Pearl Sparrow can't remember anything from before she was five years old. All she remembers are vague, foggy images of blue and yellow. She thinks she had a family and siblings but can't seem to remember. Sailors found her unconscious and floating on a piece of debris after a massive storm. They took her to the closest part of land, which happened to be no other than Tortuga.

From the moment she woke up, the previous five years of her life have been a blur to her, she can't even remember her own name, but Pearl never really cared about who she was before her memory loss. She had bigger problems...like surviving.

The sailors who found her left her in Tortuga with nothing, so Pearl was cast out on the streets. For three years, she learnt how to pickpockets and swindle even the most cunning of pirates.

All that changed, however, when she stole a certain compass and stowed away on a ship with black sails... it turns out that the owner of that broken compass was no other than the capital of that black sailed ship, Jack Sparrow.

Jack is, unsurprisingly, angry at the fact that his ship not only has a stowaway but that the same CHILD stole his compass. He was going to drop her off at the next port, but along the way, he saw potential in the small street urchin of Tortuga and soon one port turned into the next until one day she never left.

The crew quickly took a shine to her as well and treated the girl as if she was part of the crew. Jack named her Pearl, after his beloved ship, and took her on as a sort of protege, teaching her the ways of a pirate and training her to be one of the best marksman and swordsman on board the ship.

Pearl loved it on the Black Pearl, the salt wind in her hair, the stories that Jack would tell her of him and his friend Will. She even got to join him on one of his adventures when they met Blackbeard in search for the fountain of youth when she was just 13. but most of all, she loved the freedom!

The monkey Jack has also taken a liking to Pearl. She feeds him and gives him scritches, so they are never seen apart, and she has lovingly nicknamed him MJ, which Jack hates, but at least the monkey isn't bothering him anymore and looks out for her.

After surviving three years through starvation and loneliness, Pearl finally feels she has a home and thinks of Jack as a father calling him Papa, and although Jack never says it out loud, at least not to the crew, he considers Pearl his daughter and calls her his "Capitan-in-training".

But old habits die hard, and Pearl has a severe case of sticky fingers, her pickpocketing has saved Jack and the crew from a lot of money troubles and has nearly a decade to perfect the act, but everyone's bound to get caught eventually.

One day when Pearl was walking around the docks with MJ, she decided to pass the time by pickpocketing, and it just so happens that the victim was none other than the crown prince of Auradon Ben.

Now Pear has had many reactions to being found out. Usually, a lot of shouting, fighting and the occasional scar to show off later...but she's never had someone hug her, the boy was hysterical and kept crying that he finally found her and that Mum and Dad would be so happy.

Pearl, understandably, didn't know how to process this new information, just yesterday she was sailing the sea with her Papa and sneaking rum from under his noes, and now she finds out she's a crown princess of Auradon.

Long ago, on the night she was found, the royal family had been on a cruise to celebrate the twins birthday, but there had been a storm, and Pearl had been swept overboard and lost at sea. 

Pearl doesn't want this, and although her mother and brother seem nice, she's happy with the life that she has now. Still, her new parents, especially Adam, aren't going to let her sail away with a pirate, they believe that Jack is responsible for her disappearances and loss of memory.

But Jack isn't going to let his captain-in-training and honorary daughter be taken away, but picking a fight with a former beast isn't the best idea, so Pearl comes up with a plan that her father and his crew will be pardoned of all past present and future crimes as long as she stays at Auradon. Both sides were reluctant at first but eventually agreed.

Jack is reluctant to let her go but deep down he knows this is for the best, the life of a pirate is no place for a child, when shes an adult, sure, she's welcome to sail the seas with him but until then she needs to connect with her family so as a parting gift he intrusts her with the compass that she stole all those years ago.

He tells her what his capitan told him all those years ago, that this compass points to the thing she wants most and if in the end the family life becomes to much he'll be waiting for her in the direction it points.

So off Pearl went to live with her new family, their joy at their reunion was infectious, and even Pearl herself was feeling slightly optimistic herself, never in all her ten years of being an orphan had she even considered her lost family and although she was sad to leave her Papa behind perhaps this won't be so bad after all.

