41: All Grown-Up
Bhun Uyi sat down in the searing heat once again with his creations. What could he do, what could he do? He came along with Heski and Kario multiple times to the Throne House. But they hadn't gone anywhere.
And now today, Bhun Uyi was out in the heat, selling his creations once again. He walked around this time, bumping from person to person. This gave him much more Pesing Pebbles but his mind wasn't there. It was at the Throne House. It was with Heski and Kario. It was with creation and change.
Bhun Uyi handed his last creation to a passerby as she handed two Pesing Pebbles. The sculpture wasn't worth much. It was a smaller tree that easily fitted in her triangle-shaped basket.
He then placed the Pesing Pebbles in his basket. There were eight Pesing Pebbles in there, plus the two he dropped inside.
Bhun Uyi strolled in the Oceanuris Market, glancing around as he headed back to his home in the cracks.
Valencia's voice rang in his head.
Continue this disobedience, and you will perish.
He remembered her bringing up the topic of execution to them plenty of times. She ordered with a cry to retreat back to their place. If you follow me, your wishes and aspirations will burn you alive. So return to your home, and you will be safe and survive.
Home... Bhun Uyi's was burned, wasn't it? And he was cornered outside, pushed to see the Oceanuris streets and people pass by every day.
But what about you, huh? Heski's voice echoed as well. Are you just going to retreat to the Manor the people made for you? Are you just going to return there and ignore our calls once again?
Valencia Qa had a place to retreat to. In the Manor and the Throne House. She didn't need to see anything, if it didn't concern her and her well-being. She could hide as long as she wanted and live there forever.
Listen to me and you will survive. I'm telling you now. Valencia's sword rattled as she pointed it. Besides, Oceanuris is fine. I am doing my role perfectly fine. If you step out of line, a blade will meet your flesh for the last time.
Bhun Uyi picked out Heski's voice in his mind.
Retreating to the Manor. Bhun Uyi glanced up on the hill of the Oceanuris Manor, where the dragons and the Satchrels slept. And he looked at a stand selling matcho flowers.
He created a plan.

A couple days later, Kario strolled through the Oceanuris Market streets. Bhun Uyi spotted him in the crowded streets, and strolled over to him. He tapped Kario's shoulder and gave a smile.
"Hey, Kario. If you can, bring anyone you know tomorrow at your place, and tell Heski, too. I will also be there. For we will plan a rebellion."
And we will create change. For the people of Oceanuris. Bhun Uyi's heart glowed brightly. And soon it would cackle into a flame.

Kario's eyes widened as Bhun Uyi grinned at him.
"Really?" He asked him as they continued to stroll in the Oceanuris Market.
"Haha, yes," Bhun Uyi lowered his voice. "At the rate we are going, Valencia Qa could easily ignore us. Or worse..." Kario glanced at Bhun Uyi with an indifferent expression. He wasn't afraid of death. He knew that every day he breathed was valued and alive, so he'd die fulfilled.
He was more worried instead about recreating Oceanuris for a better future.
"So what's your idea?" Kario matched the dynamic of Bhun Uyi's voice.
"Like I said. You're going to have to gather as many people as you can tomorrow at your place." Kario bit his lip at the thought.
"There won't be a lot of people. I don't know if you're planning an army, but—"
"That's fine." Bhun Uyi turned his body to the matcho stand. "I have to gather materials. And just bring whoever is willing to come. Even if it's not a lot of people. We'll need all the help we can get."
#
Heski sighed, shaking his head at Kario as they sauntered in the streets.
"Okay, but how many people do we need for Bhun Uyi's plan?" Heski asked, his eyebrows furrowed. Kario patted his back with a smile.
"Bhun Uyi doesn't need an army. He just needs those who are willing to stand up for justice." Heski bit his lip as the corners of his lips lifted to a smile. "And besides, I know someone who is willing to help."
Heski placed his balled fist on his own chest with a raised eyebrow. Then his lips lifted into a smile. Oh, her! Heski's eyes twinkled and Kario chuckled as they both stopped at a house.
Kario reached his hand out to the door. Knock. Knock.
And it opened, and they found Leiyun waiting on the other side.
"Hey, Leiyun. If you have the time, can you come to our place?" Kario asked. Heski had his fist balled, like he was hoping for a certain reaction. "Bhun Uyi has a plan that he created."
"And you said that we could ask for your help when we needed it." Heski added with a hopeful twinkle in his eyes. Leiyun glanced at Kario and Heski, and then behind her to the rest of the household. And she looked back at Heski and Kario with a smile.
This must be about Valencia Qa. She thought to herself. I did promise them. She promised them her help, back when she found Kario to help look after Laminia.
Leiyun looked back at Heski and Kario with a smile.
"I'll come." She smiled at them. "I'll just tell the others that I'm going with you guys," She turned around as she walked into Yeserno and Laminia's room.
I'll do everything for you guys. For as long as my fire lives. For as long as I do.

"I really wish we had more people," Heski wiped his forehead and sighed as Leiyun, Bhun Uyi, and Kario all sat at the table of their home, with matcho flowers scattered all over it. Leiyun grinned at Heski and chuckled.
"At least I came," she pointed out with a cheerful grin. Both of them shared a look before turning to Bhun Uyi. "So what's your plan?"
"Well, I'm thinking that Valencia Qa won't listen to us." Bhun Uyi started. "And that she could easily just retreat to the Manor that the people made for her."
"Right," Kario nodded his head as Heski shot a bitter look, his mind flashing to the endless conversations before he and Kario glanced at each other with a small beam, shining to each other from the darkness.
Bhun Uyi sighed.
"So I'm thinking that we have to destroy that. Destroy the Throne House, and then go and burn the Manor that the people made for her. She needs a reminder. Of why she chose to become immortal." Bhun Uyi shooted a look at the floor. He could almost smell the fire from the night his house was burned. We could at least control the fire, not letting it reach the people of Oceanuris. "And we'll keep the flame from reaching the people below. This will be a call to Valencia to finally get off that chair..."
Leiyun, Kario, Heski, and Bhun Uyi all went silent. Their lips were all closed as their minds screamed loudly. Who would rule Oceanuris then? What if she just ignores us? What if she just ends us with her sword just there?
Bhun Uyi bit the inside of his lips.
He remembered his home getting burned. How he nearly died, and still he tried to extinguish it.
And there was Valencia Qa. Immortal. If her Manor was in flames, she wouldn't die. But Bhun Uyi knew that if she remembered her people and her glowing promise, they could possibly give her a second chance.
She made living seem like a bad thing. Like all they had to do was wander and survive. Surviving wasn't exactly a sin either–but what was there to survive and live for, when the flame flickered and waned. When it wasn't there at all?
They had to take matters into their own hands. To change Oceanuris for the better. They wanted to make their lives better. And they would rather live and glow and burn from their given life's meaning or die doing so.
