Link's POV:

Unlike regular bombs, Bomb Flowers light as soon as they are picked. However, like all other bombs, there is a limited time until they blow up...a very short amount of time. There wouldn't be enough time for me to carry one all the way down the mountain. So I contented myself with hurling them down at the boulders. It wasn't easy, and took a few tries, but I finally managed to throw a Bomb Flower directly at the boulders.

With a tremendous BOOM, the boulders exploded into a gazillion tiny fragments.

I proudly made my way to the cave opening. When I got there I was shocked to see that the cave wasn't a cave at all! It was more like a small room with more Bomb Flowers growing off to one side.

"There aren't even any monsters." I vented to Navi, feeling as though Darunia was just trying to get at me for annoying him. Maybe he would even lock me in here.

"Hey! Hey Link!" Navi called from the back of the room.

I went over to see what she was calling me for. I swear if she says something like: "This room is made of rock!" I'll put her in a bottle.

"What is it?" I inquired, hoping whatever she said would prove to be actually useful.

"This area looks suspicious, doesn't it?" Navi indicated the back wall.

I looked at the wall and noticed HUGE cracks. I mean, I noticed them before but they hadn't really bugged me. Cave walls tend to not be smooth. What DID peak my curiosity was the i\faint light coming through the deeper cracks. "Well...I do like exploding things..." I laughed and grabbed a Bomb Flower, chucking it at the wall before running out of the cave like a madman. With another boom the wall of the cave crumbled and revealed a large cavern. It was very warm inside, I even saw a shallow, oozing pool of lava. At the back of the cavern was the biggest skull I had ever seen. Navi informed me it belonged to a long deceased dodongo. I shuddered and thanked Hylia that it wasn't alive.

No monsters in sight yet, but there are these strange machines. 

"Those are Beamos. They shoot laser beams when they see you." Navi answered the question that as just about to leave my mouth.

"Noted." I smirked. Those tin cans would be easily blown up by a bomb. I saw another cracked area to the right, along with another beamos. I hopped on a platform and then blew up the cracked area, which crumbled into a doorway.  Once inside the new room, a bunch of strange creatures started surfacing themselves out of the dirt. I slashed at the small creatures (which were almost as big as me) with my sword.

Then they started blinking.

"They're going to explo..." Navi started.

"I KNOW!" I yelled as I ducked behind my Hylian shield for cover.

After they were dead, Navi helped me figure out that I needed to shove these statues (she called them Armos) onto their switches. A barred door was opened and so I went through it.

I took a step into this room and was immediately locked in. There was lava everywhere and I began to get overheated. 

"Watch out for the Lizalfos!" Navi chimed.

I turned to see a tall blue lizard jumping onto my platform with a triumphant yelp. I jumped back and swung my sword around.

I managed to damage it pretty bad, but before I could deliver the final blow, it ran away.

"Coward." I mumbled.

"No they work in pairs." Navi corrected.

"Why didn't you tell me that before!?" I cried as another Lizalfos hopped onto my platform.

Again this one ran away after I dealt it a severe blow. Then the first one came back and I managed to finish it off. Ditto for the second one. The door behind me was unlocked, as well as another one further away. I went to the further one and hurried through it, just in case more lizard men came at me.

This hallway was dark and cool. I heard heavy stomping and saw larger versions of whatever babies I had killed before.

"They're toddler dodongos..." Navi whispered.

"WHAT!?" I almost screamed. I did NOT want to let ANY of these things grow up, I mean look at how HUGE that skull was!

Their tail was their weak spot, I had to avoid their mouths which would breath fire at me. And they too, exploded after I killed them.

I had to then light three torches for the door at the end of the hallway to open. Now I came into a room that had a tall stone platform with three armos surrounding it. Navi informed me to be careful since an armos is very strong. I decided I only wanted to have to take on one, and so pulled the on in front of a ladder forward. It didn't attack me so I guess that was lucky.

More exploding and rooms, until I found a treasure chest. Inside was a bomb bag and twenty bombs! I smirked at Navi. No more Bomb Flowers for me...

After a few more rooms I found myself on the rickety bridge above the dodongo skull. There was some old sign saying: When the dodongo sees red, the path will open.

"Maybe fire?" Navi asked.

I took out a bomb. "Maybe the item we've had to use this entire time?" I have to admit I really just like exploding things.

I threw the bombs into the eye-holes, which both glowed red after the explosion.

The jaw opened up and I warily entered inside of it. I don't have a very good feeling about this.