As it turns out, Pearl and her mother have more in common than she thought. Pearl loves the crew of the BP, but they aren't the most well-read bunch, so she didn't have anyone to relate to in terms of books and because of this, she instantly felt a bond towards her mother, Belle.

Ben is sweet and is very eager to be a brother to Pearl and make up for a lost time. Pearl loves him, but she's never really hung out with any teenagers her age, and his over-eagerness and protectiveness can be overbearing to her at times. He is way too optimistic for his own good, but Pearl has gradually been warming up to him and believes in his vision of helping the people on the Isle and those in need and wants to help as well.

Unfortunately, not everything is smooth sailing. Ever since Pearl came to Auradon, she and Adam have butted heads, Belle says it's because they're too much alike, but Pearl thinks differently. He barely lets Jack visit, refuses to call her Pearl and won't let her go anywhere without a chaperone or guard.

Pearl hates it. She feels more trapped in Auradon than she ever did on the ship. She feels both angry and sad. Her parents were heartbroken at the loss of their daughter Rose but whoever that girl was ten years ago is gone, and until Adam sees that and accepts Pearl for who she is, she will never call him her father.

Whenever Pearl manages to escape from her assigned guard, which happened more than the king would like, she can be found in either two places the royal library or the royal docks. 

Now Pearl and Adam may not see eye to eye, but if there's something she's grateful for, it's her ship. As a celebration for her return, both her parents gifted her a sailing ship of her very own, and pearl has to admit she is one of the most beautiful ships she has ever seen.

Made of ivory wood with ebony and silver detailing, the ship stands tall with its scarlet sails. Pearl named it The Bonnie Rose in memory of her old name, and whenever she feels trapped or overwhelmed, she sets out and sails to clear her mind.

And that's how life continued for six months. She read with the mother, hung out with Ben, wrote to her Papa, argued with Adam, and sailed in the Bonnie Rose, rinse, wash, repeat. Until one day, Ben came to her with an idea, he wants to invite children from this Isle to Auradon as his first royal decree, and he wants her support when telling their parents.

Pearl couldn't really care about royal decisions, but if there's one thing, she feels strongly about its equality, although she never lived on the isle she spent three years in Tortuga cold, starving and only thinking that she was abandoned to die and she would give her own life to make sure none ever goes through anything like that ever again...so she agrees.

Apart from greeting them when they first arrive, the VKs and Pearl barely interact with each other until one night fateful night, where Pearl had had enough.

All she said was that she wanted to invite Jack over for parents day, and before you knew one thing led to another and Pearl and Adam were shouting at each other and hurtful things were said.

Pearl had had it and was dead set on sailing her ship out and never coming back and she would of succeded if not for a certain Harry Hook stopping her.

When it was first announced that five children from the Isle, Harry didn't really care, but when he found out that HE was one of them, he hated the idea, he would much rather Mal and the others go so he and Uma can take over the Isle.

But when Uma overhears Malificents plan to steal the fairy godmothers wand, she wants it for herself. So harry agrees at Uma's request and steal it from under their noses after all...one person is less suspicious than four, and the VK are none the wiser.

Upon his arrival to Auradon, Harry is immediately drawn to the beautiful ship in the harbour but what shocks him, even more, is that the captain and owner is none other than the missing crown princess herself.

Pearl was not what Harry was expecting he'd heard about her disappearance all those years ago, everybody on the Isle had, but to find out that she had lived as a pirate and was raised by nonother that Jack Sparrow himself!...well harry was certainly intrigued.

Never the less he had a mission, to steal the wand and return it to Uma,  or at least he would if he could if it wasnt so damned difficult!

Turns out that not only is the wand protected by a magical barrier but the only way to get close the wand is to go as Bens girlfriend and Harry doesn't seem to be his type, and the most infuriating thing is that Mal and the others seem to know a way around that little problem thanks to magic.

Harry is furious at the fact the he's being beaten by the VKs of all people, he knows next to nothing about magic, that's Umas expertise and one thing he doesn't want to do is return to Uma empty handed he'd rather not return at all if that were to happen.

