their fighting and hunting skills, respectively. She is greatly embarrassed to have Nightchaser crash into her in the middle of training, particularly with Rowanstorm watching.
As an apprentice, Wrenflight forms a strong bond with Cinderblossom and is heartbroken when the older she-cat is made a caretaker. Like Nightchaser, Wrenflight can see the motherly qualities in Cinderblossom and always thought that making the she-cat a caretaker, while a good way to employ these qualities, would rob her of the queen's life that should be hers.
Her closeness with Cinderblossom, in part, is due to her desire to get to know Nightchaser more closely. Even as a kit listening to his stories she always admired the tom and hoped that, one day, he would notice her the way she noticed him. These feelings did not turn into romantic ones until later, when she realized how deeply troubled Nightchaser had become and she suddenly had the urge to help him. More than once, his lack of motivation at deciphering StarClan's words or working towards the training her needed to lead the rebellion made her question her feelings towards him but, with a little push, she knew he would do everything in his power to escape DarkClan. Her biggest hope for the future was finally being able to see Nightchaser without the weight of the world on his shoulders.
// trivia //
// The story of Acornstar was always Wrenflight's favourite as a kit and inspired much of her hard work as an apprentice
// Wrenflight's warrior name was originally supposed to be Wrenflower, but I felt it was too soft; I also considered having her die an apprentice