On a late night walk to clear his head and think of a plan he finds his way to the beautiful ship that caught his eye when he arrived and onboard seems to be a rather upset pirate princess trying to cast off, its then that Harry has an idea!

The VKs have been so obsessed wiht the crown prince that they've compleatly forgotten about the crown princess, she'll be along side him as he's crowned as well as her significant other, Harry doesn't need any magic to get someone to fall for him, his charm usually does the trick and this unconventional pirate princess is his one way ticket to the wand, it cant be that hard can it?

turns out it can, because this strong, fistey pirate princess is incredibly dense when it comes to no matter how many one liners he throws her way or how strongly he flirts Pearl sheems to be blidhfull unawear of his altieriojr motinves all she seems to think he's doing is being friendly, one pirate to another.

Not the ideal start to Harry's eitherwise brilliant plan but he can work with that, start of as friends and then work his way up its easy! Pearl is a lovely lass and seems to understand him better than anyone, maybe even Uma.

its not until some time has past and the more that the two pirates spend together that Harry thinks less and less about the wand or the Isle or Uma and more about Pearl and when they can see eachother again, what can he do to make her laugh or whe they can go sailing again just the two of them and before he knows it, he's fallen for her hard and fast. 

but the time of ther Coronation is fast approaching and the last thing he want's to do is hurt her he cars about her too much for that to happen but how can he do that when that was his goal to begin with, how can he tell her that their friendship started out as a lie?

And for Pearl? Harry has been a godsend, he felt like fresh sea breeze in the once stale air of Auradon, he gets her and understands her, he dosn't make her conform to the standers of Auradon he sees her as she is and loves her for it, with him here she no longer feels alone.

Pearl has never experienced love, heck she's never even seen it, Jack wasn't exactly the role model for love and romance but wiht Harry she thinks no fells that what they have is real.

Jack always told her that not all treasure is silver and gold and its not until her compass points to a certain hook welding pirate that she finally understands the true meaning of his words but can love overcome lies even if they no longer have any meaning to them.

Pearl hates to see food go to waste. She knows what it's like to starve and that a small portion of food is the difference between surviving to the next or death, so she always manages to clean her plate or feed the rest to animals.

She speaks with an English accent but is well versed in several languages she picked up from Jack. she is also an excellent sword and marksman.

She has no interest in the royal life but has expressed an interest in commanding the royal navy

she is always seen carrying a rapier and pistol but no matter how many times the teachers try to confiscate them she always seems to have one with her

Her real name is Rose, but she doesn't like nor want to be called that anymore and instead uses it as her middle name

Pearl is a spunky, free-spirited girl with strong morals and is just as cunning and witty as Jack. She doesn't care for the airs and graces of royal life but she can appreciate the finerthings in life.

She is not the most ladylike and literally swears like a sailor, she is an excellent fighter and has a slight temper, but she is not afraid th stand up for what she believes in

Pearl really hates people who have entitled and snobbish attitudes. She also hates it when people assume and think that about herself

she is well-read and quite knowledgeable. She loves to read and learn new things. Growing up, she didn't have a lot to do to read abandoned books and papers she could find or that Jack gave her.

Pearl doesn't like to be told or ordered what to do and, for that reason, has a strained relationship with Adam, who is constantly trying to do her act and dress more princess-like, which Pearl hates.  She doesn't like the fact that he wants her to call him dad and completely disregard the pirate who raised

Growing up on the streets in poverty, Pearl has a strong appreciation for the luxuries and privileges she has both before and after finding out she is a princess.

Tortuga and pirates live outside the laws of Aurodon, and while they aren't outlaws, they are definitely not approved by most and are looked down as rougs or undesirables.

Pearl has been living at Auradon for six months before the VK's and Harry arrive.

The news of Pearl's disappearance had reached the isle of the lost as it was suspected she might have washed ashore near the isle, but none of the Isle's inhabitance knows that she had been found until they saw her.

Pearl gets along better with her mother than she does with her father, she loves ben as well, but sometimes he can be a bit overbearing
